I was talking to my neighbor who'd just had his roof replaced and he recommended that I call his contractor, he was happy with the work they'd just done on his roof and had known the project manager for years. I called Stuart with ProRoofs Restoration he was out that day to take a look. He gave it to me straight, I have Allstate and they are hard to get to cover anything but he thought the damage was enough to warrant the new roof. I called and set up an appointment for the insurance adjuster to come out. Stuart was sure to be on site while he was here to show him all the problems he'd found. Thanks to his efforts, Allstate agreed to cover the roof, gutter, and drywall replacement. We worked together to put together a contract we could agree upon. I did not want to include my back patio because it needs to be replaced, not just replace the roof. We did add another section of gutters to help alleviate some of the issues with water drainage on my garage roof and added and solar attic vent. Stuart helped me get the information I needed for the HOA approval which I sent by email and was approved in just 2 days! ProRoofs was able to start the project within a few days. They took 2 days to remove and install the new roof. The workers were very nice and professional, they did a terrific job. Stuart and his gutter contractor came out a couple of days later to measure for the gutters, while there, he noticed a gas smell. He called me while I was out of town to let me know. I suspected it was my gas lamp out front that had been blown out by winds and rain from the previous night, he helped turn it off for me. Also, they noticed the insurance company didn't give me enough credit to replace all the gutters. I tried to reach out to the insurance company and they were slow to reply and it was as if they didn't even read what I'd said. Stuart called and talked to them personally and I got approved for all of my gutters being replaced. The insurance company did not include the downspouts but thanks to Stuart, they were now covered. The final part of my project included drywall repair and paint for water damage in my garage. We waited until there had been a couple of good rains before moving forward to ensure the new roof was good, which it was. The painters came out, replaced, repaired, and repainted the drywall. Stuart was not satisfied with the job performed so he asked them to make some corrections which they did. It looks way better than before. Doing an insurance claim repair isn't always easy, but ProRoofs did everything in their power to ensure everything was done quickly and correctly. I couldn't thank them enough, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend the ProRoofs team. They were always there to answer my concerns and questions, the project management side of this was superb! They went beyond my expectations.

There was nothing wrong with our bathroom before, it was just outdated. They did a decent job, but now we're noticing mold growing all over the cabinets. We've never had a mold problem before. Mold is growing under the sink, in the drawers, it's especially growing on the pieces of wood where it's been cut and the edges are rough. We told Mark about it, he came out and said maybe the cabinets are sealing too well so he put cushions on the cabinet doors and drawers. He also re caulked the sinks, and put on wall penetration covers. He took moisture readings behind the vanity and said it was saturated with water and proceeded to cut a huge hole in our hallway. Upon inspecting all the pipes, there was no sign of any leaks. We didn't do anything different in the bathroom, but there I was having to scrub mold off my new bathroom cabinets. The only thing that has changed in the last 7 years of having this house is the new bathroom cabinets that we had Gulf Coast Builders build and install, and now there is mold. Now Mark wants $350 for repairing the hole he cut in my wall. We didn't ask him to cut the hole in the wall, and he didn't tell us beforehand that he was going to charge us $350 to repair. Now he's not responding to us since we told him we shouldn't have to pay for the wall damage he created. We've called and texted him and no reply. Attached are all my moldy pictures and the big hole in my wall. I wouldn't recommend this company.

Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be extremely disappointing due to poor communication, repeated tardiness, and lack of professionalism. On January 3, 2026, I contacted Patrick for an estimate. He came out and quoted $25 for the visit, and we later scheduled service for Tuesday, January 6 at 10:00 AM. The total service was $1,200, with $480 paid upfront for materials and labor. On January 6 around 10:00 AM, my tenant asked if he was on his way. When I reached out, Patrick said he was having car trouble at AutoZone. I asked him to coordinate directly with my tenant to reschedule. He suggested a nighttime appointment, which did not work for her, so we rescheduled for Tuesday, January 13 at 10:00 AM. I confirmed the appointment the day before, and he assured me we were set. On January 13, I texted him at 8:30 AM saying I would see him shortly -- no response. I followed up at 8:45 AM for an ETA while heading to the property, then called at 9:30 AM, and texted again at 9:45 AM. By 10:00 AM, I was on site and still received no calls or messages back. By 11:00 AM it was clear he was a no-show. At 11:18 AM, I hired Preventive Pest Control for same-day service and requested a refund from Patrick since no service had been performed -- again, no response. At 3:06 PM, Patrick finally arrived hours late with his crew and without any prior communication. My tenant informed him another company had already been scheduled and turned him away. He never contacted me afterward to apologize or explain. The next morning at 9:00 AM, I called to request a refund. He hung up on me and later denied it. At 9:52 AM, he emailed claiming the payment was non-refundable despite no services or materials ever being provided at the property. I considered filing in small claims court just to recover the deposit, but ultimately chose not to pursue it. No customer should have to consider legal action simply to recover payment for services that were never performed -- especially after giving the company a second chance and defending them to the tenant. This situation was frustrating and entirely avoidable with basic same-day communication. I would not recommend this company to anyone managing a property or expecting reliable service.

Then he proceeded to tell me he was going to charge me 1 thing & the insurance company another to "help me out". That's insurance fraud! I was told he would check out what was damaged. I did a test run with the walls in my bathroom and the cabinets. I was so disappointed. The color was not what we agreed on and it took them two weeks to finish due to different issues popping up. I was fed up and contacted T&J Renovations after a quick google search. I sent them a message to get a quote and got a response within 5 minutes. They came out the same day to look over everything and we scheduled something for the following day. They were on time, friendly, and finished the same day...which is what I had expected from the previous company, but anywho...they were great! This company really turned my frown upside down. Even their prices were better than the previous company my friend told me about. Fast, friendly, efficient...what more can you ask for?
