It can be difficult…read moreto find someone you connect with, and shares the love of design and flowers as you do, but you are reading this review, so your search is over, you need to hire Breesa at BLOOMS design house. I love flowers and nature and was going for a whimsical but not over the top garden feel, and she not only was able to nail what I was going for, she elevated it in ways I could not believe. She has a brilliant eye for detail, comes to you with so many great ideas, but also is kind and always okay with changing things or tweaking her wonderful work. She is also a joy of a human being. Her shop is pretty much the best place ever. She is always available, ready to bounce ideas, and as you approach the big day you can go in person to work on arrangements together, and she will send you digital mockups ahead of the wedding week to finalize things. She also has wonderful and reasonable rental rates for everything from candles to vases to containers, and was able to source flowers from her relationships with vendors, but also is quick on her feet when things are not available (especially with all the supply chain issues when we got married!) to still have beautiful arrangements that match the colors of anything that was not available or in season at the time. Everything was perfect, and every time we spoke on the phone or saw her in person, it was like being with a close friend, excited to make our vision come true, and she did. Breesa is amazing, if we could always have her do arrangements for all of our life events from here on out, we would, without hesitation. Thank you so much Breesa!

CLASSIC / BOHO / COASTAL WEDDING VIBES - CHECK!…read more It was the absolute pleasure working with Alona for our wedding floral needs. After vetting 18 floral vendors (yes, 18!!!), Alona came in the strongest and was able to understand our vision the most. She was very easy to talk to on the phone as well as over email. Over the course of almost 14 months of wedding planning, there were times when I had to reach out to her and update our floral count. Alona did not give us a hard time about the updates at all or make it seem as if she was annoyed, unlike how other florists were while I was just vetting them! Our floral vibes were to be basically all white roses, baby's breath, with some boho touches to the arrangements. My initial bridal bouquet incorporated white roses and a few orchids. The biggest painpoint for us was having to lock in the best deal despite how many boutonnieres and corsages we needed for our larger (FIlipino traditional) wedding. Not only did Alona come in the closest to our floral budget, on the day of the wedding, she surprised me with absolutely beautiful touches of white peonies and carnations to my bouquet at no additional cost! Additionally, the bouquets for each of the tables as well as on our wedding cake were full and fresh looking. All of our guests complimented how beautiful the flowers were and wanted to take an arrangement home! I cannot recommend Alona enough for your wedding florals. Wedding planning is already super stressful. Make it less stressful by partnering with Alona and her team!

I wish I had a better review to write as Alona was great to work with in the beginning…read more Unfortunately, the area I was most disappointed on my wedding day was the florals. I was very specific about my floral vision and discussed in detail with Alona several times on what I wanted. Specifically for reception, the most important floral element for me was the sweetheart table. We discussed repurposing the ceremony florals to create a full, circular arch behind the sweetheart table with additional florals around the base of the table. She had assured me we would have enough florals from the ceremony to repurpose to not only the sweetheart table, but also the welcome table/bar/cake table as well. I even bought more florals for the ceremony arch to achieve this sweetheart table vision. However, this is not what we received. On the day of the wedding, Alona's team told us the start of our reception needed to be delayed by approximately 30 minutes because they were still working on the reception florals. We waited to seat our guests because we wanted to give them the time they needed to finish. Despite the delay, the sweetheart table installation was still extremely sparse and looked unfinished. The arch behind us was mostly bare and there were only two floral arrangements on the ground. I have attached the inspiration pic we discussed and the final result. I was mortified when I saw it - it looked so bare and incomplete. Additionally, this delay threw off the rest of our reception timeline. Dinner had to be shortened so we ended up having to skip "table touching", which was something we had really been looking forward to. I was very sad and disappointed when I walked into the reception because the sweetheart table was one of the elements we had discussed in detail as I cared a lot about it. The ceremony arch had a significant amount of florals, so I am still confused about what happened during the repurposing process. I am confused where the ceremony arch flowers went, since they don't appear to have been used to create the sweetheart table installation nor were there any flowers at the bar, cake table, or welcome table. I reached out to Alona after the wedding to understand what happened. It has now been almost three weeks without a response. I would have appreciated the courtesy of at least an explanation. Paying 5 figures for florals to have the sweetheart table look like this is incredibly disappointing. When I look back at my reception photos, I get upset with how bad and bare it looked. Don't even get me started on the ceiling florals that started to fall during the reception. I highly do not recommend Chic Flowers.

I was nervous no one would understand my vision and wow was I wrong- in came Linzey. It's like she reached into my brain and created EXACTLY what I had been envisioning. We texted and emailed a ton over the 6 months or so leading up to my wedding. She continuously sent me inspiration pics, vases pics, we bounced ideas back and forth, you name it! I felt like she truly understand what I was going for, the vibe, the colors, everything. I live in Orange County and Linzey is San Diego based. We had some other vendors who were also located in SD and Linzey went above and beyond her florist duties and even coordinated meeting up with other vendors to pick up items for me to save me drives down that way. She didn't want just the flowers to turn out amazing, she was doing anything she could to make our entire wedding amazing! And to top it off - when a groomsmen ripped a huge hole in the crotch of his pants within an hour of our ceremony, Linzey jumped in and even sewed his pants for him! She truly was the Wonder Woman of our wedding! I don't have all of my professional photos back yet but can't wait to share how much I loved her. We received so many compliments on our gorgeous bar florals and I was told by family, friends, and other vendors that my bouquet was their favorite they had ever seen. Other florists were wanting to charge me for every stem and leaf (we wanted quite a few tropical leaves), but Linzey showed up the day of with a ton of extra leaves and flowers just to make sure nothing looked bare or empty. She ended up decorating our cake table, cocktail tables, and guestbook table, all just because she brought extra florals for us, I mean wow! Other florists were charging hundreds for a few leaves. I honestly cannot recommend Linzey enough. I will miss her talks and pictures moving forward, as she was so fun to work with! She is truly a precious gem of a woman and an outstanding Florist!
