I did her a la carte option which was very helpful because a lot of places I looked at had a minimum, but Breesa had a wide range of package options, as well as a la carte. She sent me digital mock ups and mood boards as well that really helped me visualize what things would look like. On the day of when I got to the venue and I could see everything being set up I was blown away by how beautiful it all was. Our aisle markers and arch were stunning and the bouquets and corsages and flowers crowns for the flower girls were perfect. I am so sad to give Breesa from Blooms Design House 3 stars. :( She is such a sweetheart and she was always willing to adjust her schedule to speak with us. Our wedding was postponed for 2 years due to covid and we finally had our wedding on July 4th, 2022. Out of all the vendors we had, the flowers were the most disappointing. I had envisioned the flowers for so long and provided samples on how I wanted them to look. The day of the wedding, there were flowers in the salon and I thought they were courtesy of the venue. When the photographer asked me to hold my bouquet for the photo, I responded with, "this is my bouquet?" It was so small, almost the same size as the bridesmaids' and it had no pampas which I sspecifically emphasized I wanted throughout. My photographer immediately went to go find Breesa and they added pampas flowers but they were extremely skinny with no volume and super brown (not the fluffy beige/offwhite I envisioned). The arch hardly had any fluffy pampas and when we entered the reception, I was surprised to see how small the center flowers were. Mostly all the flowers were dying. I will say, this is in July so I can imagine the flowers don't last long, but I was sad to see they were quickly drying out. We also had requested pampas and flowers on the garlands for the llamas, and it looks like there were no flowers or pampas, just the garlands and they were a bit too big for the llamas too. Overall, for what we paid and the communication given throughout the 2 years, I was very disappointed to not be content with the flowers and decor. Unfortunately, I was a destination wedding and did not have a chance to see the flowers in person. I would still recommend Breesa because she is so sweet and excellent at getting back to you. I would just try to be extremely involved and not rely on just providing samples and giving your wedding colors. I trusted that this would be enough but it wasn't. If you live in California, I would highly recommend being there in person. Don't forget to ask how the flowers will look for the time period/season you will get married. read more

This florist is so incompetent and unorganized it's ridiculous. I fear for all future brides that trust them enough to handle their florals on their wedding day. The fact that they couldn't even organize their consultations should have been the first red flag. I understand we're all human and make mistakes but this florist takes no accountability whatsoever for theirs. Never called me for my consultation and didn't even reach out to tell me she was sorry for not calling, literally heard nothing from her until I had to reach out asking when she can call since she never did, her response was an excuse with her being busy and that she was sick with no apology and not apologetic whatsoever. She also has emails sent out whenever you email her that is automatically sent saying that she's behind on emails with the excuse that she's a mom that's busy and that she accidentally closed her tabs with all her emails, quotes, and work. This email has been sent out for 2 months now... I had my consultation with her and was clear about what I wanted and was looking for, I told her I wanted a full floral arch and she understood and told me that we can redistribute it into center pieces for about half the tables. She made my quote and portfolio/vision board and I had to send her emails to finish my portfolio weeks after my consultation so I can see the vision board which was apparently a mission for her to finish. Even when she did finish it, it was half assed and I had to email her again to finish it up and put the flowers of the actual colors that she was using. I had to email her again after, asking why the full floral arch wasn't up there as well and she then sends me an updated quote change from "$750" to "$1,250" for the floral arch. I contacted her to ask why the price changed and she said it's because I now wanted a full floral arch and not a 60% coverage. I told her I never wanted 60% and have been asking for a full arch this entire time and her response was that I should have checked the quote for unexpected changes that she decided to make without communicating to me. Again, refused to take accountability for HER mistake and basically told me it was my fault for not realizing that SHE made unexpected changes that I did NOT ask for. She then told me that she makes changes to fit people's budgets but that she doesn't communicate that to them and they're expected to catch that and then told me we weren't a good match. Makes no sense to have a consultation surrounded around a product and ask a million questions about it all for her to put something completely different that was not even discussed or considered on the quote. UPDATE: Now she's texting me a paragraph on my personal phone number at 10:30 at night because I left this review and she's saying it's "fraudulent" since I did not book her. Very professional of her to harass me over my honest review. As you can tell, her actions are a great reflection of her business. For clarification, I did NOT book her, thank goodness. read more

2.5 Stars. We booked the FULL SERVICE FLORAL DESIGN + EVENT STYLING My wedding was beautiful. I loved all the colors and all the flower selections. However,Breesa and her team did not fulfill several items on my contract and left a huge mess for the hotel staff to clean. My husband and I did not receive what we ordered and paid for. The arrangements on our wedding day did not look anything close to what Breesa presented to us at the mock up. Breesa and her team seemed rushed on the day of our wedding and the end product showed it. My coordinator spoke with one of her staff members, and they were complaining and said they didn't have enough help. My coordinator tried calling Breesa during cocktail hour to figure out why 7 of the tables had absolutely no flowers and Breesa was nowhere to be found. I was informed that Breesa and her team left such a mess setting up/tearing down- that the entire housekeeping team at Alila was called to help clean up after them. Below is a list of all the things that Breesa and her design team did NOT fulfill, and for the record, this wasn't their first time at Alila Marea. 1. Illusion Arch-in the contract we had asked for symmetrical arches, close and curved, but not touching; we were given pillars. We had a very detailed discussion on what my husband and I were expecting. We even included pictures. Also, there appeared to be dried stems of flowers and leaves that my coordinator had to remove so they wouldn't be in the photos. Filler flowers: I had made it very clear to Bressa from day one that I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT want any carnations in any of my installations. Of course, there were carnations. 2. 7 Vignette gatherings for guest tables with candles and bud vases. This was the BIGGEST disappointment and embarrassment! They looked NOTHING like the mock up. Where was the collection of glassware and floral vases? As you can see in the pictures, the mock up had way more bud vases and loose flowers arranged in a circle. The guest tables had only 3 bud vases. I was so embarrassed and fuming when I saw these tables. 3. 6 Elevated centerpieces. She didn't even have the centerpiece made at our mock-up. I trusted Breesa and I didn't think she would let me down. Three of the six arrangements were very sparse. I expected the arrangements to have more colors and flowers, clusters of flowers; it was all greenery. These were the same arrangements that were used to line the aisle for the ceremony. Breesa's excuse was that she needed more time post-ceremony to rearrange these arrangements. These arrangements should have been ready the day before or the morning of. They shouldn't need a touch up prior to their move from the ceremony site to the ballroom. 4. Charger plates-my full package service allowed me to use Breesa's chargers. She had written in the contract to bring 130 plates. We were short 7 plates and my coordinator had to scramble and use the hotel's serving plates as Charger plates. My coordinator and her team had to help Breesa unload the Charger plates and wash them because Breesa didn't bring enough help with her. 5. Escort card seating display. It was missing an entire shelf of bud vases and the flowers that were used appeared to be wilted. The edges of the wallpaper were sticking out and it just looked overall very messy. I arrived at the hotel at 230pm and the ceremony was supposed to start at 4pm and you could see BDH just scrambling to wallpaper the boards. After the wedding, I had asked my coordinator to speak with Breesa about what happened. Breesa refused to speak with my coordinator and would only communicate with me. I was on my honeymoon and out of the country with spotty service so was unable to call Breesa. When I emailed her the list of my complaints and asked for an explanation I was only given excuses and blame on everyone else but her/her team. I did ask for a partial refund since the goods I paid for were not delivered in full- and was met with a resounding NO. Breesa and her team at Blooms Design House are true artists with an exceptional eye for beauty; however, the business, timing and accountability needs improvement. read more

My new husband and I just got married on 3/25/21 and we hired Breesa to provide the florals for our wedding! We instantly connected with Breesa, and felt she aligned perfectly with our personalities and the vibe we were striving for-- 70s/Boho. She worked with us on the pricing to make sure we could still get something exquisite even on a tighter budget by providing options and honesty on what things we should priortize! I found this cute little gem by chance. I frequent a coffee shop around the corner and when I found out that one of my favorite barista's was leaving, I wanted to surprise her with flowers. I try to only support small businesses/local businesses when available so I turned to Yelp. Not a lot of flower shops popped up but BLOOMS immediately caught my eye. After our walk, we headed up the shop and was greeted. They are so nice there and the flowers are beautiful. It wasn't overwhelming but you do have a lot to choose from. These aren't your typical flowers though. There is something about the colors and the variety of these flowers that just make them super special and personal. We bought a few sunflowers and said that it was a gift. The transformation of this sunflower bouquet with the added greenery was such a nice touch. They were wrapped in brown paper and sealed with their company sticker. Those small but personal details is what sets them apart from other shops and especially big box stores. She has a brilliant eye for detail, comes to you with so many great ideas, but also is kind and always okay with changing things or tweaking her wonderful work. She is also a joy of a human being. Her shop is pretty much the best place ever. She is always available, ready to bounce ideas, and as you approach the big day you can go in person to work on arrangements together, and she will send you digital mockups ahead of the wedding week to finalize things. She also has wonderful and reasonable rental rates for everything from candles to vases to containers, and was able to source flowers from her relationships with vendors, but also is quick on her feet when things are not available (especially with all the supply chain issues when we got married!) to still have beautiful arrangements that match the colors of anything that was not available or in season at the time. Pretty much all my flower for My wedding were dead. I was missing bouquet for my bridesmaid, my bouquet was dead and my maid of honor had to make my own bouquet and hers. My flowered that I had to toss were my mothers due to the fact that my tossing flowers were not made for me. Groomsmen boutonnieres made wet marks on all of the men suits and flowers were falling off. Groomsmen ask the florists if they could show them how to be place on one of the men with them giving attitude and walking away .Number of flowers were missing. Seating chart, welcome sign, bouquet toss flowers, bridesmaid flowers, yellow flowers and blue flowers missing from the center pieces and one piece of greenery and petal scattered for my memorial table which cost much more than what was provided and much more flowers missing. I had talked to the owner on a Tuesday since I knew she would be closed on the Monday and my wedding was in a Sunday. The wedding of my dreams did come true but when I look back at my bouquet I am surely glad my venue had amazing flower to be picked and my family brought some yellow flower to Make my bouquet look beautiful. I did get some money back and I am grateful for that, but it doesn't make up for the memories and the dreams of my yellow flowers at my wedding like I have always dreamed. Maybe I got Breesa team on a bad day but I will never recommend her florist for flower again. She was the only vendor that messed up and even my venue said it was one of the worst flowers they have seen from the mock-up to the really thing. So if you want to 50/50 shot pick her team. I initially hired Breesa pre-COVID for my October 2020 wedding. Well those plans did not stay intact for very long but Breesa was incredibly flexible and supportive through a postponement and an eventual total change of plans. She worked with me on my vision (and second vision and third vision...) and respected my budget. She also helped me with ideas for a new venue for my downsized wedding and a referral for a coordinator who saved my life in the month leading up to the wedding. I met with Breesa months before my wedding, with nothing to show her but a few photos on my pinterest account. I know nothing about botany and florals, so I did my best with what I had to describe to her my vision. The theme of our wedding was "Tropical island" so I wanted to include a lot of palm leaves and bright tropical flowers. Fast forward 6 months and I am handed the most BEAUTIFUL bridal bouquet, rich in colors and better than I could have imagined. Anyone who is planning a wedding please pay attention to this review and if you still decide to book with the owner Breesa, all I can say is you have been warned. First of all, her staff arrived VERY late. I even had other vendors for my wedding who complained that you being late caused their schedule to be off. How EMBARRASSING for your company to have that reputation now. They also left a ladder at the venue that my poor mom had to return, left the candles and vases in broken wet boxes, and of course if they are returned damaged, we have to pay for it. Luckily my mom was extremely careful and didn't break anything but way to set us up for failure. When this was brought to her attention, Breesa says "we never asked your mom to return the ladder." First of all, YOU'RE WELCOME. You could at least say thank you. Second, any professional staff who can arrive so late for a wedding where other vendors notice and are affected, and also forget a tall ladder is a pretty good indicator on how Breesa runs her business and expectations she holds for her staff. As if that wasn't bad enough, there were SEVERAL things I paid for on the contract that were never done... including AISLES FOR MY CEREMONY. What florist forgets major details like that???? How can this be okay with any company who cares about their brides? But it's okay with Breesa. In fact, Breesa argued for a month with me on excuses on why these things were not done. Then she argued with me that things were actually done when they weren't. First excuses and then denial. Breesa, you weren't even there..... i have pictures, videos, AND witnesses to attest to what what wasn't done. I got reimbursed more than a month later, and even then, she didn't reimburse me for everything that wasn't done. She chose what she thought was appropriate for reimbursement. Interesting way to run a business. I don't even want to deal with Breesa anymore and her excuses and I'll accept the loss of money out of my own pocket. However, I can do my part and warn every bride about this company. If you are a bride who gets up everyday and works hard for her money, I would spend that hard earned money elsewhere. I understand that companies make mistakes and weddings never go perfectly....but cmon Breesa. Don't argue with your customers and don't blame other people (like my bridal party) for your mistakes. So unprofessional on every single level. I wouldn't even be writing this review if you just apologized and treated me with respect and reimbursed me properly. But I hope that extra money in your pocket was worth it to you, Breesa! read more

I was part of a vendor team for a wedding last month. Usually as I am setting up my equipment I do not even notice the florals or their setup as it is usually done and set. Bressa/BLOOMS was scrambling around and still setting up last minute and were way behind schedule. In speaking with the wedding couple as I always do for my post wedding follow up I found out how unsatisfied they were with the flowers and the arrangements which were not set up in the way they had agreed and and expected. Apparently the florist tried to blame it on the coordinator who I work with on a regular basis. This coordinator is one of the most squared away professionals in the game and always provides precise timelines to all the vendors. Sad they couldn't take ownership of their own lack of timing and preparation and added a blemish to an amazing wedding that was epic and executed to perfection outside of this severe disappointment. When she sent over the initial proposal it was like she understood my vision for our florals and décor better than I did, I hired her instantly! The florals for our ceremony and reception were more gorgeous than I ever dreamed they could be, from the bouquets to the overflowing arch, to our sweetheart table... everything was absolutely perfect! Being a COVID bride and working through rescheduling, cutting guest lists and everything else, one of the least stressful areas of our wedding was the flowers because I just knew Breesa got my vision. I can't form into words just how much Breesa blew our minds for our April 2019 wedding at the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. I am so thankful we were able to book her for our day; I knew from our initial meeting that she was the one for us! I loved her ideas, her creative process and trusted her vision 100%. We gave her examples of what look we liked and wanted, but really at the end of the day I knew she'd know best and it felt great having that kind of trust in a vendor. Fast forward to wedding day: When my personal florals arrived to our hotel, my jaw dropped!! Just seeing mine and the bridal party bouquets made me a thousand times hyped for seeing the venue! I already knew she hit a homerun, just stunning work. The ceremony and reception florals were beyond beauty, no match to what I could've possibly envisioned! A friend of mine referred Breesa, even though I was a little bit unsure of what I was doing, I texted Breesa and I told her that I was worried about my flowers, because I didn't know what I was actually doing. This is when she asked if we could meet and we could talk about what I really wanted, it was nice of her because we didn't need to meet, but she just wanted to make me comfortable and I really appreciated that. Everything was so perfect, more than I could ever imagine. My bouquet was unique and so were my bridesmaids bouquets. I had a small wedding and her touch made a huge difference on our decoration. It's a cute store & I can tell that most of their business comes from flowers but let's be real...a lot of their flowers are dying. Like I'm a customer walking into a flower shop AND the flowers are not looking their best. I should have taken photos...The store has other plants as well & the lady working told my mother & I While shopping that she forgets to water plants for months,which I find odd because this is a PLANT shop...Haha. Is this a joke... There were no prices on anything & took her a while to even give us a price on a pot..and she gave us TWO..yes TWO different prices... I'm always trying to support local and I love plants BUT I honestly can't come back to this place...Plus the store is a little cluttered..I suggest rearranging the store so that the plants in the store can thrive as well! read more
