Thank goodness for Yelp because I would've never found Kathy otherwise! I texted her on Wednesday and she was able to get me in Friday. She was very friendly and I felt really comfortable in her studio. I've been getting Brazilians for 10+ years now and I've gotta say this was the least painful wax I've ever had. 100/10 will absolutely be going back again! read more

A patron of wax & lazer hair removal services since 2012 - still have to wax for maintenance due to hormonal changes. Even started self-waxing in 2016. Based on Yelp reviews, I went to Kathy. Since Valentines 2021 -- now over a year she's the only professional I go to for waxing and recommend to all my female compadres. - Affordable prices, half price than other salons and quick, efficient & comfortable experience for my usual 10 minute session total in and out for a braz wax. - Communication by text gets back to you within the hour for appointments on a working day (Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat) sometimes even on days off... - Schedule 1-2weeks advance because she books fast and usually full on Sat with no wait list. (She's closed Sun, Mon, Wed) as of Aug 2022. - Service is clean and strict on time since a full braz wax session you can be in and out in 10 minute tops... I'm in, bottoms off, laying down, she comes in, we talk two sentences & already I'm bare and getting dressed, pay cash and go so she can start next appt... I make appts via text but you can make appts there if there is time before her next appt. She's quick, efficient & friendly convo. Down to earth and fun to talk about culture, food, music, etc. - Location is a curb side store front, can't miss. - Parking options infront are 4 street meters or the adjacent street has parking on both sides by the gas station. read more

Today was my first visit with Kathy and will definitely Be returning. I've been getting Brazilians for the past 4 years and Kathy is the most affordable! She's located right off of Beretania on Kalakaua so you'll need to park on the street. It's a small shop but very clean. Kathy is very sweet and easy to talk to and gave me the fastest Brazilian I've ever had! And she catches everything! Not only is she affordable but she's also efficient. Mahalo Kathy for providing such wonderful and affordable services. read more

I was introduced to Kathy's by friends who wanted to have a waxing outing. You're either open to waxing or you're not. There's no in between. My first visit was about 8 years ago and now she's the only place I go when I want that smooth, beach-ready look. Cash only. But if you forget, there's an ATM at 7-11, across the street. She does keep hours but I find that appointments are the best way to go. Additionally, having been involved in hula, she also makes beautiful lei, haku as well. And they are more affordable than most places because she just uses flowers in her yard. She often makes lei during graduation season but you can contact her for other events as well. She created the lei for both my engagement photos and for the guests at my wedding. read more

Been going for over a year now, this review is definitely way over due. But I LOVE coming here to get my Brazilian wax. She's efficient, friendly and the prices are affordable!! $26 for a full Brazilian!! She talks to you throughout the process and makes you feel at home. 10/10 would recommend to a friend (and I did) read more

Kathy is the sweetest! She's super hard working and she made me feel comfortable because it was my first time getting a Brazilian wax. She was super quick too. 10/10 would recommend. There's meter parking right in front of her shop too but if they're all taken there's a lot of other places to park nearby. & her pricing is super fair considering the work she does!! I don't think you'll find anyone like her and the way she runs things. Super friendly yet professional!! :-) I will be returning!! Thanks Kathy!! read more

I'm a guy and I was nervous about getting my eyebrows waxed. No need to be nervous - she was terrific and they came out great.

Still going to Kathy, and loving my results from waxing. I took a break from waxing for about a year ... and I definitely regretted that! Shaving sucks! Prices are still cheap as ever, but the quality is GREAT! Still very much so highly recommended!! read more

I had a Brazilian wax done by Kathy. She is super sweet and did a excellent job. $26.00! It's kinda of a hole in the wall place but very clean. She's my new wax girl. read more

Talk about value! Kathy's brazilian wax is only $25! She responds quickly. I was in a pinch and scheduled with my wax lady back home in Vegas for the wrong day and had to find someone quick! I stumbled upon Kathy's yelp and decided to go for it. Like most people I was a little nervous because it's someone new I was willing to try out since I'm on vacation and needed a quick wax. I'm glad I went with my instinct and found Kathy! She is super sweet and talked to me the entire time during my wax, it wasn't painful for me as we ladies know how a brazilian can be painful depending on who or what their technique is. I highly recommend Kathy! You won't regret it, I promise! read more

Kathy is absolutely amazing and I'm happy that I to have found my go-to waxing spot! I've been to quite a few spas/salons and I have to say my experience at Kathy's was by far the best. She's incredibly sweet and made the whole waxing process very quick, comfortable and pleasant. If you're looking for an affordable Brazilian wax, I highly suggest checking her out! By the way - CASH ONLY! read more

Called to make a last minute appointment for a event and was told she was booked. Completely understandable. But I also asked if Kathy could give me a call if anything opened up and to my surprise, she did! She took me and I was very pleased with the service she provided. She's very calming and uses hard wax for Brazilian. She even did some areas she didn't need to as part of her service and still only charged $26.00+ for the entire service! Such a great deal!! Just from talking to her you can tell she has a big heart. I'm so glad I found her! She's a true definition of what aloha is. Thanks for a great experience, Kathy! Congratulations on your son's wedding! l read more

This is the best place to get a brazilian wax. Kathy runs this salon on her own; she does hair too! She is very friendly and fun to talk to. She uses a different type of wax than other salons that I've been to. She doesn't use the paper to take off the wax. After she puts the wax on you, she waits for it to dry (which only takes a few seconds) and she peels it off. I think this way is better- it doesn't hurt as much & it's clean (no leftover wax on you). The best part is the price!! It's only $20!!! And you can not get that price for a good brazilian anywhere!! read more

Kathy is seriously the best hidden secret for Brazilians. The rumors are true, $25 for a full Brazilian with hard wax! I've searched Yelp and the internet high and low and for hard wax you're looking at $50+ anywhere else. Just finished my second wax with her and I know I won't go anywhere else. And maybe I thought the worst before going in so it wasn't too painful the first time and now that I go more often, it's not bad at all. Street parking only, but I usually go on weekdays and I've never had any issues. read more

I love this place! I came here about 2 months back for a brazillian. It was a miraculous $20! That price is simply unheard of! I was so happy, that I tipped her an extra $15! The place is small, and only run by her. However, it is neat, clean, and very cute! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a cheap, quick, and easy wax. Totally worth it! The parking is a little difficult. You need to find street parking, but other than that, it's great! read more

I'm so thankful an acquaintance had referred Kathy. It's been over a year since I had a wax and I love how she's kind, understanding and fast at waxing. I've been hesitant about going back to waxing but the visit with her and the price of course, how can I not. I Will definitely be visiting her again and recommending her to others. read more

10/10 excellent service, price, and care. Kathy is really nice and treated me very well for a first timer. I really liked that it's her own salon, it's the true meaning of supporting local business. When I called to schedule an appointment she called me back within just a few hours and had great availability. I felt safe and never "over exposed". Facility was clean and quaint. Maybe it was me, maybe it was her but it wasn't at all painful- even for my first time! She uses hard wax which I think was most effective over soft wax strips which pull heavily. I'm very happy with everything! I highly highly recommend and will return if I am in the area. Thank you Kathy! read more

All the other Yelp reviews are 100% accurate!! Kathy is super sweet and easy to talk to. I've tried those fancy spas for waxes and rate Kathy's far beyond others! She does an amazing job at an unbeatable price and she's quick, too! I'll absolutely be going back :) read more

I went to Kathy's for a brazilian after reading some reviews about how cheap they are! Not only did I pay $20 for my wax (not including tax), but she uses the hard wax and Kathy really made me feel comfortable during the procedure. The wax was a little hot and she did strip large sections at a time, but after I told her how hot the wax was and if she could strip smaller sections at a time, she willingly adjusted. Overall great experience. I plan on coming again and I would recommend it to other people. It beats paying $50 any day. read more

Great customer service fantastic. A big fan of the Brazilian waxing. Always makes you feel comfortable in the one on one customer service is amazing. read more

Went here after doing research for a new waxing place and found this spot at random. First of all the price of $20 Brazilians are unheard of! I thought my other salon was pretty cheap at $50 but besides the awesome rate Kathy, does a awesome job and is very personable! She has a small yet very clean place! Definitely I will be coming here for more! read more

Say what?! $20 for a brazilian wax!? I was actually a little bit scared to try this place when I heard how low the price was, but let me tell you, this place is awesome! Kathy is super sweet and totally makes you feel at ease. She is also super quick and no nonsense which I love. I've tried other more expensive salons on the island, but none have even come close. I usually park for free at the fast food joint down the street. read more

You won't find a better deal anywhere else in Hawaii for brazilians. Quick, affordable, and one of the least painful waxes I've ever had. Kathy uses hard wax which is WAY less painful than soft wax and won't stretch your skin over time the way soft wax does. A lot of salons will charge more for hard wax so this is an amazing price, and I was in an out in twenty minutes! read more

$26 after tax for a full Brazilian wax. 26 DOLLARS !! Best deal on the island hands down. She uses hard wax and it's fast and less painful than the other method. Only downfall is you have to find street parking. Other than that I have no complaints. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I went to Kathy's to do my lashes on 05.31.14. Let me tell you, my drive from Kapolei to her shop on Kalakaua Ave was WORTH it!! Its a small salon that is neat and clean. Kathy works alone so she pretty much does appointments only. I paid $35.00 for my lashes and i totally love it! Can't go wrong with her prices! My co workers noticed my lashes so I had to refer them to Kathy's! Parking may be difficult but we scored right infront of her shop. There's only street parking. Definitely planning a girls get together at Kathy's with my girlfriends. Kathy is very down to earth and easy going. She is a sweet heart. Kathy's is the place to be! read more

Best Brazilian wax experience I've ever had!! Highly recommend Kathy for waxing of any kind! She is so so so sweet and makes the process as easy as it can be! Will be going back to see Kathy read more

I don't know why I haven't reviewed this place sooner! Kathy is great and there is no one else I will ever go to for Brazilians ever again unless I no longer live in Hawaii .. For $26.17 incl. tax you can get a Brazilian wax. You will never find that price somewhere else. Other salons/spas will cost $60 and upwards. Not only is she affordable but she does an amazing job too. And she is so kid friendly. She is understanding when I bring my baby with me and also gives me really good parenting type advice. I haven't tried any of the other services she offers because I don't really care about getting my nails done etc but I'm sure that everything she does is high quality and affordable. read more

I love Kathy! She always does a great job and I never hesitate to recommend my friends to her for waxings.

$20 BRAZILLIAN WAXES! Yes, they hurt, they aren't perfect and the place is tiny (you get what you pay for). But Kathy (the owner) is the sweetest and makes you feel very comfortable. I've only gotten waxed here, but I think she offers an array of services. And $20 brazillian waxes are unheard of! This place is a gem that has been referred to by friends-of-friends for a couples years now. She fills up fast, so call way in advance! read more

I have been going to Kathy for many years. I am an Asian male with shorter hair and I get my hair permed and cut there. She is extremely skillful especially at being able to get the rollers applied to my shorter hair when others before her could not. Her cutting skills are also excellent. Finally, she is a very friendly and kind person with many engaging hobbies and stories - an excellent conversationalist. Also, her prices are extremely reasonable for the level of service and quality. read more
