Ordered the low country boil and the seasoning was great. The waitress was busy on her phone at the bar the entire time. We had to go to the bar to ask for cocktail sauce and it was like jelly. I was driving back to Tampa from Panama City and decided to take a detour to get some oysters. $14 for 6 medium/small fried oysters in the dinner basket?!? The fish dip came out on a small plastic shell and waitress just dropped crackers on the table. It was 2 small scoops of the dip for $7. Insanely way too much mayo and overpriced. Great atmosphere, entertainment and food but more than that the waitresses are even better!

Hands down the BEST place to eat in all of Steinhatchee!! After trying various places and ending up disappointed, this place was a diamond in a rough! The owner came to our table and was very passionate about explaining the quality of the foods he offers. He was willing to prepare anything and everything however our hearts desired. The tuna is grade A sushi grade and very fresh. The flounder was amazing as well! Others in our group had the mixed boil (crab legs, whole shrimp, whole crawfish, red potatoes and corn) and it was cooked perfectly. Nothing worse than shrimp that tastes like rubber! Mama's sweet heat shrimp was delicious. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Exceeded all expectations! read more

Really enjoyed having their low country boil. Their fish sandwiches are also the bomb!

Food good, shrimp excellent. HOWEVER! The $40.00 Grouper dinner is not Grouper. I've been fishing the gulf and Atlantic for over 50 years. Caught, cleaned, cooked and eaten many, many Grouper filets and throats. What we were served tonight was either the Chinese swai or basa. It's Asian farmed catfish. Shame on either Kathi's or the distributor who pulled the wool over their eyes. read more

This place is not very honest. My family and I ate there this past Saturday our bill total was $160.09. I paid $160.09 with my check card put $0 on tip part since I gave $30 in cash. I look on my bank statement Monday 08/17/2020 and $190.09 was taken out from this restaurant. I've been calling since then and all I get is a voicemail with a full mail box. I am disputing the charge through my bank. We will never go back. read more

Worst experience ever. Went with my husband and two young children who were very hungry. Waited a long time to get seated. Once seated, we waited for 30 minutes and no one even came to our table. Very disappointed with this experience at Kathi's. Don't order the seafood platter! Says feeds 4-6, barely fed 3 people. Asked for corn as a side and it came with one piece of corn? For 4-6 people? Waitress was kind enough to get us another piece of corn so only two of us had to split a piece. Listed on the menu for 49.99 then when the bill came it was magically 57.99. When asked the waitress she said the price change was due to COVID......... what?? There is a sticker on the menu that says prices subject to change. Waitress should have told us at the time of ordering that the price on the menu was incorrect. Came to Kathi's last year in the height of COVID and had no issues or menu changes. Needless to say won't be back, and not because of the great food, totally due to management and shady price changes. read more

This place is a super Gem! We stumbled on Kathi's Krab Shack as a detour to Fort Lauderdale coming back from dropping off our daughter at FSU. The low country boil and proprietary seasoning is to die for along with homemade Stone crab chowder. We were so stuffed just from sharing the single portion of low country boil but I would've loved to have tried the oyster stew. The owner (Tom) is the nicest guy on the planet. Very concerned about the quality of food he puts out and the service you receive. We are closet chefs and super foodies so believe me when I say this... It's amazing! We also do secret restaurant evaluations as a side business in South Florida. This little place takes the cake and the live music is fantastic! I've not posted a single review on yelp for any restaurant I've evaluated both professional and personal. You gotta go! It is worth the detour or a special trip for scallop season! Let's just say I learned what the "Po" in Shrimp PoBoy sandwich stands for at Kathi's Krab Shack. It stands for poor quality, poor amount of shrimp. Yeah you couldn't close my sandwich because half the salad bar was on my sandwich. The boy that made that sandwich had to been on a budget to make that sandwich. You could have given a Vegan a bite out of the sandwich I got and they would have thought it was the best lettuce, tomato, and mayo sandwich around. We were very disappointed that CDC Covid-19 guidelines were being ignored as none of the staff including servers and kitchen staff were wearing protective masks as we heard one kitchen staffer constantly coughing. The food did not live up to the hype as our crab sandwiches were very greasy. I would avoid this restaurant until this pandemic is over. read more

Great fresh seafood and the low country boil was amazing. We just finished a long weekend in Steinhatchee and this place was frequented by members in our party for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had them prepare a low country boil for 15 people for our Saturday dinner after scalloping. The king crab and the crawdads were as fresh as they get. You could crack a crab leg and pull all the meat out together. The breakfast was good but their fish, alligator bites and low country boil is where the magic happens!! Well worth the money. Try the crab cakes as well, heck, try everything, our group didn't have anything bad! read more

Amazing food. We ordered the oysters, snapper, flounder and shrimp. For appetizers we had fried green tomatoes, gator tail and fish dip and everything was fantastic.
