As each and every serving is made right in front of your eyes, it's fresh. That means that the flavour is everything it could be. As it's frozen in seconds, it's also very smooth. That means that there's a velvety texture and a creaminess that you won't find in the tub at the bottom of your freezer. The Science: The liquid nitrogen rapidly creates miniscule ice crystals, quickly evaporating after coming into contact with the ice cream base. Liquid nitrogen boils at -196C, meaning that there won't be a trace of it left by the time you've given yourself brain freeze. I think it's safe to say if Science lessons were this much fun (and edible) I would have left school with a completely different career path.

But because it's The Truth! They use the best ingredients, straight from manufacturers in Taiwan, which is where bubble tea originated from; everything certified by the EU and UK laws. Both Bubble Boba shops (Coventry & Cardiff) are an experience within themselves! From the really cool and fun decor, to the knowledgeable and friendly staff... I've never had a bad experience! Except maybe from the UK weather! The drink flavours are fun and unique, and many say taste "Just Like Home"! I've only been able to find Hokkaido Milk Tea in California, but Bubble Boba has it, along with Classic, Taro and other traditional flavours. It had a lovely cozy feel with plush velvet seating and charming small tables. The service was nice. The guy who took care of us was also manning the bar. He was busy, but made sure to take care of us well. The tea service was very good. We picked our tea from the list and had a pot steeping while our sandwiches and pastries were being made. The sandwiches and pastries were lovely. A proper afternoon tea in the UK!

My most favourite ice cream EVER!!!…read more Growing up in Swansea, Joes Ice cream was a Sunday (ice cream with nuts and chocolate)/ birthday (knickerbocker glory) treat. So when this branch opened up in Cardiff I had to give it a go and I have been a regular here since. The place is small and parking nearby can be tricky but persevere!!! One lick took me right back to being 7 years old again. The product is amazing (although weirdly the cartons you can buy in other shops aren't as good). Pure heaven!
