Delicious food with the kindest staff! We were welcomed immediately and the food is fresh and flavorful.

The food was utterly disgusting and was very bland, it had zero character. It advertised maple syrup but lacked real maple syrup, it was just an imitation. The waitress was uneducated and did not know the menu or what the items were. She was rude and made it so we could not enjoy our meal.

    Wonderful goods to go!

The food is amazing!!! The service was wonderfu!!! The decor is very nice, very calming and comfortabl. the restaurant was very clean. The pastry selection was excellent and delicious. I will be back soon!!

Great little place!! The restaurant was very clean, and the food simple and fresh! The staff was accommodating and friendly. I got the Irish Benny on tomato (I have a wheat allergy) with roasted potato. It was delish! The egg was poached perfectly, the corned beef hash nice and crispy! I highly recommend if you are in Kittery and want a great breakfast at a decent price!! Oh.. and the music was great!!!

11:40 Sunday morning. This place is half full. I assume the owner is polish looking at the menu. The decor seems to be all about trees. Kind of pricey for breakfast. Nothing to write home about.

My wife was visiting a friend near by and my brother in law recommended we go here for pizza…read more Well it was a good recommendation for many reasons. First one was that there is plenty of parking. And plenty of outdoor seating for when the weather allows that. When we first got in the hostess told me it would be about 10 minutes, but we were welcome to sit and look at the menu till they called us for the table. It was only a 5 minute wait and at first I was surprised we couldn't just be served at the large high table at the entrance where we were seated and waiting which looked like it was for several parties or even one large party, but even when we were leaving that table was empty so I guess they either save it for a very large party or just for people to sit at while they wait for their table like we did. Either way we didn't wait long so that didn't bother me as I thought it might at first. When we were seated, service was extremely fast, so fast that at first I thought they just want us out. :p but they are just that good. And our waitress brought me my soda without ice which many servers forget and would get me a refill before I was even done with the soda and even asked if we wanted water as soon as we sat and bright us some. When the food arrived (which as I mentioned was extremely fast even though the place was packed), everything was amazing. We started with shrimp and the Brie which were in the specials. Shrimp was fresh and you could really tell, and the Brie had a nice assortment of apple slices, almond slices, bread and cranberries making it feel like you were also having a healthy meal with your pizza and fried food :p. We had the truffle mushroom pizza and the only complaint my mother had was that it had onions and rocket which she didn't like on the pizza, but that was her fault for not reading it on the menu as we could have easily just asked for it not to have that. She just saw truffle, mushrooms and ricotta cheese and said im having that. Which was what I wanted too but I was ok with everything else too. Well we both enjoyed it and I even took the left over pizza to have for dinner later :). I don't live nearby, but it is a place I would recommend to others who go by there and when we come near here again I know where to go eat if I'm in the mood for pizza. The only complaint is that it was too loud for us, almost felt like a sports bar without the sports tvs playing everywhere, however they do have take out as well, so you do have that option too if you live nearby.

Plenty of lot parking so that's always a plus. We walked in on Friday for lunch and it was fairly full but we were seated quickly and orders taken. Very rustic ambience and service was quick. Unfortunately, the food was just ok and didn't knock my socks off. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, pork belly steam buns and the margherita pizza. Brussels were fried nicely but the ginger sesame sauce was very strong and I would probably preferred the sauce on the side. Pork belly buns were just ok as well. We were here for the pizza so were excited to try it - pizza unfortunately was just ok as well. Food is subjective and always based on preference so please take this review with a grain of salt - pizza was a bit doughier than I'd like - I prob should've asked for it to be well done if even possible and the sauce tasted heavy on the oregano - not something I'm a big fan of. All in all - not bad but not great. I just had such high expectations - maybe a different pizza might've changed my mind. But def don't skip out on going next door to try some samples and get some bread - the bread is amazingly delicious.

If you're with a bigger group, definitely get the family plate to try a little bit of everything. You get four large sides, half a chicken, jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. We got the Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, collard greens, and fries as a side. The Cole slaw was eh, but everything else was fantastic. And the meats of course are the stars of it all! But the mac and cheese? Oh wow that is so good. And the jalapeño cheddar cornbread is even better. Not dry at all--most yet crispy on the sides from the grill. But finishing it off with the German chocolate flourless cake is the best part at the end. So decadent... The service is always great when you go here. Every time I've been, I'm pleased with how fast everything is brought out. And it is always consistently delicious. It's crazy to think this is in Maine and not from somewhere known for BBQ. But I'm grateful it's close by!

Total: $140.93 with tax Included: Family Cookout $89.99 plus $3 add on, extra 1/4 rack ribs $12, two sweet teas $7.50, banana pudding $8, apple cobbler $9, ice cream $1 Price felt high at first, but we split it between two people and had leftovers for another day or two Food breakdown Sides * Coleslaw was not for me. Vinegar based and pretty underwhelming 2/10 * Collard greens were decent but a bit salty 8/10 * Mac and cheese was fine but I do not get the hype 6/10 * Potato salad was lite and pretty decent, could use more flavor 7/10 * Pickles were surprisingly good even though they were sweet 9/10 Meats * Brisket was not my favorite but I am learning I may just not be a brisket person 3/10 * Pulled pork was dry and nothing special 2/10 * Sausage I did not try but was said to be a little spicy 0/10 * Ribs were mixed 8/10 * Appetizer ribs felt like a lower quality cut and were not great * Ribs with the main meal were actually very good, just slightly salty * Chicken was one of the best items. Great flavor and crispy skin but slightly dry 8/10 Other food notes * Only one barbecue sauce option which was just okay * Banana pudding was decent * Apple cobbler was enjoyed but charging $1 for ice cream feels unnecessary * Sweet tea was good but not standout Service * This was the biggest downside * We ran out of paper towels and were told we had napkins and wipes instead of being given more * Never really checked on or asked if we needed anything * Felt a bit dismissive and put a damper on the experience Overall Good if you are splitting and want leftovers, but some items were hit or miss and service could be better. Must order items for ribs however today's ribs were pretty salty and the chicken adding the barbecue sauce on kinda hid the salt, but I shouldn't have to do that.

It even came garnished with a graham cracker, Hershey's chocolate, and Marshmallow. Gave it a fantastic stand out look. The taste was just as good and my wife loved her drink too! This quaint gastropub doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, this seems like a place where locals are regulars and tourists are happy to get a table at this "no reservations" joint. It's dark inside (no photos) and a little cramped. The bartenders are serving double duty mixing and pouring drinks while also playing DJ and spinning vinyl records. And it felt like everyone inside was exactly where they wanted to be at the moment...enjoying each other's company and sharing drinks and food. The menu is about the size you would expect from a small kitchen - a fair number of appetizer dishes meant for sharing, and a handful of entrees, ranging from casual to a bit more refined. The grilled cheese and tomato soup ($19) was made with a hearty artisan bread that hit the spot on a chilly evening. Similarly, the coq au vin ($26) was classic comfort food, with perfectly cooked smashed fingerling potatoes surrounded by a rich, decadent reduction sauce smothering meaty mushrooms and soft pearl onions. Note, the coq au vin did take a long time to prepare, so not the dish to order if you're in a hurry. A couple of not-too-sweet lemon ricotta donuts (with chocolate sauce) was a great way to end the meal.
