Tucker's Newington-- Newest of the Tucker's Restaurants here in New Hampshire. While they are definitely training a solid number of new employees here(second week open), many of the staff doing the training are some of the awesome Dover staff. My wife and I really enjoyed the cleaner design and looks of this location not that Dover is bad, they are just two different style buildings. They have their regular fall menu with some great fall special items. Our server Hannah is an 8 year veteran from Dover who has had multiple positions during her Tucker's employment. As always we truly appreciated everything about our visit to a Tucker's Restaurant. Great food, drinks and staff. read more

First time trying! We got there about 30 minutes before open, which was 7am, people were starting to lineup at the door but we waited in the car. They opened DIRECTLY at 7. We waited a few minutes to go in- the crew was friendly we got seated and waited on immediately, there was a family sat next to us that was extremely obnoxious and complained about the crisp of the hash brown several times, to their waitress, and the waitress handled it better than I ever would have lol. Aside from the obnoxious people that surrounded us, the ambiance was wonderful. It was giving clean, good music not too loud, friendly staff, we got checked on the perfect amount of times. diner vibes but also somewhat modern- we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering which was pretty impressive. I ordered the drop biscuit and sausage gravy, my sides being 2 poached eggs and I opted for house potatoes instead of the hashbrowns because unlike other folks, I'm aware that diner style hashbrowns can some times not be very crisp. I'm from the south originally and am a biscuit and gravy lover but have struggled to find a really GOOD biscuit & gravy in New England (I now live in Maine). And this was the main reason I wanted to try this place. They were really good! A "drop biscuit" IS different than a regular buttermilk style biscuit and I had never had them before in this context, but while it WAS different than what I was hoping for, it was delicious! Basically if you're expecting traditional biscuits and gravy, this isn't it BUT it is probably the closest I've had to that in New England and definitely worth trying if you're debating. The house potatoes were delicious and perfectly seasoned, and the poached egg was perfectly cooked! Zero complaints. Good prices too. My boyfriend and I got an app of maple bourbon bacon to share, it was good but the price of that was a little high to me. He enjoyed everything he ordered as well! 9.5/10 would recommend! Service was prompt . I ordered the pot roast burrito. Egg, cheese beef, mushroom crispy onions. It was very tasty and the whole wheat wrap was fresh. My friend ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon. The pancakes were huge and the side of bacon was 6 pieces of crispiness. The prices are typical . The place is spacious and not cramped. Also very clean. The menu had a bunch of different choices and I was reluctant to order a pot roast burrito but I am glad I did. I could only eat half because it was really big. I took the other half home for dinner. My friend took half of her pancakes home too. Overall this was a pleasant experience. read more

Tucker's is now open in Newington in the former IHOP next to Aldi. They operate several locations in New Hampshire including in Dover, Concord, Hooksett, Bedford, Merrimack, and New London. Tucker's is a very popular brunch restaurant serving breakfast (all day) and lunch (11am-2pm). The food served at Tuckers is excellent and the portions are generous. Gluten free items are also available. The interior of the restaurant is a modern looking eatery with hard wood flooring and light green painted walls and painted wood panel partitions. There are framed photos of printed art and photos. The dining room has booth and table seating. I've been to Tuckers many times for breakfast including annual holiday breakfasts with coworkers. On the weekends, Tuckers is usually very busy with long waits to be seated. I highly recommend getting to Tuckers early! I stopped in at the new Newington location for breakfast during opening week. There was no wait to be seated when I arrived here at 7:25 am on a Saturday. I started out with an ice water since I already had my coffee beforehand. I ordered the Apple Caramel French Toast ($14.30) and a side of House Potatoes ($4.05). The food came out quickly in 8 minutes after ordering. The main dish had 3 pieces of very soft baked apple caramel tea bread grilled in French toast batter, topped with grilled apples, powdered sugar, and whipped cream, served with pure NH maple syrup. The grilled house potatoes were brown and soft, lightly salted.. After I was done, the check was presentedwhich was $19.91 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food was pretty good and filling. I usually order omelets and skillets, but decided to get the apple French toast this time, which did not disappoint. The service was very friendly and attentive. Found several eggshells in my pancakes yesterday. Left most of my meal untouched because it was so gross. Our server cleared our table so quickly I didn't get to show her. Pancakes aren't overly expensive so that didn't matter to me so much. Just really disgusting to find so many huge eggshells in my food. read more

Delayed review...I was there a month ago. Food was excellent and the service was great. Love that their foods are sourced locally! Very hearty portions. I want to patronize them more! BUT the temperature in there was very uncomfortable....absolutely freezing! Would get comfortable while the heat was blowing (except for the cold floor and my toes) then as soon as the blower would stop, I and the other patrons would put their winter hats back on. Coats never came off. Granted, it has been a cold winter, but I don't dare go back until the we warms up. Please fix the heat! read more

Just when you've lost all hope in humanity. I recently took my granddaughter to brunch. She is disabled/autistic. The wait staff recognized the difficulties.
