We were in Dover for a wedding and wanted to get (a real) breakfast (as compared to the complimentary hotel breakfast - not knocking, but you know what I mean)... Enter Tucker's, which happened to be right across the street from the hotel. They are open from 7 AM to 2 PM, serving breakfast all day and lunch starting at 11 AM. It was a Friday morning, and they had a packed dining room but plenty of parking. We waited for maybe 5-10 minutes. There were five of us, and we were seated quickly in a nice big booth. (The booth was one of those bigger-sized ones that can fit three people on a side.) The decor was cute and the vibe was great. Our waitress was great right from the jump! She was very friendly and attentive. They have an extensive menu with a lot of options and fun twists. The food came out quickly, as described, and very delicious - plus the portions were a good size! We had some omelets, avocado toast, breakfast plates, and a benny! I would definitely recommend checking Tuckers out and personally would visit again if I am in the area! They had a lot of great choices! read more

We drive by Tucker's many times and say we should go. They are a breakfast, brunch, lunch place...close around 2:00. So plan. Parking is availalbe and if there is no parking, then they are packed! The inside is large and can accommodate small to larger groups. The menu is incredible for options. I wanted to have breakfast and was surprised by the size of the pancakes. I needed another plate just for that. ha ha I am also a coffee nerd and tend to find a reason for not liking businesses attempts on ice coffee. Many try to pour hot coffee over the ice and re-ice. Not sure how Tucker's does it, but it was yummy. We both enjoyed our meal and plan to bring friends when they visit this fall. read more

Worth. The. Wait! We waited about 30 min. This was our first time here. The dining room is big with high ceilings, it was a little loud but that's because it was a packed Sunday morning on a rainy day. I had the best breakfast that I've ever had in my life! We started with bacon cheddar biscuits- I've never had a starter/appetizer at breakfast, but I'm so glad we did because it was soooo good!! It came with maple cinnamon butter and was served as two biscuits-definitely shareable. My omelette was really good and cooked perfectly. I forgot to take a picture of my husband's food, but he had an omelette as well. He had home fries and a grilled English muffin and I had hashbrowns and rye toast. I had enough left over to make a second meal out of it, and I did. Next time we go, and there will definitely be a next time, I'm going to try the pancakes. read more

Always a great experience. I have well over 100 check-ins and have been a regular customer since they opened. Always a smiling and pleasant staff. I have never had a meal that was just "ok", very generous portions with unique flavors and combinations. They offer a great option of a call ahead waitlist. Add your name 30 minutes or less before arrival. Matty was my server today and was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Tried a new summer item The Tex Mex Bowl. Great flavors with a good balance. While Saturday mornings tend to get a bit loud at times, I found that today was pleasantly mid range noise. I ordered an omelet to go and waited for it while they made it. I didn't love the texture of the eggs and the taste was eh. I was a little disappointed that while waiting for our order I couldn't get a mug of coffee-only in a Togo cup and at the price of a large coffee youre better off getting one from Dunkin' Donuts. The toast was very good and easily the best part of the meal. The homefries were good but a little on the greasy side. read more

Today was the first time I tried a sandwich item at Tucker's, and it did not disappoint. The cranberry cape sandwich had perfectly crisp bacon and focaccia bun, and the cranberry aioli was scrumptious. The chicken breast was a little dry though. I upgraded to the chill mac, which was super comforting and yum, but it was a little absurd to me to see a $1.35 upcharge for a lil sprinkle of cheese, when the chili mac already cost almost 5 dollars more to upgrade from the usual sides. read more

Watch your bill! Tucker Time on the menu.. Offers pancakes with the waiter requesting your choice of blueberries, choc chips etc. Does not mention an upcharge for those add-ins, nor does it reference addl cost on the menu. Questioned the manager and she tried to fumble her way to an explanation...but there was none. Just another example of how restaurants, including the more expensive ones are scamming customers at every opportunity. I for one will not be patronizing this restaurant ever again! read more

I just love Tucker's and have been to all of their locations. It's nice to go to a place where you always know. It's going to be excellent with wonderful service and delicious food. I love that so much of it is locally sourced. Their coffee is so delicious and comes from a nearby town. I love that they have choices of roasts. You can really taste how fresh and local everything is - such good quality ingredients. This place was extremely busy on a Sunday morning, as expected. My food was a bit cold. THE COFFEE IS AMAZING. I really like Tucker's for the most part and have eaten breakfast here on several occasions. The food is solid, the service friendly. This is for the Tucker's in Dover. It's a large room with plenty of seating and I believe the booths offer COVID protection, something important to me and something I look for when dining out. It's generally an atmosphere I like being in. This morning I had the Smashed Avocado Bowl, Two local eggs scrambled over onions, peppers, tomatoes, and cheddar jack cheese over house potatoes. Topped with smashed avocado, hollandaise, house pickled red onions, and everything bagel seasoning. Served with grilled mini naan. It really was delicious, I must say. My only complaint here like everywhere else is the price of their coffee. Now, I will admit that I did get one refill and the cups are a good size. When I was finished my meal and he brought the check, I asked for a go cup of coffee. "OK, but that'll be an upcharge." I was like, what? I don't get that. If you are a server worth your salt, you would lean down to me and say but for you, no charge. That's what you do once you see the look of shock on the patrons face. I know this wasn't an unreasonable request because in that same week at a different restaurant, the server asked me if I wanted a go cup of coffee and of course I said yes. She knew how to work the tip because she was rewarded for it. Anyway, it's all not a good reason not to go back. Just know that you're going to get charged for your go cup of coffee, which probably costs them 20 cents. read more

The ceiling was dripping on me the entire time I was there. Not impressed. The food tasted amazing though, as always. I got the Hash and Cheese omelet, which is my most favorite item on the menu. Service was great, but a bit slow for the amount of people in the building. Overall, I recommend, but Tuckers, please look at your ceiling. read more

We loved this place! My partner and I took my aunt out for breakfast and this place was fantastic. It was really busy when we arrived, but we ended up not having to wait more than 10-15 minutes for a table. After getting seated, the service was great! Our server was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Despite it being so busy, it wasn't overly loud and we were able to have a great conversation. The food was very tasty; all three of us loved our meals. I believe I had the avocado bowl, I loved the mix of elements and flavors. Although it was getting to be toward closing time, our server didn't rush us so we could have some great catch up time. Definitely recommend! read more

My girlfriend and I's favorite breakfast/brunch spot in the area! Although a "chain" and having multiple locations across New Hampshire, the quality of ingredients really shines here. Here are some highlight items we have tried; The "Tucker Time" is a great meal if you want a little bit of everything. Quick tip -- get the pancake option and substitute for chocolate chip pancakes! Rating 9/10 Their Skillets section in general is very strong, but the "Harvest Skillet" in particular shines above the rest. The freshness of the sweet potato hash browns and sweet maple sausages are the star and make this a great choice. Rating 9.5/10 The Smashed Avocado Bowl is a great option delivering all the marks on freshness. The acidity of pickled onions pairs well with the creamy hollandaise. A quick tip -- substitute the grilled mini naan for a grilled English muffin! The naan is store bought, while their English muffins are definitely fresh and homemade. Rating 9/10 I'm sure there are many other strong options on their menu, and will follow up with another review once I get that opportunity. The biggest problem with Tucker's can be the wait. If you plan on going on the weekend be early or be prepared. Of course the reason that there is such a wait is great food for a good price. They recently changed the menu. Some items changed, prices went up; it was inevitable that would happen, and it still a good value. The service is generally very good. my wife and I just enjoyed free veteran day meals at Tuckers in Dover NH. both meals, including drinks were free. we could select anything off the menu. my wife is not a veteran but she was able to get a free meal also. the meal was full size, not skimpy and the staff was overwhelmed with support for veterans. The staff thanks veterans for their service and truly welcomed us. Most place that offer veterans a free meal are for the veteran only and you pick off a special menu and it doesn't include a drink Not Tuckers, they really support and appreciate veterans and their families. I recently started door dashing and only discovered Tuckers because I had to pick up an order this Saturday morning. I have my grandchildren every other weekend and I was excited to find this breakfast place so close to home. My grandbabies are the first people I thought of .... I couldn't wait to take them to Tuckers. I go in, again, first time here, to get my dash order and I approach the check in area. I let the gal know I'm here to pick up a door dash order. She tells me the pick up area is right over here... pointing to an area about 6 steps away. I go to that area and see what is probably my order ... behind a counter ... with no one in site. As I'm standing there , waitresses see me...but continue to avoid asking me if I'm being helped. They check on their customers ... talk to each other at the ordering station and still avoid me entirely. When I've had enough I go back to the girl at the check in area and let her know I've been pretty much ignored the entire time I stood there and I just need my dash order. She takes those 6 steps I took prior, and hands me my order from behind the counter. Needless to say... I won't be back... other than to pick up door dash orders. First impressions are everything. Customer service is everything. I know, because I've done it. None of these gals cared about a simple thing... and my experience definitely took my original excitement about discovering a breakfast place so close to home, to.... Nah....
