I wouldn't have these guys clean my gutters or windows if my life depended on it. First, they told…read moreme that I would have a 10 day window of time in which the work would be done on my house, but that I would get a call at least 24 hours beforehand to notify me of when they intended to come out. That didn't happen. They called me 30 mins before they were about to show up. I informed them that I wasn't home and the response was that as long as I had my sreeens off my windows, he could not only do the gutters, but also clean the windows. Only, during the sales call, I was told that they needed access to my house, so that they themselves could remove all screens. I informed the tech of this and he hemmed and hawed and said that no, they don't typically, but that he could help me remove them. I informed him that I was cancelling the windows because I don't have that kind of time on last minute notice. Then, the guy shows up at my house, gets his gear out and sets it up at my neighbor's house, unbeknownst to me. Then 20 mins later I see the guy racing away from my house. I'm like ok, that's odd, maybe he's getting a coffee or something. When he doesn't call me to tell me what's going on, I call him and he says, oh yeah, sorry man, gotta go help another tech who is having equipment problems. He also says, oh by th eway, my ladder is too short and I have to get a new one, and I'm going to knock out some other jobs and I'll come back to yours later. I was like, wow, I raced home to facilitate this and then you leave without saying a word. I asked him if he planned to call to notify me of this and he had no coherent response. So, I called customer service and the lady on there was a real b!t$h. She admitted the tech lied and that they do take the screens off. So, I told her that the liar tech isn't coming back to my house, that they needed to send someone else. She said she was on it. A few hours later another random guy called and said he was on his way. I said ok, great. 3 hours pass and he's not here. So I called him back and he said that a supervisor from Gutter Boys told him that a supervisor had to do the job and that he coudn't anymore. He also admitted that he was a subcontractor that doesn't even clean gutters for a living - he was an electrician and had only cleaned gutters a few times. I called to report this to that same b!t$h and told her I was cancelling both orders - she then hung up on me. These guys are unprofessional, liars and dumb as rocks.

They installed all new gutters on my house a couple of years ago and I wanted to add leaf guards, but nobody responds. I suspect they are either out of business OR they have the worst customer service of any gutter vendor! Definitely would NEVER recommend them (if they are still in business that is)!

I was absolutely convinced I had a major drainage design problem…read more My underground downspout lines drain to the street ditch, and after seeing water back up around a riser pipe, I was certain the issue was a site engineering flaw. In my mind, there were only a few possibilities: the lines needed to be re-pitched, the ditch connection needed to be lowered, or the whole system was somehow hydraulically inadequate. I had this drainage system installed just last fall, so the idea that it could already be clogged seemed impossible. Enter A+ Gutters & Drains. They came out the very same day I called. After I walked them through my highly sophisticated theory of grades, elevations, pitch, and drainage design, we headed to the discharge point at the street ditch. The technician took one look and smiled. "There really shouldn't be a glued-on end cap with a tight grill on it. These tend to back up and clog." "No way. Not already," I replied. "Would you like me to check?" he asked. A few minutes later, after attempting to pry it off with a screwdriver, the cap ultimately had to be cut off with a Sawzall. What was waiting inside? Inches of roof shingle granules, debris, and enough gunk to completely prove my engineering theory wrong. In about five minutes, A+ solved the mystery that I had mentally escalated into a full-scale drainage reconstruction project. To their credit, they graciously cut off the other problematic caps as well and explained why they were destined to clog. No upsell. No unnecessary work. Just an honest diagnosis and a simple fix. As I stood there processing the fact that my "catastrophic drainage failure" was really just a blocked outlet, the technician smiled and said, "Bring on the rain." And with that, he was off. Was my ego slightly bruised? Absolutely. Did A+ save me from chasing an expensive problem that didn't actually exist? Also absolutely. I only wish I had called them first. From now on, A+ Gutters & Drains will be my first call for anything related to gutters, drainage, or water management. Fast response, honest expertise, and a team willing to save customers from their own overthinking. That's a combination that's hard to beat.

PAYING FOR RESULTS, NOT IMAGE…read more Our basement was flooding and it was determined that we needed a new drain line in order for an our sump pump to work correctly. We had a few quotes. Some more than 5K for a 100 foot drain line. When I contacted A+ for an estimate, they beat the nearest estimate by almost $1500 dollars. That's a big savings. What's the difference? The other companies who bid the job showed up in fancy jumpsuits and vinyl laminate work vans with computers inside. The guys from A+ showed up in tshirts and a red station wagon. They were polite, worked very hard, and had the job completed in two days which is what I was estimated. They also showed up to start the job within 1 business days of OUPS flagging the utilities on our property before the dig. I would recommend A+ for anyone looking for quality work at a great price. I'm sure if I'd said it was urgent they'd have tried to come sooner. They came out a week or so after I called to check things out and give me a quote. That guy, Matt, and the later handyman were friendly and efficient. Then another few weeks till they came out. I got the disposal and they installed it, plus added a plug under the sink and fixed the wall switch. Took an hour or so. This is the only handyman our dogs haven't barked at when they got here, and never did. He said he has dogs, but sometimes ours go nuts no matter what, on just hearing or smelling a stranger. The roof took maybe half an hour. Again, professional and efficient. Prices seem a little high to me, but it's been awhile since I hired anyone so this may be the new normal. And I used to be able to do some of this stuff but can't now, so, I have to pay someone sometimes. Worth it to have it taken care of.
