In fact, I was very impressed, enough in fact, to write this review. Working with the finance manager Jenevieve Strommen was totally pain-free and totally professional. My experience in the past with finance managers has been somewhat less than satisfactory. I always got the feeling they felt they were doing me a favor. This is certainly not the case at Jim Vreeland Ford. I recommend that if you're looking for a new or used car or service on your current car do yourself a favor and try out Vreeland Ford. I had a very disappointing experience with this shop and would not recommend them based on what…read morehappened with my 4Runner. I brought my 4Runner in because the steering wheel was shaking. I had just purchased new tires about two months earlier and had them balanced, so I suspected the shocks were the issue. I specifically asked the shop to return my old FOX shocks to me so I could have them rebuilt. The shop took photos of what seemed like every part of my truck, which gave me the impression they were doing a very thorough inspection. They replaced the rear shocks first and returned my old rear FOX shocks. After replacing the rear shocks, the shaking actually improved. When they replaced the front shocks, however, the problem became significantly worse. Throughout the day, they were texting me saying the truck was doing amazing and would be ready early. When I finally picked it up, I was told that it was normal for the truck to pull slightly to the right because of the new shocks, even though they had supposedly performed an alignment. After leaving the shop, the truck was pulling HARD to the right and the steering wheel was shaking worse than it had before I brought it in. The entire job cost me nearly $5,000, and the original problem was not only still there--it was worse. On top of that, they did not return my front FOX shocks, even though I specifically requested that all of my old shocks be returned so I could rebuild them. When I called about putting my old shocks back on and getting a refund because the problem had gotten worse, I was instead told that I needed to buy new tires. Again, these tires were only about two months old and had already been balanced. I left feeling like I paid nearly $5,000 and ended up with a truck that drove worse than when I brought it in, while also not receiving parts that I specifically asked to have returned. The amount of photos and the appearance of a thorough inspection initially gave me confidence, but based on my experience, that did not translate into good service or a properly diagnosed problem. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and documenting everything before spending thousands of dollars here. My experience left me feeling extremely frustrated and taken advantage of. Also talking to the person in charge made me not want me to take it back.

They diagnosed the issue as a sensor or similar component, replaced it, and the bill was around $350. I assumed the overheating problem had been properly diagnosed and resolved. Not long afterward, I took the vehicle on a road trip out of town and it overheated again, leaving me stranded. After getting it looked at elsewhere, I was told the vehicle had cracked heads. Being out of town without a nearby machine shop made getting the vehicle--and myself--back home quite an ordeal. Obviously, mechanical problems can sometimes be difficult to diagnose, and I'm not a mechanic. But when a vehicle comes in specifically for overheating, I would have expected more extensive diagnostics, such as a compression or similar test, to rule out a serious engine problem before replacing a sensor and sending it back out. Had the underlying problem been caught initially, it could have saved me from getting stranded out of town and a whole lot of hassle. Based on my experience, I was disappointed with the diagnosis and wouldn't feel confident bringing a vehicle here again for a significant mechanical issue.

In the beginning, I was a little annoyed with the fact that it was going to take so long, but once we my service rep went through all that was repaired, I felt better. No soap came out of the sprayer when selected. When I tried wax, it just shut off all together. The vacuums are in similar shape. Only two questionably work. It doesn't tell you how long you get for the price. But it is not very long at all. The only reason I have three stars is because the attendants for the drive through compensating me with a free drive-thru wash after the disaster in the pressure wash bay. They need to just shut down the rest of this place if they aren't going to fix it. I like to do business local. But this place has gotten gradually worse for several years.
