Steve, Pat, and Ollie, were all part of making what is usually a financial and logistical nuisance, a warm and fun experience. I'll remember those years with fondness. Hardy's Auto Body is a small shop out of Rowley run by Fred Hardy. Fred and his son Bryce…read morespecialize in auto body work and custom body builds. I brought my Mazda Miata to Fred and Bryce to have some major body work addressed. The front driver's side portion of the frame had a large hole in it, and the rocker quarters and fender wells were virtually disintegrated with rust. Fred was very knowledgeable while explaining what would need to be done to fix the vehicle, and walked me through everything he would do to get my car restored. Fred and Bryce were overbooked with jobs at the time, but managed to fit me in about a month later in between jobs. Fred called me the first day the car was in the shop, and wanted me to come down to check out the progress. He pointed out all the rust that him and Bryce cut out, and showed me where they would be welding on new metal. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the job, and even more so impressed with the fact that they wanted me to see the progress of the vehicle. Most shops don't even want you to see what is going in inside the shop, and can be very reluctant to explain what needs to be done to repair vehicles in full. Not these guys. I was very impressed when I went to pick up my car. Fred and Bryce went above the call of duty and completely buffed out the entire vehicle so as to have one matching paint coat. The spots where new metal was welded looked great and I could honestly not tell the difference between the repair spots and the rest of the car. Fred charged a very reasonable amount for the work done, and explained he was happy to restore the whole car as he takes pride in his work. I will not hesitate going back to Hardy's Auto Body again if I need auto body work done on any of my vehicles. If you are looking for superb service from people who take great pride in their work, look for further than Hardy's Auto Body.

The part would normally cost about $80 at Napa, and it's a 10 minute job at best. I realize they need to make a profit, but come on - - - $700!?!? So much for the affordable and reliable service I used to get at New Meadows. They'll never see any of my 4 cars again! I miss Joe already...
