We had Robert A. do reverse boarding in our home with our dog Snacks for two weeks while we were out of town for our wedding. We came back to a transformed dog! Snacks is a 75 lb, 1.5 year old black lab, with a ton of natural energy that we rescued from a home of neglect. There was a ton of work needed on his level of reactivity and excitement and Rob handled the challenge better than we could have anticipated. Snacks has improved dramatically on leash, is learning to be passive about his environment (he gets very excited around other dogs), and listening to us for the first time. Rob went above and beyond to keep us connected during our time away, sharing progress videos and pictures every day. When we returned, Rob made sure we had plenty of time to go over all of the new things we needed to learn. He explained leash handling, gave us tips and tricks to help keep Snacks engaged, and gave us resources to refer to after his training was over. Rob even helped us find a new harness that was a much safer alternative for our big boy who pulls a lot. We cannot recommend Rob highly enough. Snacks was the least stressful part of our time a way for the wedding, and that's the best gift we could have asked for. read more

We have been working with Rob Adams from Karma these last few weeks to help us further train our new Doberman puppy. We were referred to Rob as we noticed that our pup was getting easily riled up and acting out and wanted to get help to correct it before it became habit. We originally learned a lot of the commands and basic training through Karma's puppy kindergarten program (Shoutout to Emily, Saidee, and Tawni at the Chattsworth class!) as well as a few personal training sessions with Kate H. who was also very helpful when we first got her. Recently, we have learned a lot from Rob about how to really work through her acting out and becoming an overall better trained puppy. He is extremely knowledgeable and very patient (with both parents and pup!). Our sessions together are a really great way to focus on our dogs own needs and let's us really come up with a specific training plan for our pup. We take his advice and incorporate it into our daily routine and have seen a great improvement in our dog and look forward to seeing even more progress as we continue training. I adopted my pit/lab mix dog, Luna, a little a month ago and had been training her with Rob Adams from Karma Dog ever since. Karma dog Training is great. We got two Scottie pups (notoriously hard to train) July of last year and I was overwhelmed. I knew we needed a ton of support and help; we opted to get the private training during the week and puppy kindergarten on the weekends. Rob Adams was our private teacher (I think I cried when I first met him, no sleep and seriously puppy stressed out). He took it all in stride, the crazy puppies, and me, he reworked his schedule so I could go back to work and not worry. He worked with us on everything, (come, sit, potty training, karate training etc.) He was a calming, positive, helpful force, for the whole house. On weekends we would go to puppy kindergarten with Khalani B, and the dogs would look like rock stars because of the training being done during the week, we on the other hand needed her help. Now when we leave for VACA we always ask for Rob or Khalani to come and do some refresher work with the (now teenager) Scotties, who literally adore them. Rob Adams has been a great trainer for our dog Josie. She's a weimaraner so in short, she's a handful. He's helped us with her guardiness -- where now she's pretty reliable when we say drop it - she drops whatever she's picked up, ability to handle a lot of distraction -- we do exercises at Venice Beach so she's becoming less reactive to stimuli and overall good behavior so that we can start the process of canine good citizenship testing (our goal for next quarter). We truly appreciate Rob's dedication to getting our Josie to the level of obedience and balance that she's at and she truly loves Rob as well (she's always super excited to see him when its RBT day).
