My husband gave me a Bichon as a BD gift. She was a 7 week old beautiful, fluffy white ball of fur! A very sweet, high energy, peeing, pooping machine! We also have a 9 year old, 60 lb Blue Heeler/husky mix. A very well manered, calm, self sufficient family member! My child is grown and I am to old for a baby! I was clueless about dog training! I knew I needed HELP! I called Jeff at Karma Dog Training and he put me in touch with Samantha Elkins. She was a godsend! We did a few one on one in home training sessions. It's as much about training the parent as it is the dog! I could already see a big difference in Maddie and I both! We choose the Reverse Board & Train because we were leaving on a trip. Samantha came to our house to house sit and dog sit/train Maddie while we were away. Samantha worked on potty training and the "7 Request for Sucess". She was awesome! I couldn't believe the difference and how much Maddie had learned in such a short period! Samantha is a wonderful, caring and knowledgable pet trainer! I've had dogs for an easy 30 years and can honestly say Karma Dog Training is hands down the best I've ever experienced. I've never attended a class that's 100% positive reinforcement and they definitely love up to that. In the past I attended classes then modified their methods to eventually come up with a dog that's well rounded, yet not 100% especially on stay. Then, with my next dog I'd try a new trainer hoping to find that one who could do it all. Karma dog training is exactly that. I started my puppy at about 10-12 weeks. She was terrified of the other dogs. By the end of the first session the trainer had Allie joining the other dogs then returning to her "safe spot". After the second session she played with no hesitation. EVERY method taught at Karma Dog Training worked! I have every confidence Allie will qualify completely as a therapy dog. Another thing different about Karma dog training is you can miss classes without losing the opportunity for that lesson. Karma dog training is set up such that you finish after completing ALL SEVEN lessons. If you miss one you simply wait for it to come around again and attend. PS: The owner is fabulous to work with! This review is long over do! I hired Karma Dog to help me with my dog Bella. She would get so amped up when people would come over and jump on our guests. It would take her hours to calm down and she just needed help settling on her own. She was also counter surfing in my kitchen and one of those times landed her in the vet over an entire biscuit....no chewing! Very scary! So that was when we called Sam to come help bring some order back in our home. Sam took the time to prep us for the first visit and what to expect along with what kind of training she does. She was so easy to work with and very knowledgeable. My roommate and I adore her! Bella loves her probably more than we do! We are on our 3rd session and Bella is learning to calm down and go to her bed for a toy or bone instead of jumping. I can proudly say she does not counter surf anymore which was my biggest concern after the biscuit incident. I couldn't be more happier with our results. The best part is, it's all positive based reinforcement. I did not want someone scaring my dog into doing things. She was great and her methods are gentle and effective. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her! I felt like we learned more with Katie in 3 sessions than we did in 3 months of doing it on our own. She was so nice, so courteous, so warm and answered every single one of our questions. She showed us so many key ways to teach her and continues to answer questions for us through email and follow up phone calls. Fantastic experience! We have also attended and completed the 7-week Puppy Kindergarten series and absolutely loved it. Our trainer, Beth, was just as wonderful and created a warm and friendly environment for all the puppies. The socialization is crucial as pups must be well socialized, but we learned so much more than just basic obedience requests. We rescued our dog "Kenai" from the shelter a few months ago. While she was great with us, she is afraid and reactive to almost everything else. We knew some basic training principles, but had no idea how to rehabilitate a reactive dog. Through Karma Dog Training we were connected with Emily W. and through a few sessions with her and lots of homework, Kenai is making improvements. We recently went out of town and left Kenai alone for the first time. Emily guided us through a training session with the pet sitters and reassured us she was a call or short drive away if Kenai had a meltdown. Before we met Emily I wasn't sure how we were going to leave Kenai as boarding wasn't an option with her reactivity to other dogs and people. The peace of mind and excellent training Emily provided us and the pet sitters was incredible. Sammi helped us with reverse boarding, which is when the training is done inside your home. Sammi is incredibly professional, hyper dedicated and persistent with her approach to training. She is VERY good with animals and has a phenomenal ability in understanding not only the issues, but more importantly, getting a sense of the type of underlying problems that your dog has. We had her come and train our puppy and before and after it was like night and day. We had a good puppy, but he wasnt well trained and after just 5 days of reverse boarding, there was substantial improvement. She taught our puppy to come, not jump on counters, not jump on people, drop stuff without his mouth, loose leash walking, and just overall positive mannerisms. We had spent a TON of time looking for trainers and she has not only been the best but far exceeded our expectations read more

We recently rescued a Bluetick hound from a group that found him in a kill shelter. Needless to say, our sweet man had a lot of abandonment issues and anxiety. Emily is easy to get an appointment with and she is so friendly. Jackson had his first appointment last Tuesday and already my little man is doing so much better! He has shaken a majority of his anxiety and he's going "nite nite" all by himself in his own bed. As I previously stated, Jackie has anxiety issues and he's not very trusting with anyone - but by the time Emily left Tuesday afternoon, Jack was her new best friend! My husband discovered Karma Dog after months and months of trying to get our beloved doberman and toddler socialized correctly through other trainers. We had already started the process of re-homing our dog but thought it best to continue to try and work with him while he was still under our roof. I was more than skeptical going into this "all reward" based process. However, after only 1 session with Allyson and a week or so of us continuing to work on the program, the change in our dog has been nothing less than remarkable!! We adopted our rescue dog Mia in June and quickly knew we needed assistance. We found Karma Dog and our wonderful trainer Sammi and couldn't be more pleased with the results. We started with the group class which helped us determine Mia's comfort around other dogs in a safe, monitored setting. I've been with Karma for 6 months now. My very large Goldendoodle has now moved on to Service Training with Allyson. I really feel that I am not exaggerating when I say Allyson is THE BEST!!! Allyson contacted me months before I found Oliver and checked in with me periodically. She gave advice on breeds. And now that we are training with her Oliver responds wonderfully to her, in fact he goes crazy when he sees her. I stand amazed sometimes when I watch her teach him. After one session with out dog trainer Roseanna my rescue pup's anxiety showed some great improvement. Roseanna gave us some very basic skills to use with Ellie and we started seeing some immediate results. She has also learned to sit, come and down. Roseanna was a wealth of knowledge about dogs and so supportive as I tried to figure out how to manage my first solo dog! Ellie and are so excited to continue training with Karma. Sam is awesome! She really has gone above and beyond to help us with our 3 month old Sheepadoodle. We have gone to the puppy kindergarten class and also had in home private training as well. She has been very patient in working with my 9 yr old daughter to teach her how to handle a jumping, biting/nipping, playful puppy. We have Sammi as our trainer she has help us improve the resource aggressive behavior of our 5 year old husky, make her come when called and help with the anxiety of our 4 year old pit bull.
