My husband and I just wrapped up our 2nd trip with Karma camper vans.. it always feels like the trip of a lifetime. We have traveled all over the world, but the memories we made driving and camping through the Canadian Rocky Mountains truly stand out above them all. I try to go with the flow, but at times I can be a little bit high maintenance for tent camping.. the camper van experience blew my mind and made it so that I could experience so many things that I would have otherwise been too uncomfortable to experience. The van set up is perfect for 2. We always get a cozy, warm nights sleep and it takes no time at all for the place to really feel like our home. Preparing for the trip is so easy. The van is fully equipped with everything that we need.. the only things we pack are groceries and clothes suitable for unexpected weather. We have so much fun cooking all of our meals right out of the van and keeping up with clean up is always easy. We plan to make this an annual trip for us.. I think about it often throughout the year and really crave that connection to nature. We always come home feeling reconnected to each other and absolutely blown away trying to comprehend the incredible places we saw, experiences we had, and memories that we made. We love karma camper vans.. I hope that everyone has the chance to experience the world like this. We can't wait for next year's trip! (Also, if you're renting from the Calgary location.. My husband and I rented a Karma Campervan recently for a mini 3-day getaway. Everything was as advertised. The camper was ultra clean and ready for pick up when we arrived. The van is equipped with almost everything you will need to "glamp". As a former tent camper, I can barely wipe the smile off my face with how easy it was to pull up and start having fun without the dreaded "set-up" frenzy. The van is easy to drive and easy to park...whether it be a campsite or even the side of the road. Even small campsites only meant for tents accommodate the campervan..and you have battery power for lights, charging phones/computers and washing dishes in a real sink! We didn't get the fridge add on but if you are going somewhere remote without access to ice I would recommend. Couple of things I would add to the provided inventory: A tarp or shelter for eating outside if it rains or lots of bugs First Aid Kit An axe to cut wood for campfire An extra fry pan and tools designed to cook over campfire (if you are planning on doing this their inventory wouldn't be suitable for cooking over campfire only for Coleman stove) Table Cloth (plastic) for the picnic table Extra Propane for Coleman Stove Hand Soap to put at the kitchen sink Extra garbage/recycle bags and maybe a small garbage can for outside use. We had a great experience with Karma Camper Vans with nothing but good things to say. The van was very clean and came with all the the things you need from bedding, camp stove, kitchen stuff, to snow shovel (winter setup). Nice finishing touch was the complementary coffee from a local roaster! We also ended up with a really good rate, booking last minute (always nice). Everything was as as advertised and communicated by email, so no surprises. The contactless pick-up and drop-off is super easy and convenient which was great for us as we had to pick-up and drop-off after hours. Just make sure to take plenty of pics/vids at both pick-up and drop-off. The van was super easy to drive, had plenty of power, and was much quieter than expected; no rattling of cabinets or kitchenware. The layout works very well and allows for plenty of space for two people to move around without feeling cramped. The bed is super comfy with a great mattress (not one of those 2" foam thingies). The heater is well positioned keeping the whole unit warm; perfect for camping in the colder seasons. The heater runs off the fuel tank but it seems to use very little fuel so no concerns there. All in all, we had a great weekend and we highly recommend Karma Camper Vans! read more

Easy peezy, no worries. I could not think of a better way to explore Banff, Jasper, and British Columbia. My son and I spent a week in this well thought out and easy to use campervan. Never in want of anything. They even had a coffee scooper! Well equipped and comfy base camp at night, and a perfect no worries go anywhere vehicle during the day. Used the provided table for breakfast in the mornings and the chairs to sit around our campfire. The bed was comfy and cabin space was more than enough to stake out your own spot if needed. Plenty of storage. We reserved campsites for our trip and I would recommend that method to ensure a secure and convenient place to stay overnight. Loved the feeling that we could go anywhere, anytime. I would recommend buying extra daily mileage, as there is lots to explore. I can't recommend Karma Campervans enough! We rented a van for six days while visiting Banff and I couldn't imagine exploring Canada any other way. Being able to be full mobile and go wherever we want was ideal for an adventure filled trip. The van had literally everything we needed especially since we were traveling in by flight from the states. We also opted to add on the portable toilet and I that was well worth it! We ended up buying groceries and eating most breakfast and lunch on the road in the van and then splurging on nice dinners out though one night we made dinner at a campsite as well. The bed was also super comfortable and we had plenty of storage for our suitcases and personal items. There is literally not one thing I would complain about or change in the van. The staff was also super helpful and easy to communicate with. Don't travel to Banff any other way! read more

Karma campervans are the perfect size for a week's trip. They have the portability of a tent without the discomfort. The heater is great for chilly nights and the Queen sized bed is amazing, I forgot I wasn't in a hotel room most nights! We had the best equipped campervan of any that we passed. The little kitchenette is not as flexible as a full-size RV, but the campervan is well stocked for such a small size. My boyfriend found the van easier to drive than his car, with great handling, acceleration, and a quality back-up camera. The height of the van did cause some tense moments when we had to determine if we would fit under some shorter structures, but out in the country it was great. We opted for the optional portable toilet and would pay a little extra for the optional camping shower next time. read more

Had the best pandemic-friendly vacation with our Karma campervan! Rented from the Vancouver location (with a discounted price because it was pre-summer season) for 7 days and the turnkey service made it so easy to just enjoy our holiday. No-contact pickup was easy. The van was fully stocked with everything we needed - water tanks, propane stove, all kitchen and cleaning supplies, nice bed, camp chairs, and so much room for storage. The van ran reliably and the heater worked well on a few chilly nights. The battery charges when you drive and from a solar panel on the roof. Didn't have any issues with it holding a charge. Highly recommend spending a bit of extra time positioning the van when you arrive at your campsite for the optimal view from bed out of the rear windows! read more

What can I say absolutely amazing company. We are so glad we booked with Karma they really were the sole reason our trip to Alberta was amazing. The van is great to drive very fuel efficient and we just loved the fact you can just park in the lookout areas open the rear doors and enjoy the amazing views. For those looking to rent with them don't hold back it's so worth the experience and the cost actually came out to be the cheapest after all my research. The beds are super comfy there is so much storage space and the kitchen is just amazing. We were constantly approached by fellow travellers that loved the van and had so many questions about renting. The photo pretty much says it all. This stylish camper was our portal to paradise. A lifelong camper, I was willing to deal with bugs, rain, rocky floors, paper thin thermarests, cramped quarters, forest toilets, and a host of other discomforts just for the glory of sleeping in beautiful natural places. So, the luxuries that this sweet vehicle provided were a heavenly treat. Memory foam queen mattress, cozy duvet and pillows, double-burner stove, 5-gallon sink, full kitchen supplies, huge countertops for gourmet cooking, 7-foot ceilings, fans, heaters, curtains, live-edge wood shelving, and even art on the walls, all made for a trip we'd only dreamed about before but will now repeat many times! read more

Amazing. I would highly recommend Karma to anyone. Our Van was perfect for us (my fiance and I). Everything in the van worked perfectly, and the bed was more comfortable than my own bed at home. The van was also very easy to drive, allowing us to back into somewhat tight areas. My favourite part of renting from Karma is the seamless pickup and drop off (we never saw or spoke to any representative, just typed in our code, got the keys and hit the road). We rented a van for a trip to Revelstoke and had a blast. The van was very clean and ready for pick up. Things went without a hitch. Dave and Candice are very responsive to email questions. We were newbies to the campervan thing and I was nervous that the bed would be uncomfortable, but it was really great. The dishes were all clean and stocked and everything was in working order. We used a campground for most of the nights and boondocked on the last one which was an experience. We were nervous about the battery lasting all night, but there was no problem at all. We picked up our Karma Campervan in Vancouver and made our way through BC and AB before making our way home through the Kootenays. Along with our golden retriever we lived in the van for 10 days and it was the perfect home on wheels. With clean running water, a spacious and comfortable bed and plenty of storage, we felt we could go off grid when we wanted. I was a bit nervous about driving such a large vehicle but after a few minutes it felt like driving a sedan with plenty of power to get through the Rockies. Had such a blast with our rental. It was a perfect time for an epic Rocky Mountain road-trip due to travel restrictions with COVID. We rented the van for 2 weeks end of August, beginning of September. Perfect timing. The experience was amazing. Big enough to feel not feel cramped, but small enough for a regular driver to operate. Any questions we had, staff responded quickly. Great customer service. Would recommend adding the fridge and potty, unless you like roughing it. Also bring extra bedding if you get cold. I discovered Karma Campervans through a social media post describing their COVID-19 Front Line Rental Program for medical staff, nurses, and other front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Program was a perfect fit, allowing me the option of self-isolation from my family while continuing to work full-time as a nurse in our local hospital. I have been to 40 countries, traveled in all kinds of different vehicles, boats, planes, trains etc. This Van, exploring the Canadian Rockies in this van was my BEST TRIP! Everything you could need or want is in there. Not only that, its adorable and functional. The bed was so cozy, the windows were wide and huge to allow maximum views of Banff. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this van! It had everything I needed to do the kind of exploring I'd hoped to do in the Alberta parks. The design is very well thought out and there was SO much obvious attention to detail. And on top of that, the van was clean and functionally super reliable. Another fantastic trip with the Karma Campervan. Cannot recommend highly enough - with one note. Please check all the 'workings' and gear provided to ensure it works and is in good condition so you are not dinged for damage. We had a fuse blown at start of trip that could not be replaced given where we drove but muddled through. And water pump never quite worked well even though super handy van 'husband'. Karma was very responsive but could not physically help given distance away. read more
