They discounted some of the cost based on that and added a few additions to what I was going to do originally. They for sure helped me fix some of the build designs around my house and taught me about new concepts. While I don't have any before and after photos I can't recommend them enough for their communication and quality of work.

We had work done in our yard and Joel has cancel over 10 times and now yet to finish what was promised. Plainfield resident. STAY AWAY. Simply dropped the ball and walked out of the project, THERE are still unfinished items. Main task I hired them for, was to do level stone paver and patching of my entire front and back yard and weed control. Now, after two months, the property is full of weeds; bumps and dips throughout, mulch was put in which prevented weed from growing, now seeds grown in unwanted flower beds!!!, This job would take a professional company a few days at least between prepping and cleanup work before even starting to lay soil and compact it in those bumpy areas. They demanded that I pay in cash and they will come next day to finish the job! Next day Gerardo the owner shows up demanding the payment. It has been a real nightmare with lots of back and forth and blaming mother nature for their mistake. Not there are grass seeds started sprouting over flower beds and weed where the grass should be growing!! What a waste of money, time and energy. I feel deceived and robbed my hard-earned money!! I typically don't complain but JOEL is full if it and very unprofessional! This job is cost way too much, and JOEL "BS" is unreal. Next step to inform the IRS about his busy dealing.

They're officially our go-to company for tree care!

Accepted their offer, never got communication on when they were coming, some guys just showed up one day and started the spring cleanup. About halfway done, they told me it was going to be twice the cleanup and almost twice the mulch needed to complete the job, and the entire job would be 35% higher than they originally estimated. I didn't enjoy being given one price, then being given a higher price once the work started. I ended up letting another company do the mulch installation and edging. They did a good job with the spring cleanup, but ended up paying 55% more for the spring cleanup than what I was originally quoted. I gave them the opportunity to finish the job if they matched their competitors price, but they couldn't do it.

From the first estimate to ongoing service, the owner demonstrates outstanding communication, thoughtful planning, and reliable follow-through. They return calls and emails promptly, provide clear, itemized proposals and timelines, and stick to what they promise, which in the landscaping business is worth its weight in gold. The owner plans every job with a clear scope, communicates what will happen and when, and follows up afterward to make sure we were satisfied. On multiple occasions they proactively suggested small changes that made a noticeable difference and did not add unnecessary cost. The company is punctual, respectful of the property, and leaves the site cleaner than they found it. If you want a residential landscape team that combines skilled, hands-on maintenance with excellent customer service and thoughtful long-term planning, I wholeheartedly recommend Groundskeeper General. Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented!

I used Rick's Landscaping for thatch removal many years ago (did an excellent job) and called Rick's to sign a contract for late in the season this year. After the first mowing I was amazed at how much better my lawn looked than after I had done it because Rick's Landscaping cut my lawn at the correct height. Then, areas were trimmed and the sidewalks and driveway (even my patio!) was cleaned with the blower. My lawns never looked this good! Although I do enjoy mowing my own lawn, it will not be easy to return to the low quality of mowing that I do after the high quality lawn care Rick's Landscaping does. I am willing to pay for reliability, honesty and lawn "care" and Rick's Landscaping gives me exactly that. I am grateful Rick's is in business in Bolingbrook.
