They are a family business that works together to get the job done fast. I need to get work done on the lawn of my house, however I had already done quite a bit of the tilling that would have been required. They discounted some of the cost based on that and added a few additions to what I was going to do originally. They for sure helped me fix some of the build designs around my house and taught me about new concepts. While I don't have any before and after photos I can't recommend them enough for their communication and quality of work. read more

They did a great job mowing our lawn and their prices are reasonable. I'll be using them for other services as well.

Not sure why anyone would recommend this business or individual. Our mistake, and JOEL is full of it. We had work done in our yard and Joel has cancel over 10 times and now yet to finish what was promised. Plainfield resident. STAY AWAY. Simply dropped the ball and walked out of the project, THERE are still unfinished items. Main task I hired them for, was to do level stone paver and patching of my entire front and back yard and weed control. Now, after two months, the property is full of weeds; bumps and dips throughout, mulch was put in which prevented weed from growing, now seeds grown in unwanted flower beds!!!, This job would take a professional company a few days at least between prepping and cleanup work before even starting to lay soil and compact it in those bumpy areas. They demanded that I pay in cash and they will come next day to finish the job! Next day Gerardo the owner shows up demanding the payment. It has been a real nightmare with lots of back and forth and blaming mother nature for their mistake. Not there are grass seeds started sprouting over flower beds and weed where the grass should be growing!! What a waste of money, time and energy. I feel deceived and robbed my hard-earned money!! I typically don't complain but JOEL is full if it and very unprofessional! This job is cost way too much, and JOEL "BS" is unreal. Next step to inform the IRS about his busy dealing. read more

One of the best in the area! Joel is very professional, friendly, and delivers exactly what you are looking for. Excellent experience, highly recommend! read more

Update to no response from this business to incomplete work at my home. Joel professionalism is not existence and real disappointment (tag as a loser) with no shows at my home, excuse after excuse after excuse. read more

Very happy with Chimy's. Good, friendly communications and we went back and forth several times to get a clear picture of what we wanted. They came in with the lowest estimate, and even threw in extra work like rebuilding a cinderblock walkway wide enough for a wheelchair -- all for the same money. Really good to work with and zero pressure. They earned our future business. read more

STAY AWAY. Simply dropped the ball and walked out of the project, where THERE are still unfinished items. Main task I hired them for, was to do leveling and patching of my entire front and back yard and weed control. Now, after two months, the property is full of weeds; bumps and dips throughout, clay like soil was put in which prevented grass to grow, seeds grown in unwanted flower beds!!!, a job would take a professional company a few days at least between prepping and cleanup work before even starting to lay soil and compact it in those bumpy areas. They demanded that I pay half $4500 and they will come next day to finish the job! Next day Gerardo the owner shows up demanding the second half ( which I have paid less the remaining $300 ) !!! It has been a a real nightmare with lots of back and forth and blaming me for their mistake (not watering enough where it have been raining like crazy for the entire week ) seeds started sprouting over flower beds!! What a waste of money, time and energy. I feel deceived and robbed my hard earned money!! I contacted them a few times and they demanded money paid ($300) before addressing their mistakes - very typical and unprofessional! Opened dispute with Yelp. Luckily I got half of the paid amount from yelp after a whole month of stressful e-mails, photos, documentation... Edit: replying to company's response: I asked for the sod after the owner Gerardo suggested areas around the patio where dead spots were and muddy soil forming. Plus all labor and material shouldn't cost $5000 sod would have been cents on dollar!!! You are quick to reply on Yelp but slow to finish the job. You kept saying you ran out of materials. The main task to level and fill dips was never finished , you came and sprayed weed in less than 5 minutes and you called that weed control...Still waiting on final invoice where many professional companies present before starting the job. Lesson learned to be more careful and be so trusting! So sad to see how dishonest companies especially landscaping are ripping people off like this and they are quick to blame clients for their shortcomings and screwups . Who would put a clay soil and throw seeds and without compacting the soil and expect seeds to grow!? And when I suggested a roller Joel asked me to borrow one from the neighbor , really!!! This is your 25 years of experience?! Why I hired you then?! read more

Gerardo, Joel and the team were amazing. I called them for tree trimming and they were so fast! It was amazing watching them take down giant tree branches and COMPLETELY missing the house. They also offered to dig up some roots that were going towards the house and remove a giant weed/tree. These guys were worth every penny. So courteous and fun to talk to also! Highly recommend and we will have them back for more work. read more

Was the first business to follow up with my request. Able to do the lawn cutting as we requested for both houses. Pretty reasonable with pricing. read more

They were on time and did a great job. They answered all my questions snd I'm happy I used Chimy's service.

Joel & his partner did a great job. They worked hard to remove all weeds, trim some bushes, and provide new mulch to areas that needed it. Now that we've had several rains, mulch has settled. I just wish I would have directed several more yards of mulch to be brought in. That's on me , though. Definitely recommend their work and Chimy's is worth contracting with. read more

Joel came out to my house and took the time in listening to my asks, while providing additional insights. Joel and crew installed a boarder along the inside of fence, updated landscaping with brick pavers along deck. This addition has our back yard looking more vibrant and also stopping our dogs from digging. They fixed the front as well after having dug up last fall due to sewer issues. They planted over 20 plants and placed rock down. The crew was fast, efficient, talking over questions with you and cleaned everything up. The pricing was very fair, and I would recommend Chimy's for your next landscaping job. read more

Chimes did an excellent job on our yard! They worked very fast and we're very professional! There prices are also very affordable! We will definitely be using there services in the near future! read more

The Chimy team clear out the branches and brush from a fallen tree. They arrive later than when they stated, but they communicated well. They left yard clean, and did good work. read more

I used them to prune my trees. Because they completed the project and it was getting night I wasn't able to see everything. The next day I texted him that some more branches that needed to be pruned. He was very honest and communicative throughout the whole process. He was able to fix his chainsaw and dropped by and finished the remaining branches. Trees looking great. I'll definitely be using them again. read more

I used them to grind a couple of stumps in my front yard. Guy came out timely, ground them up, and then raked as much of the mulch back into the hole as he could which was greatly appreciated. The cost was exactly what we agreed upon and zero complaints or issues. Would 100% recommend them based on my experience. read more

I welcomed Gerardo's suggestions to spruce up my landscaping. Easy consultation, fair price, easy scheduling. Will definitely hire again.

Excellent service!!!! Excellent job! Will use them again for sure!!!! They did a great job at a reasonable price. read more

I used Chimy's for weekly landscaping work because they offered to do it. The quality of their work was not exceptional but it was not too bad either and I figured I could make do with it. They began to switch up on the days for coming to do the work that I got confused as to whether they came or not, I do have a neighbor that cuts part of our lawn while doing his own. Their services rendered started to decline. However, last weekend they never showed up and never notified me that they will be absent; and I tried reaching them. A lady picked and said she will get back to me. This is practically 4 days gone now and I am yet to get a response. My subsequent calls have been going to voicemail and no call back. The rate at which they quickly responded on yelp and offered their services, is not the same rate at which they are trying to maintain that offer and try to keep improving their work quality. So disappointing. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Chimy's Landscaping. They came to our house and spent time listening to my ideas for the yard, and had great recommendations on how to get it done. I really appreciated them working with me to make my vision a reality! The work was completed the same day, and the price was very fair. My landscaping project looks amazing and I couldn't be happier! I will definitely be using Chimy's Landscaping for future projects. Thank you!!! read more

Joel and his team did everything possible to achieve our look that we asked for and succeeded. They were great to work with, at every step of the job would ask to make sure if ok with the work. Will be calling them for future projects and will refer to friends and family. Thanks Joel! read more

Did a good job of taking down a large tree. Hard working, cleaned up well after the job was finished. Fair price.

Gerardo was responsive and took care of all our needs the same day we call, and that was a Saturday! Looking forward to the weekly service once the weather allows our yard to bloom. read more

Great service. They did a great job moving a drain and cleaning up my front and back yard.

Gerardo, and his son-in-law Joe run a business with professionalism and integrity that is so rare to find. After almost 2 years of excellent service, both in hard landscaping as well as lawn and property maintenance, we have seen consistent, excellent service. I would give them 10 stars if I could! read more

Joel and the Chimy's team was great to work with and did excellent work. We had a yard that was extremely overgrown and out of control from the previous owner. Joel came over the day I contacted him, quoted me on the spot and came out sooner than expected. The quote was very reasonable and captured all of the services our yard needed. I definitely recommend Chimy's Landscaping and will be contacting them for all of our landscaping needs in the future! read more

We hired Chimy's to trim up several over grown trees in our yard. They did a fantastic job! Some of the trees had dead branches, branches hanging over our neighbors' yards, and branches pulling on the power lines. They came out on a Thursday and gave the quote there onsite. Worked with our schedule and were back on the following Tuesday to do the work. They cleaned everything up, and even took dead and broken branches that had fallen already. Great communication and timely response. The quote beat out any other quotes, very affordable!!! Very friendly team. 10/10, would definitely recommend and will use them again for future needs! read more

We had our entire front lawn resodded and an additional section serviced with new topsoil and grass seed. We couldn't be MORE PLEASED with the prompt service, respect, and care that we received from Gerardo and his crew! We're going to continue to work with them for weekly lawn service, as well. Chimy's Landscaping is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Impersonal and changed pricing. Charged $850.00 for mulch And landscaping but said cutting the lawn was not included!!! Wtf. Why would cutting the grass be included with landscaping especially with that price. Also put brown mulch instead of the red we requested. Not happy. read more
