Adam, the owner, responded almost immediately letting me know that he was booked through July. I loved the fact that a) he responded at all vs just ignoring the request, b) was upfront and honest about his timeline vs just taking the job and overextending himself. Once I told him that we were in no rush, and would be happy to wait, he proceeded to text back and forth with me helping me get an idea as to what the job might cost. He made recommendations about plants, etc....and all this without officially having secured my business. Towards the end of July, I reached back out to see what his timeline looked like. Again, he responded almost immediately. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and said he would come out to measure the area, and discuss the job in more detail. In my mind, he had absolutely nothing to apologizing for. He set a date to come out, came out exactly at the time he promised, and helped us figure out what would look good. He provided a written, detailed estimate, which he adhered to...we paid exactly what he quoted. On the day of the job, he showed up as promised and on time. He laid out all of the plants, and allowed us to move them around several times until we got everything exactly the way we wanted it. His team worked quickly and neatly. The end results are amazing! I literally couldn't be any happier with this company. If I could give more than five stars, I would

They discounted some of the cost based on that and added a few additions to what I was going to do originally. While I don't have any before and after photos I can't recommend them enough for their communication and quality of work.

We had work done in our yard and Joel has cancel over 10 times and now yet to finish what was promised. Plainfield resident. STAY AWAY. Simply dropped the ball and walked out of the project, THERE are still unfinished items. Main task I hired them for, was to do level stone paver and patching of my entire front and back yard and weed control. Now, after two months, the property is full of weeds; bumps and dips throughout, mulch was put in which prevented weed from growing, now seeds grown in unwanted flower beds!!!, This job would take a professional company a few days at least between prepping and cleanup work before even starting to lay soil and compact it in those bumpy areas. They demanded that I pay in cash and they will come next day to finish the job! Next day Gerardo the owner shows up demanding the payment. It has been a real nightmare with lots of back and forth and blaming mother nature for their mistake. Not there are grass seeds started sprouting over flower beds and weed where the grass should be growing!! What a waste of money, time and energy. I feel deceived and robbed my hard-earned money!! I typically don't complain but JOEL is full if it and very unprofessional! This job is cost way too much, and JOEL "BS" is unreal. Next step to inform the IRS about his busy dealing.

Accepted their offer, never got communication on when they were coming, some guys just showed up one day and started the spring cleanup. About halfway done, they told me it was going to be twice the cleanup and almost twice the mulch needed to complete the job, and the entire job would be 35% higher than they originally estimated. I didn't enjoy being given one price, then being given a higher price once the work started. I ended up letting another company do the mulch installation and edging. They did a good job with the spring cleanup, but ended up paying 55% more for the spring cleanup than what I was originally quoted. I gave them the opportunity to finish the job if they matched their competitors price, but they couldn't do it.

Aside from leaving heavy machinery running and unattended in residents' backyards, the scheduling…read moreis incredibly inconsistent. I'm a dog owner (as are many other residents), and the fact that we cannot count on this crew to arrive at a consistent time each week is incredibly stressful. Since they take TWO FULL DAYS to mow our portion of the neighborhood, this means we're effectively unable to enjoy the use our backyards for two days out of the week. Since the yards are also cared for piecemeal (ex. Someone cuts, someone else comes by an hour or two later and edges, then someone else comes by after another hour or two and blows), we have no way of knowing who will be entering our yards at any given time; the whole practice seems to be for the benefit of padding hours. A bit of forethought, organization and common courtesy would go a long way to solve these issues.

They demanded immediate payment with 3.5% debit card fee which doesn't leave me an option to pay by a check even though their invoice states 5 day grace period. Original review: The office staff was rude and unprofessional. The lady called me while I was out of town and immediately started arguing with me, demanding I pay them right away without any proof that the work was even done. They run everything like it's still 2005 -- they can't even send a simple link to pay with a credit card. I have had two joint replacement surgeries in the last 9 months so I needed help. I don't know what their landscape design skills are because I had already decided what plants I wanted. I picked up plants from 2 nurseries. Saved him time and me money. ( It is later in the year and I had a hard time finding everything at one.) He suggested Hinsdale Nursery whose size of shrubs were amazing. Also had luck at Wasco in St. Charles. I placed where I wanted them and J&C had everything planted and mulched in half a day. They also removed 3 older (large) shrubs. They are VERY hard workers and Javier couldn't be nicer to work with. Always wants to make sure the customer is happy with the job. Responds by text within very reasonable amount of time (you need to consider the day and time you are texting as he is doing work also). Nice weather the first time (in 70's) This second project is re-grading a path and laying stepping stones. Also adding sod where necessary and blending with the other lawn in the area that is not being replaced. The weather is horribly hot and humid (in the 90's) and they are doing a great job. I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.
