Our servers, 5 star service
Natalya O.

Great experience! Friendly and attentive service despite being totally full. Food was delicious, full of flavor and we had items that could accommodate all levels of spice tolerance. We had goat karahi, fish, bbq and of course the family naan and tried some of the other specialty naan, plus wraps for the kids that didn't want spicy heat. and If you have enough people to try and share several dishes it is an added plus to experience the variety offered. Ambience was festive, clean, and comfortable. Special shout out to all our servers, names in photo

Came for a late dinner, got a Karahi and bbq with their famous naan. It was very busy when we arrived late, bonus points they are open late. The kabob was delicious, the Karahi of our choice was possibly not the best option. I wish I had known it was going to be that spicy. It was incredibly spicy that I had to ask for additional yogurt. Wish we knew or it was stated on the menu spice level. Unfortunately, tried so hard to enjoy until we couldn't handle the spice, we hardly ate it. The naan was fresh, the food was alright.

Menu website was hard to reach. They have 5 friendly staffs all over the place. Family naan is much better than others.

Kboyz chicken karahi and butter chicken were both a HIT!!! I love that the butter chicken was not too sweet or tomato heavy. The spices were amazing and everything was incredibly flavourful. Garlic naan was nice, hot, and fresh! Service was fantastic, everyone was nice and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Went here on a friend's recommendation and I was pleasantly surprised and a bit disappointed! Prepare for lengthy analysis! We ordered the: Potohari Chicken Karahi ,Charsi Goat Karahi, Garlic Naan, Family Naan, Garden Salad and a chicken Biryani. The chicken karahi was pleasantly surprising because the recipe is similar to what my mom makes and it was especially decadent! I didn't expect it to be so good! We ordered the garlic naans and the family naan but I only really had the garlic naan which was amazing and I was full from it. Also had the chicken biryani but they didn't use basmati rice but seemingly jasmine rice which made it a lot drier than it should be. The goat was where I was displeased. The curry was underwhelming and the meat cut was also done cheaply. Lots of the pieces had fat and low amounts of meat. There was also no bone marrows which was shocking to me since I expected it, maybe I shouldn't have? Not sure. But yeah I definitely recommend the potohari chicken Karahi. I tried a bit of a friend's mocktail as well and it tasted good too!

Came here on a Saturday evening and it was quite busy! Because of that the service was quite slow, but once we got our food things took a turn for the better. We got the Half Kboys Karahi with a Family Naan, which was absolutely amazing! The dish was so flavourful and the half serving was enough for two people (and then some).

Popped by here for a quick snack, and got the potohari which was a creamy lemony type of karahi. Food and naan were great, service was good, and I liked the interior which was cozy and spacious. I'd definitely come back here to try other dishes!

For our trip we want to try things we can get at home. My husband found this place online. Several 1 star reviews were about service and I suppose they are just used to American type where everything is so fast (yes I realize this is in Canada). We were greeted and seated immediately. Yes it took a while for our server to come over and a while for our drinks but I have waited significantly longer times at places with horrible food. The server was delightful and helpful, explaining what a spice whimp like myself should try. This place has amazing food. I don't care how long the server takes, it was worth the wait. We had chicken karahi in a cream sauce, beef karahi and butter naan. Husband also had a berry mocktail colada. Everything was amazing!! The beef was too spicy for me but my husband said the flavor was great. The chicken was one of the best things I have eaten in years. The naan was soft a fluffy. We plan on eating here again before we go home.

A must try if you're in Toronto. Get the family naan, it's quite the show stopper. The kahari was great as well as many of their dishes!

The Tikka is mild spicy, and the Tandoori is medium spicy. Both were good. There was a little bit of chopped vegetables. I also ordered a drink dessert called Falooda ($6.99). I was quite uncomfortable during the whole meal and that's without wearing or holding heavy winter jacket etc. I wonder what was here before maybe a cafe as the space seemed to be geared towards that. Stairs to go down are also a bit of unnerving venture with winter boots. Washrooms hmm need to be lit and cleaned better unless they are part of the theme! Here is a play by play of the food: Squash chaat hmm didn't enjoy this at all. I couldn't identify much in terms of the taste and the spicing/sauces? didn't add anything to it either. Karahi chicken bun a decent take on this street side food with spice not held back. I enjoyed this somewhat the person I dined with it didn't. Samosa chaat: again a decent take on this street side dish. The sauces are elevated a bit from what one expects. Decent kick as well and tamarind taste coming through in the sauce. Roasted paneer: very disappointing dish. I was expecting a lot of taste either from the sauce or the paneer itself. Nope not the case at all. Big chunks devoid of any character. Beef kebab: hmm ok for what you expect. The charred cabbage was better than the main IMO. Sourdough naan decent. I can't really expect Gerarrd street prices here as the neighborhood and overheads wouldn't allow it. The appetizer (chaat) items are decent but the mains are below average. 2.5 stars out of 5 especially due to the uncomfortable setup.

The menu consists of small plates that are meant to be shared among others (or not). There is also an extensive wine list and cocktails with a Southeast Asian twist. The restaurant space is small and intimate, seating around 25 customers with both bar and table seats available. Washroom is not accessible as it does require one to navigate a set of stairs. I had been following Jamil's Chaat House on Instagram for a while now and was excited to try their food! I stopped by after work at 5pm for a drink and pre-dinner small bites where I sat at the bar. I was surprised that even at 5pm the restaurant was already half full. Staff were super friendly and went through the menu with me, making sure if I had any questions they'd be happy to answer them. I ordered an Alma Sour cocktail, the dahi puri (semolina, potato, chickpea, tamarind, cilantro yogurt), the smoked baingan kachumar (eggplant, tomato, ginger - served chilled), and the gulab jamun (cardamom syrup, rose petals, lime zest). All the dishes and the cocktail packed a punch of flavour and were all delicious! I especially enjoyed the dahi puri and the gulab jamun wasn't too sweet. Staff did recommend the karahi chicken bun but I wasn't sure if it would be too much food for me (will have to try it next time!!). Overall, a great new spot along Queen St. W. serving Pakistani street food that packs a punch of flavour. Cocktails are creative and service was great as well. A casual spot for a pre-dinner snack, dinner with friends, or late night eats (they close at 11pm!).

Their chai and paan are good too. For those who don't know a bun kababs is a meat and lentil kabab mashed up and made into a pattie topped a plain egg omelette along with onions and red and green chutney tucked into a bun. It's pretty delicious and one is enough to fill you up. Earlier I have had spicy corn and kulfi which is pretty standard. The corn is grilled over fire and topped with lime and chilli masala. They do keep Kashmiri pink tea. We normally just order it and eat it in the car. During covid times their seating is very limited and clustered hence I wouldn't like to take any chances. As far the the pricing goes it's pretty cheap. So 2 bun kababs, a chaat and a diet coke came to around $21. If you're looking for good ambience it's not the place to go. On weekends and holidays their order taking is pretty backed up. Lots of street parking. It is on Gerard street.
