KB chicken Karahi and Garlic naan
    Preeti S.

I was in the area and stopped by during Ramadan around 5:30 PM, and it was noticeably quiet--which I quickly realized was because they were getting ready for iftar later in the evening. I almost left, not wanting to interrupt, but the staff warmly insisted on accommodating me. It was really sweet, especially since it was the last day of iftar. Service was quick. I ordered the Karahi boys chicken karahi and garlic naan, and both were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Overall, a great experience. It certified lives upto its hype.

Karahi boys is a great addition to Sterling. Finally a clean, modern Karahi place we've so desperately needed. While Ravi and Shinwari are aging poorly and in desperate need of modernization and quality control. The first visit to Karahi boys was surprisingly delicious. The staff was friendly and was nice enough to help us not over order. This place is new and in their soft opening so they had a limited menu. We decided to get HALF Charsi Goat Karahi ($40) and full kboys chicken Karahi ($41), 3 family naans (8 each) and the sultan rahi tikki boti (18). We have to give them some grace because this is a soft opening. Here's where I fell off a bit. They are priced as if they are a fine dining establishment and need to adjust prices based off the quantity and presentation. $40 for half a serving of goat karahi doesn't make sense, especially with no naans. It would have made more sense for the half to be $25 / full $40 based off the quantity we received. The goat karahi was tender but lacked flavor. All we tasted was salt. 6/10. The kboys chicken karahi was delicious 10/10. Quantity was good for the price. The tikka boti flavor wise was 10/10 but quantity was very small. I will try again when the hype dies down and best believe if they don't update the prices the hype will die down. Let's hope they will try to stay in the game.

1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience This was my first time visiting Karahi Boyz, and as a long-time VIP Yelper, I always try to be fair and honest. We ordered the K Boyz Karahi, and unfortunately it was extremely salty--to the point where it was not edible. For a dish priced around $40, this was very disappointing. One of the partners came over and asked how everything was. I gave an honest, polite review of the food. Instead of addressing the issue, offering a fix, or even following up, he walked away and never returned. That was surprising and frankly unacceptable at this price point. Everyone can have an off day in the kitchen, but how you handle feedback matters. Poor food combined with poor customer service makes it hard to justify coming back or recommending this place. I truly hope management takes feedback seriously and improves both quality control and guest experience.

I went there yesterday and service is amazing S kabob and chicken was amazing just not marinated properly. I know Amir the owner will run smoothly.

Best Karahi I have had in the DMV! I know a lot of people are complaining because the wait time of a new and popular restaurant are long, well, what do you expect? The food was excellent, very generous portions, and despite being busy, we got seated and finishing eating in a very reasonable time, on a Friday night. We had the karahi, family naan, deal, and chicken kebabs. You will not go wrong!

Karahi Boys: A Modern Desi Favorite in Sterling We returned to Karahi Boys in Sterling, VA, on April 1, 2026, to celebrate my wife Nuzaira's birthday with a friend--just a week after our first visit, which shows how much we enjoyed it. Although the prices are on the higher side, Karahi Boys attracts a younger, well-off desi crowd. The restaurant stands out for its modern look, friendly staff, and consistently delicious food. Dishes are served sizzling hot, making the meal even more enjoyable. We had a pleasant chat with the owner, Mr. Amir Khan, who clearly cares about keeping high standards. However, during this visit, the table service was a bit lacking, and there was a mix-up: we got Charsi Chicken Karahi instead of Charsi Lamb Karahi, and we were billed for what we received. Even though it's tucked behind a gas station, Karahi Boys has plenty of parking and is quickly becoming a popular spot for those seeking a higher-end desi dining experience in the DMV. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, we ventured out of our way, on a freezing cold Saturday for early dinner, sadly this place was a disappointment. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, and I liked the comfortable seating and lighting, but that wasn't what I was there for. Firstly the shorter lady usher at the front door has to go, she looked miserable and not at all welcoming, she barely spoke, but her face said it all. Our waiter was better, more friendly. Service was slow, food, water, extra plates, cutlery took a long while to come out. The highlight of our meal was the family naan, soft, fluffy and buttery, which is sad, because we were there for the karahi. We ordered a half chicken mild karahi, but it was really spicy, and filled with mainly bones, there was hardly any meat. The biriyani was also pretty spicy, with only chicken and rice, there were no fried onions, potatoes or eggs but it did come with a very small raita. I wouldn't mind paying if the food was good, sadly I think it's all hype and I won't be returning anytime soon.

Exterior and Interior: Very fun interior and has some authentic vibes that people will like. Food Breakdown: * Falooda (4.5/5): Man oh man they make the best Falooda here. The only thing is that the presentation was not great cause it was overflowing and they didn't bother to clean it finally I wish they gave us more cause the cup is pretty small ngl. But taste-wise is solid and always down to get some if I am in the area. * Mirchi Fries (4/5): I loved the cut of the fries as I don't like thick fries and the Mirchi was solid compared to other places. And way better than the fast-food fries but if you love Mcdonald's Fries this is the way it should be. * Mango Lassi: (1/5) PLEASEEEEE do not get this, it is not good at all. There are better options to get and this one is not it. Portion Size: Good for the most part not. bad but I wish Falooda was a little more in the cup sadly. Price: Good! Very happy with the price I paid for my food. Service/Food Delivery: The cashier was honestly not good, no passion minimal effort to serve but hey he could be having an off day. Would I go Back: Yup, but ONLY FOR FAlOODA AND FRIES cause it was that good! Ankush's Final Thoughts: So I would come back but for me, I would only come for the dessert cause the food itself is ok. But I know my friend who went here liked the food for what it is. But one thing we can agree upon is NO LASSI PLEASE. Oh, and they have no WIFI for guests which is wack.

We ordered a…read moremix of a couple of things we were familiar with (Channa Masala Bowl with rice, Pakoras), one thing that looked similar to things we'd had before (Zeera Aloo Roll), and one thing that was totally new to us (Dahi Baray). After ordering, we chose a table and sat down to wait for our food. We noticed that the table was sticky, but after checking several other tables we realized that they were all sticky - they didn't seem *dirty*, just sticky. The Zeera Aloo Roll and Channa Masala bowl came up first. The roll was ok - mostly just roti and very drippy sauce with a few potatoes. I enjoyed the flavor, just wished there was more filling. The Chana Masala was fine -- a bit bland and the bowl was 90% rice, but it was edible. When the Pakoras came out, it was mostly just onions and a couple of potato sticks. Not much flavor there either - I couldn't even really taste the onions, it all just tasted like oil. It did come with a small cup of raita, and that was good. We had no idea what to expect from the Dahi Baray since we'd never heard of it before -- it turned out to be a few little mushy balls of dough about the size of cherries, in a huge bowl of tangy yogurt sauce that was a little bit sweeter than the raita. I liked the sauce - I mixed some with the rice from the chana masala - but neither of us liked the dumplings at all. When we were done, I stopped in the restroom before we hit the road again. I found a fairly large, very dimly lit bathroom with a very wet floor, and while I was washing my hands the dim light went out all together leaving me in total darkness. When I emerged I grabbed some napkins to dry my hands, and my daughter decided that she would wait and use the restroom at thenearby gas station before we hit the road again. Overall not the worst dining experience I've had, but we won't be back.
