Absolutely loved Saahil! We finally have a fine dining Pakistani restaurant. We ordered their Ramadan platter which came with an assortment of chicken, beef and lamb. The meat was tender and flavorful. I also love the palak paneer. Their mango lassi has saffron in it(!) Also love the presentation of the ghulab jamun. Saahil did not disappoint! As fellow Pakistanis, my family and I had high expectations, and were blown away by the service, ambience and quality of food. It's hard to find quality Pakistani food around here and this place really nailed it, with cozy and elevated vibes. Our server was especially kind, and Mr. M was a lovely host, giving justice to true Pakistani hospitality! Now to the most important part: the food. All of it was good. Honestly, you can't go wrong. The Peshawari Goat Karachi and Karachi Beef Nihari were our favorites - the meat was very tender and cooked just right, with the perfect amount of spice and sauciness. Plus, the servers were so kind and wanted to make sure the dishes were exactly what we wanted, which made us feel like we could've asked for something more or less if needed. Recently I had the experience to eat at "Saahil". If you 're looking for Pakistani restaurant with formal setting & great food, then don't think twice. Come to Saahil. The Burns Road (Karachi) Chicken Tikka was definitely my favorite so far. Took me back to Pakistan. Served with naan or rice. GF Gol Guppas , were a treat. The food was delicious, reminded me of Continental breakfast from Pakistan, lots of variety from halwa puri to American style. We came all the way from Pennsylvania just to eat at Saahil -- and it was totally worth it! I'm Turkish and a huge fan of Pakistani food, and this was honestly one of the best experiences I've had. Entrees took longer but spacing was okay. We ordered both goat karahi and grilled shrimp. Karahi well prepared with only minor drawback was the amount of oil. Would not call grilled shrimp an 'entree' - on its own or even with a side, it felt more like an large appetizer. However, it was well cooked and seasoned. We came at 6pm on a Tuesday and there wasn't any rush. Service was okay. The food was okay also but wasn't as good as I expected coming from all the hype online. We orders the chicken biryani (4/10), beef nihari (7/10), dehi balla (3/10), samosa chaat(4/10), beef seekh Kabab (6/10), burns road tikka boti (7/10). I'm very sad to write this review as I had wanted this restaurant to be as good as what I had been hearing. The food was bland to mediocre. The service was average. I had the monkfish, chicken tikka boneless and the bangun aloo. Of all three the bangun aloo had some flavors to it. My wife had the chicken karahi and found that no where near what we expect. Both of us born in Pakistan. I had to ask where our food was since we had gone past 20 minutes of wait time. The server explained that a larger groups order had been worked on first. Even though we had ordered before they all sat down. To add insult to injury, there is an automatic 20% service fee. For 2 people?!?! I had to shake my head and this was the only time the server apologized for our food taking so long to come out. I know they are 3 weeks into this. I hope they get better. We drove 40 minutes one way to experience what I had hoped was to be a turn in Pakistani restaurants. Only to be greatly disappointed. Good luck guys! read more

We catered recently from Saahil for an Iftar and the food was amazing. Every guest was asking me where the food was catered from. Every bit was DELICIOUS!!! My favorite was the goat biryani. I felt like I was eating my mom's home cooked biryani! Great job to the chefs! We also ordered dhai baray, chicken karahi, naan and okra. These items were amazingly delicious also. The spice level was perfect. We asked for mild spice and they implemented it perfectly.The Iftar came with dates which was very convenient. We went with high hopes because there has never been a fine dining Pakistani option in the DMV area. Service was bad, and it took a long time for our server to even get us the menu. No Nihari and chicken tikka on a Saturday is not what you want to tell your first few guests. We tried the daal, seekh kabab and chicken biryani. Daal and seekh kabab were below average, I mean how can you make a mediocre daal? The large serving of seekh kabab was 2 small kebabs, shocking. The chicken biryani was very dry and light on the spices, which was refreshing because restaurants usually don't do biryani well. Our bill had errors which had to be corrected twice. 21 % service charge was a bit surprising. We'll come back for Nihari and Chicken tikka and if it's any good then this review will be updated. The food was just completely intolerable with the spice levels,we got a platter with LIGHT spice but apparently the food was burning our mouths. Thank got the naan was the leader of the show and was delicious . If you can't handle spice and are not a diehard spice lover , this place is not for you. I would not come here again . Came here for a private dining event and it was phenomenal. There was unlimited supply of amazing garlic naan, Karahi chicken, biryani, and other great North Indian / Pakistani dishes . On the evening of January 8, 2026, we dined at a newly opened Pakistani restaurant in Dulles Plaza, Sterling, VA. The restaurant boasts a spacious layout, inviting ambiance, and flavorful cuisine. While the portion sizes are smaller and the prices higher than those at most other desi establishments, the attentive service and exceptionally clean washrooms set it apart. Please note that a mandatory 21% service charge is applied to the bill, and an additional tip is also expected. We were a party of four and drove over 40 minutes to check this place out on a Wednesday night around 7pm. We were starving, tired, and excited to try it especially after seeing all the Instagram pics and good reviews. However when we got there, the host told us they couldn't seat us... even though we could clearly see multiple open tables. No wait time offered, no "let's see what we can do," just a straight "we can't accommodate you." It was honestly shocking. We ended up leaving super disappointed and the entire experience was disheartening. It's 2025..if you're going to be in the restaurant business you should at least account for walk-ins or at the very least try to accommodate for people that are trying to give you their business...it's basic common sense. Last week I had a chance to go to Saahil which is supposed to be a Pakistani Fine Dining experience,but unfortunately it wasn't. The food catered more towards the Indian palette and was subpar and overpriced. I also had reserved in advance from 6:30-8:30 but they were trying to make us leave by 8 for another party. When I went I hoped to have and elevated experience with traditional and familiar dishes but that wasn't the case, I ordered: Burns Rd Chicken Tikka, Seekh kabab, Nihari, Karahi and Tarka daal 1. The chicken tikka was very bland having no taste at all, rotisserie chicken has more flavor 2. Seekh Kabob was full of garlic and we ordered a size large which came with two kabobs that were the same sizes as the ones in my freezer for 25 dollars 3. Nihari traditionally made of beef, there was served with a goat shank basically and the flavor of the dish is in between Nihari and Paya. 4. Karahi was nothing out of the ordinary which isn't worth the price point The daal was the better of the dishes but not enough to recommend the food here in full confidence. The names of the dishes in the menu also appeared to be misleading. The most shocking moment that evening was when the server told us that another party had our table booked starting at 8 even though we were confirmed for 6:30 - 8:30, which appears to be a management issue and unprofessional. I have never had such an experience at an establishment, especially one meant for fine dining. read more

Was excited to try this new place out. We arrived here at 5:30 with a party of eight. Unfortunately, the ig hype was an untrue. Food was just okay but portion sizes are very small. For example, they serve their bone in chicken tikka in two sizes. We ordered the large plate and got two pieces. Large shrimp Jhinga only has four shrimp accompanied with nothing else. So some of the large plates aren't even enough to feed a single person. Makes me wonder how small a small plate would be. My real issue was how long it took. Drinks arrived half an hour after we ordered. Appetizers arrived an hour after we ordered and the main dishes arrived an hour and 45 minutes after we ordered. I did at one point ask the waiter how long the food would take as we had waited for quite a while. Everyone was served only half a glass of water at a time and at one point I asked our server if we could get the jug for the table because we kept running out of water. He told us that wouldn't be possible. Very simple request that was denied for an unknown reason. But what really irritated me was that the owner/manager came up to us after the meal and asked us how it was. I gave him a very honest answer-that it took extremely long for food to come out and we had been sitting there for more than two hours from start to finish. He told me he didn't believe me because why hadn't I complained earlier? Not the answer I expected from an owner/manager, especially for a new restaurant. There was no explanation, or apology for our experience and it seemed like he didn't care if we came back. And he's right, we won't. read more

This place is not worth the hype. I don't care if they have the best food in town. There are a lot of places in town with great food. I value the service and experience just as much as the food. It's totally worthless if the service sucks! I wish I had read other reviews before driving 48 minutes to check this place out. It was just me and my two kids. I was so excited to eat there based on the research I had done. I called on my way there to see if I needed to make a reservation, and I got a prerecorded message saying that they don't take same day reservations and they don't make reservations over the phone, and for a party of 4 or more we had to book online on their website. Since it was 3 of us I figured it would be fine. They didn't even try to accommodate and I saw plenty of open tables. They said the wait was 45min. Again it was only 3 of us and the recorded message only addressed party of 4 or more. I would have been happy to make the reservation online since I knew my drive was almost one hour.
