Call was answered Saturday morning and I was transferred to service. I opted for the first available technician instead of choosing my own. (Needed this repair asap since we are from out of town and using the camper) I got an appointment for the very next morning. Within 2 hours I received a call saying it was all finished and covered under our warranty. The technician explained the leak came from 2 separate hoses (one that was only visible after removing the tank), those were tightened. He made sure there was no crack in the tank and even straightened the tank because it was installed crooked. After we were finished I asked if there was another way to loosen the water filter because I couldn't get it to budge. He got it loose for me. Thank you to everyone in the service dept for helping fix our trailer and getting us in and out so fast! I'm sorry so many others had bad experiences, but I certainly did not. I will go back if I ever need service in the Albany area.

They will never provide you with timely updates and you have to call the yourself to find out anything. I would recommend avoiding this dealership solely based on the terrible experience we have received after the sale as well as the headache we endured and how long it took to get a refund we were owed from the unit we traded in.

Let me begin by saying that I'm a tough sell. I do my research, and I have high expectations. That…read moresaid, this was my first camper purchase, and I had much to learn. The staff at Exit 1 RV were never pushy, and unlike every other place I contacted, they NEVER hounded me with phone calls, emails, texts, etc. Not once. Months after purchasing my camper, I continue to receive spam calls from big chain outfits I originally looked into (but didn't buy from), wooed by their flashy online prices. I'm a teacher, so please learn this from me: 1-The great prices that chain stores offer online exclude pretty much...EVERYTHING. Exit 1 RV includes it ALL. Believe them. 2-THINK about where you will get your camper serviced. They all need service, just like your car. If you get a GREAT chain store deal (see #1, it isn't so great), or FB marketplace deal, where will you get it serviced? Think ahead. Exit 1 provides great local service. 3-The personal touch. When we picked up our camper, my husband and I stopped for coffee first. We spent hours, led by Exit 1 staff, leisurely going through our camper and asking EVERY question, flicking EVERY switch, moving EVERY hose, learning by doing. Do you think that happens when you buy a discount "clearance" camper online? No. We weren't rushed at all. We were encouraged to keep asking! This morning, 2 days after bringing the camper home, I opened my mailbox to find a hand written thank you note from Kelly, who guided us through the sales process. What more can I say, except, stop looking for the lowest number online, and head to Exit 1, where you CAN get a great deal, and you'll have a great experience as well.

When we…read morecontacted KS2 (the manufacturer of the inverter) to arrange a pick up of a new unit they suggested Alpin Haus. Mind you it was late afternoon on Thursday. I called Alpin Haus and Randy Robb the assistant service manager (didn't know this until much later) was on the other end of the line. After explaining the situation I asked if there was any way we could get in and have it looked at. Incredibly he said sure, bring it in and if you're dry camping you can even stay in our lot. The inverter did in fact short out and we were without AC but had DC. Chris the expert electronic wizard diagnosed the issue and we were stuck for the weekend in upstate NY. We enjoyed our weekend (minus AC current) but with DC current we were able to keep the food cold, the fan running, interior coach lights working and we had a great trip to the Adirondacks. On Monday we returned to Alpin Haus and Chris was out, my greatest fear since we had developed a sincere trust with him and when Randy said that he had the other wizard on it, Big Frank stepped in. Seamless doesn't come close to how good this team of mechanics are at AH. The big man got us dialed in and we hit the road that evening with the van back to work. These people are the real deal. In the era of Big Box everything, it takes a dealer that cares and treats everyone like family to show that there is still the chance that the end is not in sight for a local dealer with great staff, great inventory and people and dog friendly to help a traveler find their way down the road. My sincere gratitude to Randy, Chris and Frank and the entire staff and team at Alpin Haus for helping us get through this difficult situation. Y'all are the best.

My personal experience of Boat N RV was one of the worst customer experiences of my life, I could…read morenot recommend this company to anyone. The slick, inept and unprofessional sales people are one thing, but the customer service and the follow up are completely nonexistent. I bought a very expensive RV and when we got to our orientation as we sat and talked through all the features, I was looking around and happened to look up to the ceiling and that's when I noticed a great big hole in the roof. A hole that a few weeks early Jamie (Office Manager of the year's son) punched whilst showing off how sturdy the roofs are - well not quite that sturdy as he left a great bloody hole in the RV. So as we sat our orientation (My Birthday) they were showing us the RV and promised to deliver it the same day but...when I looked up I noticed a hole - a big hole. So I offered to let them fix/patch the hole in a brand new $30,000 RV and said if you throw in a 30 inch tv and stand we will be fine with that - considering a new roof would be over $2000 to fix I really thought I was being more than reasonable. Well let's cut a long story short - I offered a $250 fix and 3 weeks later heard nothing, no tv, no stand, no phone call. When I called Jamie he blamed the office assistant and said he would get one mailed out ASAP. A week later - nothing - so I called back (this is now 4 weeks later) and Jamie said Walmart was out of stock, what? Of 30 inch tv's? No they weren't - they just hadn't done anything. So I said okay I want a new ceiling!! And so the story goes - I never head anything back on that either. So I recanted that offer and demanded the unit be collected and the ceiling be replaced - and of course no unit collected, having chased for 3 weeks- they finally collected the unit - 2 weeks later I called to get an update and Jamie seemed totally obliviously to the situation. At that point I demanded a new unit. Well again nothing was ever done, no communication - no feedback. At this point I got a corporate person's name and was told he would be in the office so I called to try and speak to him but of course Jamie intercepted the call and I was told 'he was with family and would call me straight back' - after 30 mins I called again and was told 'he's left for the day" - shady treatment !!!!!! I Never did get to speak to anyone from Corporate despite leaving over 7 phone messages ... So having spoken to Jamie I found out he hadn't ordered a new unit, he hadn't ordered a new ceiling, he had not got a new tv or stand - wow !! So, effectively HE HAD DONE NOTHING - EXCEPT MAKE EXCUSES. My ordeal lasted 6 months and I finally got my money back - I looked at units in July and bought the unit back in August - had it sat at my house for nearly 2 months - then the dealership had it for nearly 2 months and zero was done, every chance the dealership had to make this right - they just could not be bothered. I of course had been paying on a RV I never used and never had for most of the time. Finally having threatened to take this to corporate and to court they took back the camper and I got my money back nearly 6 months later.... this took over 30 phone calls, texts, 3 official letters and hours and hours of frustration. Jamie seemingly is the ONLY manager at Boat and RV and every efforts to speak to anyone else got ignored! At one point I had 8 contact names and called every single one and no one ever called back despite this being 100% their fault. Good products but bad service. I would never personally buy from Boat and RV again. I read the reviews and because I knew someone that worked there I thought I might have a better experience but that was definitely not the case.
