Had a meeting scheduled for this morning with a very responsive and knowledgable sales rep named Steve F. We spoke on the phone a couple of times and Steve understood what type of RV we were looking for and we made plans to meet to look at available inventory. After driving 30 minutes and arriving on site at our scheduled meeting time, I was informed that Steve had called out sick and that another employee told me that he "had no knowledge of Steve's conversations with me and that we would need to start from the beginning." WILL NOT BUY HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND!!!!! We dropped our camper off for an inspection a month ago for an "inspection" and did not hear from the dealership for 2 weeks. Left 5 voivemails and still no response. Finally called week 3 and and asked a salesman to walk back and get someone on the phone from service. Not a sorry for not calling or returning a call, not an explanation for not returning 5 voicemails in weeks NOTHING! Recieved a phone call after my initial google review from James, who was very nice and let me know that I would recieve a call Friday with an update. Friday came and passed, it's now Monday. Called twice today was put on hold for 10 minutes, no ansewer, the second time was hung up on after being on hold for about 7 minutes. Finally was able to speak with Jessica who let me know that they are still waiting on parts and she stated that she will be following up with me the Monday after the holidays. I understand that parts are hard to get right now and shipping is a mess, however, we dropped our camper off a month ago for an "insepction" and not one person in weeks called or returned a call letting us know what was going on. Complete lack of respect and customer service! Apparently the pnly way to get a call is to leave a review. UNREAL!!! read more

We were staying at Turning Stone Village RV getting ready to pull out this morning at 7:am when the back slide on our 2021 Tiffin Allegro Bus got jammed. We called at 8:00 am and Erin looked at the days schedule and moved things around so he could send two mobile technicians out to us - 1.5 hours away. They came and knew exactly what to do, explained what broke and were able to put the slide in and secure it for travel. It was pouring rain and they took care not to track in mud even though it didn't matter to us at the time. They were very good, courteous, and knowledgeable. Big shout out to the employees of Alpin Haus from buying my camper Brian Miller the sales associate was awesome no pressure at all took me 5 weekends until I finally found one I liked he was very patient. Unfortunately 4months later a tree fell on it so I brought it back there to have them look at at they fixed her up to looking brand new again Thanks to Scott in service department he was very polite kept me up on the process and updated me as it was getting fixed got us camping one week before our seasonal was opening it is AWESOME. Very frustrating that the RVs don't have prices on them. The process is to sit down with a sales person and describe your budget. That is the key word, "budget." The gentleman continued to show me units in the lot and said they were in my budget. If two campers are similar, but priced much differently; I'd purchase the cheaper one if it appealed to me. I finally got frustrated and left. I purchased a travel trailer at another site later that day. read more

My partner and I went to AlpinHaus to look at travel trailers. We were greeted by a salesman named Patrick. We told him that we want an RV that we can use to camp in National Forests without the need for hookups. He excused himself to speak with the "sales manager". In a few minutes he came back and said, "We have a trailer that is last year's model that we can give you a great prices on". I told Patrick that we were interested in seeing the features of the boondocking" trailers that were on the lot. I also told him that we would discuss price after we found one that fit our needs. He took us out onto the lot with a stapled sheaf of papers in his hand. He had to look at the sheet for each of the trailers that he'd decided we would be interested in. Sadly, over the next 45 minutes he demonstrated that he knew very few details about those trailers. Several times he told us (again) that they could offer us a great price on a hold-over from last year. Each time I politely reminded him that we were more interested on the features that each trailer had to offer and would we could discuss price after we found one that fit our needs. While we did in fact look at the "bargain" that he kept pushing, we found that the workmanship of the inside had much to be desired. There was sawdust inside the drawers and cabinets. Many of them had not been assembled correctly - either the drawer itself was not square inside or the cabinet door wasn't hung straight. My partner also noticed that the outside of the unit was scratched and scraped like another vehicle or trailer had driven past too closely. When we returned to Patrick's office he again tried to push the "bargain trailer" on us, saying that, at the still undisclosed price that they were asking it wouldn't last long. We politely declined one last time and left AlpinHaus with a very bad feeling. My partner and I agreed that we'd never buy an RV from there. We later visited another dealer in Albany. We had a very positive experience there. The sales person was patient, answered our questions, and respected our need to find a trailer that fit our needs. He also didn't try to push any "bargains" on us and also respected our stance on when to discuss prices. We'll be going back there soon to buy a trailer that really does fit our needs. read more

We were renting an RV and passing through Saratoga Springs on our trip when the water stopped working. Neither I or the RV owner knew what to do so I brought the RV to the service department at Aplin Haus. Jim, the manager, got us in right away and repaired the broken water pump. He even provided a car while we watied so I coudl bring my 90 year old mother to her doctors appointment. We were out the same afternoon and on our trip again. Nearly one year after my last encounter (when they claimed "call center issues,") I am again trying to get an individual in the service department to return either my phone call or email. I recently bought my new motor home from Alpine Haus. The sales department was knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I worked with Bill and he really made me feel good about my purchase and working with the dealership. My only issue was that the device department didn't prepare the RV for pickup as they were supposed until the day I went to pick it up. read more

BECKY who answered the phone today 9/24/16 ,simply hung up on me after me calling back after she transferred me to service dept , asked Becky if any one was I service to answer my call regarding winterizing my boat. On my return from Alpin Haus in Port Jervis this morning on May 24, 2018, I had gotten my annual forever warranty inspection and state inspection done. I was on my way home over the mountain in Greenville, only about 4 miles from the dealership headed east when all the sudden my 2016 Ram 2500 V8 Hemi lost all steering power coming down the mountain. I could not steer at all. I locked up the brakes and it took me nearly 70 yards to stop, not being fully able to with the momentum of my 33 foot RV trailer behind me. I almost rammed a wide load tractor trailer who swerved and ultimately ended up on it's side in the ditch down the road around the curve. I went straight over a guard rail and into a grassy area finally coming to a stop just feet away from a severe cliff drop off (where the State Police told me they just hauled out a tractor trailer from there recently) I had called 911 and Fire, Ambulance, 5 Troopers, and 2 tow trucks came to get me out of there. Once I was pulled out to the road and seen by EMS, I called Brandon the service manager asking for him to send me someone with a truck to pick up my trailer and bring it back to the dealer. I am really only about 4 miles away from that point, but Brandon replied, "No, I do not have anyone available, I can't send anyone out to you." I asked him pleading from the ambulance please come help me, but they did not. I later called Asa one of the sales reps, I told him what happened, and he basically did not seem too excited about it and offered me to speak to another manager. They just lost a family of customers. We were looking to upgrade to a larger unit this summer with Alpin Haus. Guess not. I almost died going over the cliff that day which is not their fault, but they could have come out of sincerity and gave a helping hand as campers do. I was close to the dealership so I did not think to call my roadside assistance. A close call and even closer to the dealer....Thanks for nothing ! read more

My experience here was with the parts department. Unfortunately in this case one man brings down the rating here. I was at the facility three different times and I'm not sure if making customers feel unwanted is his job or what but that's exactly the vibe I got from this guy. Dave or Don...whatever his name is was helpful in getting me someone else that actually knew what they were doing but that was after he made sure that it was VERY clear that I was bothering him and made life difficult because he couldn't sit down. Steve was helpful and took care of what I needed especially with the lack of info on my part. The young lady that was there the third time was SUPER helpful and clearly knew what she was talking about. If you have to go here make sure you talk to Steve or ask for the woman, or a rock...talk to anyone except the white guy with blonde hair in the parts department...the rock will be more useful than he will! read more
