As far as transit centers go, this is by far the worst in the island. No public bathrooms, far away from the main road, and really sketchy.

Spur of the moment, let's go to Kapolei today, wait... wanna go on the rail, round trip 40 minutes…read morefrom Kapolei Station to Halawa Station. No more free rides as of today but $10 for 2 Holo cards and two riders got us a morning adventure. We stood stupefied for a moment reading the signage. Nice employee came to our assistance. She informed us that this station only sells adult cards not senior cards. I told hubs it's fine so we got our entry into the station. If you have mobility issues there is an up escalator and a down elevator. If you park at the Park and Ride there is a short walk but walkers or a wheelchair might be helpful to those who need them. There is a bus stop there which drops off in front of the station. Watch for what Train platform you need to be at. At the C level you'll proceed to either T1 or T2. Approaching trains and times are lit up so look for the signs. Once on, there are seats that face forward, backwards or for priority seating facing sideways. The seats are comfy, for 70,000+ riders having ridden Skyline it is clean, and there are employees on board monitoring. Ingenious how the stops were determined by landmarks chosen for stations like LCC, Pearlridge and Halawa. Still requires walking but nevertheless convenient to hopefully alleviate morning and afternoon commute times. The distance between stations seems close enough and gets you there quickly. The next stop and which door will open is announced. I like the elevator height view above church steeples, with a passing egret flying by. A view from a car is limited but from up here you'll see much more: Waipahu Mill, neighborhoods, where the extra trains are housed, and more. Where the elevators are you might catch a cool breeze. The train cars are air conditioned. Right now the ridership is in awe with some excitement. Hopefully once the entire system is complete we'll hop onto it again.

What a cool ride…read more.. With the biggest parking if you're heading east this would be the best choice though getting to the platform itself will be quite a journey though because it's large the benefits are that it's spacious and feeling like Japan with all the stairs I climbed today...maybe I'll lose some weight with this lol! Well with a Skyline filled with occupants it was hot...depends on where you're sitting don't bet on a chill ride depending where you're at though a tad bit rocky I think it's a smooth ride in comparison to some other rail system that I rode. I do like this station as it does have a park and ride with but taking you to to general area that I'm assuming as I'm not from this area and am not familiar other than Kamakana Ali'i, it is what it is and seems to be an option once we figure out the kinks which is what this free ride introduces us too is a good thing. Thank you!

Huge shout-out to OPB for making our company Christmas after-party unforgettable. Even though I…read morebooked pretty late and our first choice (the Coors) was already booked weeks out, they came through with "The Beast," and we were able to secure it just three days before our event. An extra shout-out to our driver, Delson; he was an absolute gem. We rented the bus for four hours on a Saturday, and he was incredible at staying in touch and being exactly where we needed him throughout the night. He even circled back to multiple stops when a few people realized they'd left phones or purses on the bus. We didn't have a set route; everyone wrote down a bar, and we spun the wheel roulette-style, which made the night even more fun. We ended up extending the rental by another two hours and would've gone longer if road closures for the marathon hadn't cut us off. Highly recommend OPB and Delson for any group event! We will definitely be booking again.

Everyone got to ride in the big "BEAST" bus to Kapolei Ka Makana Mall while enjoying the snacks and drinks that were also included in this package. On the bus the teens got to hookup their bluetooth and play music they enjoyed. OPB Staff- TJ greeted us at the mall and walked us over to arena. pointed out the restrooms nearby. After we all jumped back on the bus to cool off we headed to a park where TJ met us with tables ALREADY prepared with birthday table covers, 4 Large Hot Pizzas, and cold drinks ready for us to enjoy. Our last stop was the cherry on top- Daves Ice Cream Shop (personally my favorite ice cream and its MADE IN HAWAII). Cute little shop & the staff serving was very helpful in getting everyones order and we all sang happy birthday! My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Oahu Party Bus RAZOR cart & nerf Package so much that we went ahead and booked a party for our sons upcoming birthday. The main selling points is the great customer service, curbside service- immediately after exiting bus we were all directed and not lost in the iteniary with 15 teens and some parents, and above all the convenience of booking one package with everything included!! I wont have to set up decorations, pick up refreshments, or drive 25 people over to the west side- but instead sit back and enjoy our kids happiness & excitement! Thank You OPB!

When the center was first opened there were restrooms for both the men and women to use. With my most recent layover visit at the transit I noticed that both restroom facilities were padlocked. My guess throughout the years the restrooms were hardly cleaned by the janitors and the facilities ended up having graffiti on the walls, the smell of urine, toilets not flushed, as well as lack of toilet paper, soap, and hand towel. Some days or nights there will be homeless individuals walking around the transit area...I tend to keep my distance when I see a homeless person that smell like urine or bad underarm smell. The Waipahu Transit Center is within walking distance to Times Supermarket, food establishments, as well as a gas station that has a car wash. One thing good about this transit center is that there is a security guard around to make sure that nothing else happens.

If I can get on the bus at a different stop, I'd do that instead of come here. The star is for the security guard that is very polite.

Today, January 27th, 2012, I had this company pick me up TWICE - Once in the morning to go TO my…read moreDialysis, and the 2nd to return home. I am a "regular" Handi-Van rider, (At LEAST every M/W/Fri) and in the area, are a few additional others. This morning, I had a driver who mentioned that he had to pick up someone else, on Young Street. Yet - he went around the block and headed WEST on Beretania. When he was just before Keeamoku, I asked him "I thought that you said you were going to pick someone else up?" He said "yes", and then I said "A Lady on YOUNG Street"? He AGAIN said "yes". So I told him he was GOING THE WRONG WAY! So I told him to turn onto Keeamoku, (he had to cross ALL THE WAY!), then left onto Young Street (behind the new Hale Pawaa building). He did, and I said "just go straight until I say it is coming up, then slow down and stop".... BTW - he initially was following his GPS, and I will explain WHY he NEEDED that... So it was who I thought it was, told him to stop, and he picked her up. She normally goes to Ala Moana, and The Handi-Van (which this company was REPRESENTING and SUB-CONTRACTING for) drops off at either in front of the Post Office (which is where she is normally dropped off) or on the backside - Ala Moana Blvd but INSIDE the parking lot "behind" the big Bus Stop... (*I then understood why the Post Office - from the back she would have to walk in with NO benches to stop and rest.) Apparently when she goes to Ala Moana, she goes to Makai Food Court, and asked if he could drop her off there instead of the Post Office. He didn't understand WHERE this was, so I had to DIRECT him ALL THE WAY down to ATKINSON (he didn't know THAT street either), direct him AROUND Ala Moana, and into the lot and made the left right in front of the food court. We had FINALLY arrived...After dropping her off, he needed to know HOW TO GET OUT OF the SHOPPING CENTER! So I HAD to ask - "You don't know this place?" And he said - Believe THIS - "I have only been here a WEEK"! Now HOW can someone that hasn't even been here a MONTH be driving Handicapped and the elderly with OUT even knowing WHERE YOU ARE GOING? At least a BASIC idea, but having been here ONLY ONE WEEK, how do you even get HIRED? How do you pass and get a LOCAL CDL with OUT knowing at LEAST the AREA? BUT - it gets MUCH BETTER. This afternoon, for my ride home, I had this company AGAIN - But this time, I KNOW the guy was trying to INCREASE their MILEAGE (THAT is what they actually use the GPS for - it records the miles used/taken.) Imagine this - My Dialysis is at HMC/St Francis ON Liliha. So this guy drove UP Liliha, to Wyllie, and went to Nuuanu. I THOUGHT he was going to cross over and get on the FREEWAY, but no - he turned DOWN Nuuanu, went downt to Kawananakoa, and turned left to GET ON THE FREEWAY! From where I was, if he went DOWN Liliha, he could have turned LEFT on a NUMBER of occasions - Kuakini St. then go to the SAME intersection he ENDED up at! OR - Go down Liliha, turn left onto Judd, THEN turn right onto Nuuanu and then turn LEFT AT Kawananakoa, a BLOCK BEFORE where he turned. AND another way - go STRAIGHT DOWN Liliha until you cross the bridge and turn left onto the Liliha ON-RAMP to the FREEWAY! ANY of these would be SHORTER than the way HE went! So you think he was "PUMPING UP" the MILEAGE? Guess what? OTS pays them by MILE, and WE pay, in CITY (and partially Federal) TAXES for this Service! And these "PRIVATE" Sub-Contracted Transport Services get paid MAJOR MILEAGE DOLLARS! So my COMPLAINT is with THIS COMPANY and BOTH rides today! FIRST - How do you even THINK about hiring someone that has only been here for a WEEK and DOESN'T know even MAJOR roadways? (I blame the City too, for giving him his CDL in the first place - or does he even HAVE a CDL? Not like a TAXI that are REQUIRED to POST their LICENSES...) AND... SECOND - For INFLATING the MILEAGE - What, you think I've lived here ALL MY LIFE and DON'T know the roads? Or - you think me STUPID, perhaps? I AM going to file a WRITTEN COMPLAINT to OTS about THIS ONE! But first, I gotta call Customer Service on Monday (too late now) to REPORT THIS!
