Waianae Transit Center is located on Lehoku Street. Passengers of the bus can see the view of the ocean from a distance as well as the back end of the parking lot of Waianae Mall. There's a clock fixture on the premises supposedly telling the current time of the day (not sure if it still works). There's no restroom facilities unless you want to consider the two port-a-potties that's available for the brave folks. Other wise the nearest restrooms are located at Pizza Hut for paying customers, Starbucks for paying customers, and Burger King. The few times that I have been to this public transit center I noticed some pre-teens riding their skateboards and doing small tricks on the sidewalk. I also noticed that the concrete sidewalk has a bunch of gum marks. Like most bus stop locations there will always be graffitis on the shelters or seats. Waianae Transit Center could use a bit more lights for the evenings. Especially when it's very dark. More lights equals to safe transit area for the residents of Waianae. Better to be safe in knowing your surrounding area than not knowing what's in your vicinity.

Today (Friday), we arrived around noon and were greeted by a security staff member who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and provided excellent customer service. He patiently answered all of our questions and made us feel welcome. The ride to the airport took about 18-19 minutes. We did a practice walk from the station to the Hawaiian/Alaska Airlines check-in area, and it was very easy to navigate thanks to the clear directional signs along the way. Afterward, we hopped back on the rail, rode to the last two stations just for fun, and then headed back to Ho'opili. The entire round trip took about an hour. Overall, it was a smooth, clean, and enjoyable experience, and we look forward to riding again.

Spur of the moment, let's go to Kapolei today, wait... wanna go on the rail, round trip 40 minutes…read morefrom Kapolei Station to Halawa Station. No more free rides as of today but $10 for 2 Holo cards and two riders got us a morning adventure. We stood stupefied for a moment reading the signage. Nice employee came to our assistance. She informed us that this station only sells adult cards not senior cards. I told hubs it's fine so we got our entry into the station. If you have mobility issues there is an up escalator and a down elevator. If you park at the Park and Ride there is a short walk but walkers or a wheelchair might be helpful to those who need them. There is a bus stop there which drops off in front of the station. Watch for what Train platform you need to be at. At the C level you'll proceed to either T1 or T2. Approaching trains and times are lit up so look for the signs. Once on, there are seats that face forward, backwards or for priority seating facing sideways. The seats are comfy, for 70,000+ riders having ridden Skyline it is clean, and there are employees on board monitoring. Ingenious how the stops were determined by landmarks chosen for stations like LCC, Pearlridge and Halawa. Still requires walking but nevertheless convenient to hopefully alleviate morning and afternoon commute times. The distance between stations seems close enough and gets you there quickly. The next stop and which door will open is announced. I like the elevator height view above church steeples, with a passing egret flying by. A view from a car is limited but from up here you'll see much more: Waipahu Mill, neighborhoods, where the extra trains are housed, and more. Where the elevators are you might catch a cool breeze. The train cars are air conditioned. Right now the ridership is in awe with some excitement. Hopefully once the entire system is complete we'll hop onto it again.

With the biggest parking if you're heading east this would be the best choice though getting to the platform itself will be quite a journey though because it's large the benefits are that it's spacious and feeling like Japan with all the stairs I climbed today...maybe I'll lose some weight with this lol! Well with a Skyline filled with occupants it was hot...depends on where you're sitting don't bet on a chill ride depending where you're at though a tad bit rocky I think it's a smooth ride in comparison to some other rail system that I rode. I do like this station as it does have a park and ride with but taking you to to general area that I'm assuming as I'm not from this area and am not familiar other than Kamakana Ali'i, it is what it is and seems to be an option once we figure out the kinks which is what this free ride introduces us too is a good thing. The Makalapa/Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Station is perhaps the most beautiful station in the…read moresystem so far. This station is one of the four stations that opened in October 2025 as a part of the Skyline Sement 2 extension. It's located right across the street from the Makalapa Gate of the Pearl Harbor Naval Base on Kamehameha & Radford. It is also about a 7 minute walk uphill to the NEX (take 1L from the Hālawa Station if that's too far for you), and Target Salt Lake about a 13 minute walk away. Two buses serve this station, with PH8 running to Pearl Harbor (10 minute frequency at rush hour; every 1 hour mid-day) and 331 to Hickam AFB every hour. The station itself is very beautiful, from the green roof, cool artwork in the mezzanine level, green-painted fences, and a nice design on the station entrance tile. This is also one of the only stations that have escalators from ground level to platform (one direction only though). Also, another surprise is the bike rack storage within the paid area with a security camera watching over the area!!! You can literally bike to the rail and keep it here while you work at Pearl Harbor. It's really nice! I haven't used it other than sightseeing on opening day, but I look forward to using it going to the UPS Store at NEX, or Target (if I don't want to wait for the 1L lol).

Why are bus stops around the US shelters for the homeless? Wahiawa is no exception. The transit…read morecenter could be so much cleaner & healthier, but it's littered with trash, the ground is sticky & gross. The City & County really need to bleach & pressure wash this place down on a weekly basis.There's a huge roof top parking lot but no one parks there, because it would mean taking the stairs or elevator where the homeless sleep, eat, use the bathroom & other unmentionable activities, it's nasty, scary & stinks. However, there is always security present. I've witnessed a few times where they had to ask a mentally ill person who's been tripping since the early 60's to leave & sleep it off. The buses run pretty much on schedule, the drivers are nice & informative. They drive like a bat out of hell so if you see them coming get the F out of their way. Other waiting bus riders usually tend to themselves which I like cause I dislike mindless little chit chat. You can find everything you need on The Bus website & other sites regarding fares, schedules & routes. The new Holo card is easy to use & reload.

The Ahua station is really clean and I was able to get through the rail system very easily. I was able to get to my destination in about 40 min. Just as a heads up, as of this writing the elevator is out of service.

The Ahua / Lagoon Drive Station is one of the four new stations that opened in October 2025 as part…read moreof the Skyline Segment 2 extension. The station itself is beautiful, while plain and basic simultaneously. It's really nicely themed red-brick to match the industrial feel of the Mapunapuna / Airport Industrial Business District. One bad thing is that there are only elevators and stairs, so if the elevators are down, you will have to climb or decend four flights of stairs. The elevators were already broken on opening weekend!!! One unique feature is the bike storage inside the paid area, but unlike Makalapa Station, you have to ask an attendant to open the bike storage door for you. This is also the new transfer point for express buses to Downtown, UH Mānoa, and Waikīkī. The A Line is the shortened A Express we know and love that now terminates here and runs express to Downtown via the H-1 throught its original route to UH Mānoa. The U Line is a new once-hourly express directly to UH Mānoa on Dole Street and terminates at Market City Shopping Center; very useful for UH Students. Then, the W Line replaces the old Route 20 that is a now limited-expesss bus through Nimitz Highway directly into Waikīkī. Instead of 1.5 hours from Airport to Waikīkī, it's now 40 minutes on the W Line. There is nothing much within walking distance besides Keʻehi Lagoon Park, but as of now, this is available vital stop for express buses headed east for now while we wait for Segment 3 to open in Downtownm

This transit center is right near Mililani Town center, making it convenient and giving easy access to the town center if you don't have car. I really like this transit center because if I head over to Mililani town center, I can just easily catch the bus from Mililani transit center to my house rather than walking.

Where it starts Kualak'ai in East Kapolei…read more.. Though it starts here there's no park and ride but it seems some had made some right along the station but not sure it's allowed. The point of use is to have a park and ride or bus stop nearby for majority of the locals here so maybe with suggestion and input we may see more improvements to make this worth the use. Over the course I've seen many loved ones left behind as the doors close very fast so make your decisions and if it's your stop get up and be ready to exit as the doors aren't as close as you think when it's your turn. Hope many got a chance to ride not cause it's free but to get the experience and see how it can benefit you to save time, gas and enjoy the view! Thank you!
