When the center was first opened there were restrooms for both the men and women to use. With my most recent layover visit at the transit I noticed that both restroom facilities were padlocked. However, there is always security present. I've witnessed a few times where they had to ask a mentally ill person who's been tripping since the early 60's to leave & sleep it off. The buses run pretty much on schedule, the drivers are nice & informative. They drive like a bat out of hell so if you see them coming get the F out of their way. Today (Friday), we arrived around noon and were greeted by a security staff member who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and provided excellent customer service. He patiently answered all of our questions and made us feel welcome. The ride to the airport took about 18-19 minutes. We did a practice walk from the station to the Hawaiian/Alaska Airlines check-in area, and it was very easy to navigate thanks to the clear directional signs along the way. Afterward, we hopped back on the rail, rode to the last two stations just for fun, and then headed back to Ho'opili. The entire round trip took about an hour. Overall, it was a smooth, clean, and enjoyable experience, and we look forward to riding again.

While not a terribly long walk, the SkyCab is great for shoppers who have many kids in tow. The SkyCab features four separated compartments, each with its own AC unit. Each compartment can hold many people. It can seat about 6 to 8 people comfortably with two poles in the middle for the people standing to hold onto for balance. Rides used to go for $0.50 one way, but prices has risen to $1.00 per ride due to high electricity costs and lack of interest. Because the mall is split up into three parts, Pearlridge provides a service that takes shoppers from one side to the other via a security vehicle that seats about 10. Because this service is free of charge for the rider, many opt to go this way. However, these vehicles don't run on a schedule and have limited seats, so many will find themselves walking. Since there is a lack of interest in taking the SkyCab, riders who do choose this option may find that they have a cool, spacious cab all to themselves. When this happens, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the peacefulness of the moment.

The husband works for the DOE so he knew the logistics of purchasing a Holo card prior to our adventure. Stopped by at a local 7-11 to grab adult Holo cards (kids Holo cards are NOT available at the stations and can only be purchased at Satellite City Hall or the transit centers). Luckily my boys were under the age limit, so no cards were needed for them. Adult rides are about $3 each way and factoring in our transfers, we were looking at around $7.50 per person. We drove from town to the Pearlridge station, then parked at the Park and Ride lot. About 14 stalls were available, visible and conspicuous from the main road. NO bathrooms at the stations. Trains run every 10 minutes. A friendly attendant was there to keep the premise safe and answer any questions. Trains were clean, safe, and well maintained. We were one of the few families riding the rail which made for a relaxing first experience! If they completed the line to end at Ala Moana, that would have been so convenient. If not in our lifetime, perhaps our boys will see it before their retirement! Lol
