All of that food for a very reasonable price, I'm looking forward to returning.

We each got margaritas - I got a habanero one and he got a strawberry one. Mine was literally one of the best margaritas I've ever had, and I'm pretty picky about them. Super spicy (which I love) and basically not sweet at all (also a plus). My boyfriend thought his was great too. The complimentary salsa has a really nice kick to it and I couldn't stop eating it. Then I ordered the shrimp fajitas, but asked for it spicy (there's a theme here) and the waiter said he added a chipotle sauce to them when they came out. Insanely insanely delicious. Only complaint was that the shrimp tasted very.. fishy? Almost frozen or not fresh, but I ate it all regardless. And there's something about the refried beans here - they're addicting. My boyfriend doesn't even like beans and ate them all. So so good. Also, our waiters were super nice and attentive and made it feel very cozy. Would come back plenty more time to try some other stuff!

Located in a small homey town which was pretty we decided to have some Mexican cuisine. Boy there was lots of options! The beef tacos could have used a little bit more seasoning because it came bland to me. However, the chicken taco was much better. We ordered the quesadilla which came out first and then it took some time for my food to come. I don't know if they thought that was an appetizer, but it would've been nice if they had checked up on us. However, I'd like to go back and try the other food options.

Authentic Taste of El Salvador - A Hidden Gem…read more We were on the hunt for authentic pupusas and struck gold with this small, hole-in-the-wall spot that delivers big on flavor and tradition. With an extensive menu full of classic Salvadoran options, we ultimately chose the pupusas revueltas, filled with chicharrón (pork rinds), frijoles (beans), and cheese. They were freshly made, so we did wait about 35 minutes--but it was absolutely worth it for the taste and quality. The accompanying green and red sauces were excellent complements, though a word to the wise: the red sauce (which is more orange in color) packs serious heat. If you love spicy food, you're in for a treat--but it might deserve a little PSA for the uninitiated! They also offer a wide selection of aguas frescas. I tried the jamaica (hibiscus juice), and it was refreshing and flavorful. The prices are very affordable, the portions generous, and beyond pupusas, the restaurant offers a variety of Salvadoran snacks, candies, chips, and even ice cream--perfect for anyone wanting to relive the flavors of home. A special thanks to Brenda, who curated a playlist of classic cumbia music that gave the whole experience a warm and nostalgic vibe. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone craving authentic Salvadoran food.

They have a nice selection of pupusas, plus a full menu of entrees, an assortment of drinks, and a few dessert options. I ordered two pupusas revueltas, atol de elote, and tres leches cake. The pupusas were perfect, crisp with delicious filling. They're served with a fresh slaw and tasty sauce. The atol de elote was fantastic, served piping hot, it featured sweet corn flavor and a great mouthfeel. The tres leches cake was a wonderful version, the icing was great and the cake texture was perfect to absorb just the right amount of "leches". Prices were very reasonable. Looking forward to returning for more of the same dishes and to try the entrees!

Happy hour is another story: the selection is pretty slim, so don't arrive expecting a bargain bonanza. But Wednesday night trivia at 7 PM is genuinely fun and worth checking out. The food is solid Irish pub fare- fish & chips, shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, Irish lamb stew and other comfort-food classics that goes straight to one's hips. Is happy hour going to overwhelm you with choices? Also nope. But good people, decent food and a lively trivia night go a long way
