The food was delicious and the staff were all quick and friendly ! Very clean and classy setting ! We sat upstairs so keep that in mind you will need to go up a flight of stairs. Besides that everything tastes very traditional and full of flavor!

First time in the area and wanted to grab a quick but delicious bite. Found this gem on YELP and it did not disappoint, service was great and food was amazing. Staff went out of their way to make a matcha latte after the cafe had closed. Very much appreciated! But the setting and decor was so cute, my daughter and I enjoyed our dinner and time together in their pretty dining area.

Visited for the first time for dinner. Restaurant has been nicely remodeled since it was a Pho place below. Just be sure you can get up stairs as the restaurant is upstairs. Service was attentive and pleasant. Food was good. Definitely worth trying the chicken satays. My son enjoyed his curry. The ribs and Pad Thai were not quite what we expected but were still tasty. Overall a good restaurant. F&B is a guard gig in Solvang as it's a small town.

Unlike most of the places in solvang, this place is not dog-friendly FYI. Parking is across the street in the public parking lot. I also don't know if they have an elevator here (for the wheel chair crew) since you have to go upstairs to the dining room area. My experience here was great, thank you to the front desk girl with curly hair for making the arrangement to allow our service dog inside since it was raining. We did not go to the dining room area for this reason. We were sat downstairs by the lobby / bar area and the servers brought our food downstairs to us. Ended up ordering a couple items; Shrimp Rolls: 4/5 - the wonton wrap was a nice touch, crunchier than your typical egg rolls. The sweet and spicy side sauce was great too. Chicken Fried Rice: 4/5 - nice and flavorful, maybe a little too salty if you are sensitive to flavor, but overall a great dish Chicken Pad See Ew: 3/5 - My least favored of all the dishes here. Great flavor but it was lacking the sweetness that a Pad see ew usually has Chicken yellow curry: 4.5/5 - Great flavor in this one. Nice and spicy, rich and coconuty. Could use more potatoes :) Pork spare ribs: 4/5 - Not your typical Thai pork spare ribs. I'm familiar with the sweet-sticky ribs that are usually glazed but these were not sticky or sweet by any means. Great flavor still, and the marinade was good with the rice Shrimp Tom Yum Soup: 5/5 - Flavorful and sour, does not serve more than one person unless you're trying to have a tasting lol. They need to offer a pot of this on their menu, very delicious Overall I would definitely come back here, thank you to the bartender at the V lounge for recommending this spot (he said he's been here 4 times in the past month.) Highly recommend ordering the Tom Yum Soup and Yellow Curry here !

Kanok is a bit of a hidden gem in Solvang. There's a bar downstairs with some small seating and the main restaurant is upstairs. They had a pretty good flow of guests so I definitely recommend making a reservation. The service was great, with friendly and attentive staff, the food was tasty and came out pretty quickly. They also have good drink options, including beer, sake, and local wines. We came with a group of six, and they offered to split the bill ahead of time, which was a thoughtful touch and really appreciated (especially since it's not something I usually even ask for). Overall, an, enjoyable experience and love that theirs a new Thai place in Solvang!

This place is awesome! I was SO excited to learn we were getting a Thai restaurant in Solvang and I love Tap Thai in Santa Barbara, which Kanok is affiliated with, so I knew this place would be delicious. The menu has the Thai favorites we love and we opted to try a few different options- dumplings, curry, and noodles. Everything was incredible. We were able to get a table right away on a Friday evening. They've decorated the space well. Such a nice ambiance. No dedicated parking but Solvang offers street parking and some lots. My only reason for giving 4 stars is that it took a while to place our order and we ran out of water without any offer to refill our glasses. Hoping the service will be better the next time we go. Highly recommend this spot!

Good Thai food, nothing groundbreaking but good enough. A change from eating baked goods in Solvang. Give it a try!

I walked into Copenhagen Sausage Garden in Solvang totally expecting a standard German beer garden…read moresetup. Total miscalibration on my part. Turns out, it's distinctly Danish--and yeah, that actually matters. They serve traditional Danish Rød Pølse alongside a bunch of family-recipe sausages, so you can throw your standard German bratwurst baseline right out the window. The flavor profiles are completely different. If you're going, getting the sausage sampler is the only correct experimental design. You get multiple formulations in the same operating environment for immediate side-by-side comparison. It lets you actually isolate the variables--salt, smoke, spice, fat content, casing snap. Some are super mild, others pack a huge punch. And that massive condiment station? It basically acts as a post-processing module. You're taking the same sausage substrate, altering the surface chemistry with mustard and kraut, and getting a totally different output. But honestly, the best part of this place requires zero scientific analysis: cold beer, hot meat, big bites, repeat. Grabbing a giant pint from their huge tap list and claiming a spot at the outdoor communal tables is just a damn good time. Oh, and definitely integrate the giant pretzel into your system. Salt + starch + beer is a mature technology that's already survived centuries of European process validation. No further optimization required--don't mess with perfection. Don't come here looking for fine dining; evaluating it that way completely misses the point. Come for the sampler, the massive pretzels, and the laid-back Solvang patio vibes. As a platform for eating sausage, drinking beer, and hanging out, it operates at peak efficiency. Dr. C Field Process Validation Sausage Formulation: Multi-Variable Beer Selection: High Throughput German Reference Standard: Rejected Operator Satisfaction: Above Specification

We kept it simple and ordered the Bratwurst, which is one of their most popular sausages. It came on a bun and took around 10 minutes to come out. The sausage itself was decent, with a peppery, smoky flavor that I enjoyed, especially paired with the spicy brown mustard. Unfortunately, the bun was extremely dry and really took away from it for me. I eventually just removed the bun and enjoyed the sausage on its own, which made it much better. Overall, I'm glad I tried Copenhagen Sausage Garden since it's part of the experience when visiting the area, but the food itself wasn't particularly memorable to me. I think it's worth checking out once if you're curious, but I personally wouldn't come back specifically for it.

Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She gave us a couple of recommendations off the menu and boy, she was not wrong. My kiddos ordered their own pizzas, both were so delicious. The cheese on the pepperoni, wow! The mushrooms on the other, delish! Both straight out of the oven, baked perfectly. The crust had the ideal crunch on the outside and soft baked texture of the dough on the inside. I recommend either one of these pizzas..delicious! I ordered the Prime Rib Dip...amazing! The flavors- you taste it all! The prime rib just melts in your mouth, this was absolutely delicious. This dish comes with fries which were well seasoned and hot. I highly recommend. My husband ordered a breakfast dish that came with a side of bacon and house potatoes. Fries were perfectly seasoned and golden crisp on the outside with a nice soft texture on the inside. So good. Restaurant gets busy especially in the evening. If you want to dine alfresco, they offer patio seating with a bonus of live music...The ambiance in the patio is amazing, have your camera on standby. If you're visiting the area, this is a really nice spot. I highly recommend. Enjoy!

Our server Hally greeted us the moment we sat down. I asked her for an appetizer recommendation and she immediately named three with no hesitation, no hedging, no "everything's good here." We landed on the calamari and the Truffle Gnocchi, and that gnocchi was the surprise of the night. Not a lot of places do gnocchi at all, much less one built this well. Spinach dumplings, grilled artichokes, and a black truffle cream sauce that stayed balanced instead of heavy. Exquisite is not close. We both ordered the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked and tender enough to cut with a fork. Hally checked on us the whole night without ever being pushy or hovering. She was warm, welcoming, and completely professional; the kind of server who clearly takes pride in her work and is a real asset to the ownership team. This meal alone would bring us back to Solvang.

Kudos to the restaurant for addressing many of the issues we experienced previously! We started with the CAESAR SALAD, added chicken, and asked for it extra chopped. It was excellent. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and we especially enjoyed the added sunflower seeds, which gave the salad a nice texture and something a little different. The PARKER HOUSE ROLLS were fine, although we still feel that for $11, the serving should include more than two rolls. The PAN SEARED SCALLOPS were absolutely delicious--nicely seared and served with a corn salad/pudding that complemented them beautifully. The STUFFED BAKED POTATO was another standout. It was almost like a unique take on a twice-baked potato, with a wonderfully crispy skin and a generous amount of bacon and baked cheddar. Sour cream and butter were served alongside it. We've never had a baked potato prepared quite this way, and it was absolutely delicious. The STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING was the finishing touch. It was good, although we would have loved a little more caramel sauce. We also really enjoyed the ambiance. We sat in a comfortable booth with a nice view toward the front of the restaurant. Our booth had some interesting artwork with an old-man-of-the-sea feel, along with fishing lures and other nautical touches. The darker, moodier feel of the booth and the warm lighting gave the space a lot of character and made it a really comfortable place to settle in for dinner. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and we were very impressed by how much our experience improved from our first visit. It's always nice to see a restaurant respond to issues and get things right. We will definitely be back!
