Ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl. It came with rice, chicken, and 2 gyozas. The chicken was very dry. There was lots of sauce on the food but still very dry. I wouldn't recommend. The gyoza was good though.

Food was good quality and tasty. Especially liked the bulgogi bowl and cucumber salad. The fries and chicken were good with the right amount of crunch. Wasn't totally sold on the curry flavor but it was pretty good. Desserts looked awesome but we were too full to try them. Portions were good size for the price and appreciated all the sauces alongside the meals. Would stop here again if I was coming through town.

Food was delicious! Elote style Korean dog has great flavor! We also ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl & a katsu bowl to go. The Oreo croffle was my favorite over the Reese's. But I'm not a big fan of peanut butter.

I was lucky to find this place while scrolling for a good lunch place in Madera, and this is one gem you won't want to miss! The sign outside advertises the place as having Korean & Japanese comfort foods. My friends and I visited in on a Tuesday afternoon, and there was only two other people in the dining room. Upon walking in, we were met with kind service in a timely manner, and the worker offered to answer any questions that may arise. They also have Hot-N-Ready meals such a chicken with sticky rice next to the register if you're looking for a quick meal to-go. The main dish that drew me to this restaurant was their chicken katsu sando. I haven't heard of any other places in the area with something like that, and it did not disappoint The toast of the chicken katsu sando is wonderfully crunchy and pairs nicely with the cucumber salad. It also comes with a side of spicy kewpie mayo, but it's definitely drenched in enough of the katsu & teriyaki sauces on its own. If you're just in the mood for a light lunch, I would definitely recommend splitting the sandwich with someone else, as it comes in a pretty big portion. We also tried the Biscoff croffle, a delicate combination of two of the best pastries. They make the croffles fresh in store, so you can expect a warm, cozy treat that exudes Biscoff goodness. Overall, we left this establishment with full bellies (and happy souls!) :)

Yelp to the rescue once again! Had thought about checking Kanojo out in a previous trip but didn't make it, a colleague did and liked it. So decided to go for lunch. One word- delicious! I opted to get one of the specials - beef bulgogi ($12.99). The meat was nice and tender. It came with two dumplings and some kimchi all atop rice. It was a great price and portion size was really good. I would definitely go back.

Food is good. I'd go back for the Egg Sando; it had a savory taste to it and was unique. They don't skimp on the filling, and the bread was buttery and toasted just right. The spicy mayo sauce complimented the egg very well. Also had the katsu chicken sando, wish there was more sauce in it, but overall, good. It had a decent size piece of chicken in it. The Corn Cheese Fritters were good too if you're into that kind of thing. You could customize the sauce you want drizzled on it; it comes with spicy mayo..I should've added something sweet like sweet chili sauce as well! Small seating area, good for 2-3 people. I took my order to-go. Food came out rather quickly: 15 minutes. Not too bad. Overall if I'm in the area, I'd check them out again just for the egg sando alone!

Off the hook, Madera! It is outstanding. I've never eaten food like this. They call them K-dogs. You pick a batter and a filling. They look like corn dogs. If you like district fair food...omg... This is the place for you. I felt like I was in deep fried heaven. I got the one full of mozzarella and it was like a giant cheese stick. The batter/coating is the bomb. I got the original sugar batter. Their spicy mayo is perfect with this. My friend got the elote one. We also ordered their fries and dumplings (goyza). Every single thing was outrageously yummy. I've been looking for food and fries like this for years!!! You've got to try them!! #fatteningfun #DeliciousEats

4/20/24 Getting lunch! Chicken Katsu Sando ordered. The worker was Great and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I went in to get it. Greeted upon entering. Cute little restaurant with nice music playing. Order was ready. Paid for it and the workers were kind. Happy to bag it and hand it over. Lunchtime! Sandwich split. Perfect size to split! My half was Really Delicious & nice change from the normal! Great sauce with the fresh cucumber and everything else in it! Tasty!! Mother said her half was Great too! Great service & Great Chicken Katsu Sando! Highly recommended!

I've ate at their restaurant a couple of times now and I must say that their food is stellar! I've had their Katsu Curry Bowls (mostly their pork bowls and most recently their Chicken) and I must say that they are fantastic! The service was rather quick and the ambience of the restaurant was pretty good too!

    Love the mural!

Ya'll! Run don't walk to try this place! I don't know how I've gone this long without knowing it was here! Great service and super tasty food! My personal favorite was the Chicken Katsusando :)! Such a delicious meld of flavors! Can't wait to go back!

It's dark, almost like a ghost town. There was barely anyone there, and it made me question if I was in the right place. That should've been my first red flag, but I was still hopeful, so I decided to give it a try. The menu looked promising, but the experience quickly went downhill. The meats didn't taste fresh at all. Some cuts were tough, and others had a weird aftertaste, almost like they'd been sitting around too long. For a place that prides itself on BBQ, I expected way better quality. And don't even get me started on the service. It was basically non-existent. The staff didn't seem interested in being there, and we were ignored for long stretches of time. It felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. No refills, no asking if we needed anything, no checking in to see how our meal was. For a KBBQ, that's a huge miss. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't deliver on the basics, good food and decent service. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

The portions aren't quite as large as they used to be, which is not a bad thing, but the quality of the flavor has also been compromised. I love the Yaki Udon and usually get it spicy. All their food is always made fresh to order and with lots of love. Service: The service is great! We are always immediately seated and offered drinks within the first few minutes upon entering. Throughout the meal, we weren't checked on. I wish they would put water pitchers on the table for the customers so we wouldn't have to always ask for a water refill. Unfortunately, there have been times where my family and I have gone but it's so busy and we never got refills for waters. Ambiance: Great, cozy, warm atmosphere. They have large flat screen tvs that usually play compilation videos on them. I wish they synced the tvs up to play kdramas or kpop on them instead. Every time I've gone, the tvs are usually turned off or playing funny/meme compilations from YouTube. I think many of their customers would enjoy a Korean show while eating Korean food! Maybe even play some mukbangs, as many young people nowadays enjoy watching those! My family and I are regulars, and we will always be back to support our favorite local Korean restaurant!

This place has been in my regular rotation since they opened and I have never had a bad meal here…read more The concept is a family style hot pot restaurant where you cook your own protein, vegetables or noodles in a flavored brother. You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

There was multiple laminated menus on the table. Looked like each table seated 6, each with a grill and overhead exhaust vent. I could not hear any exhaust vent fans. Noise level was normal for a restaurant this size and a conversation could easily be had with other people at the table. With 2 people, able to order 3 meats at a time. Meats are brought out promptly and soda was refilled frequently. The grill tops were replaced frequently during the meal. The bad. It gets SMOKEY!!!! Not sure what's wrong with their exhaust, but it does not seem to work very well. The floor gets greasy slippery (I was wearing non stick shoes and was able to easily slide on the floor). The overhead exhaust fan... grease constantly dripped from the vent on the grill. They are obviously were not cleaned before that dinner service... we left smelling like we had sat in a bbq smoker. Because of that I would not recommend wearing nice clothes to this place unless you want them to smell like bbq for the next while. The bulguli was amazing!! I would skip on the ny steak. The chicken was surprisingly good. If you have never cooked seafood on a grill like that, you may want to skip the squid and octopus. The pork belly was basically thin sliced bacon. If I returned, I would stick with beef bulguli, spicy pork bulguli, and brisket or spicy bbq chicken. The spicy was not that spicy. Maybe a 2 out of 10. Like jalapeño spicy. The food and service was excellent. The smoke... this makes me rethinking on returning...
