Hahaione Elementary School's Fun Fair was a huge success this year and the PTSA thanks The Perfect Wedding DJs for emceeing the event. As a Type A, super detailed and fussy style of bride, I can be tough to please. Now that our beautiful wedding is over and I can reflect on the entire experience, I can honestly say we would 100% choose Crichton again. He was one of the few vendors that exceeded my already high expectations. From our initial conversation with Crichton, I knew he would be fun and we loved that he was local too. He was one of our most responsive vendors (ideal for the Type As out there) and he has a total rockstar of an Executive Assistant, named Sara. She coordinated all of the contracts and payment deadlines and just checked in with us in the months leading up to our event. She's a total professional, who pays attention to details. We gave her our list of 15 totally obscure (yet meaningful) songs we wanted to hear during the dinner service THE NIGHT BEFORE our wedding. While we sat there with our friends and family, we heard those obscure songs playing softly in the background. Crichton also served as our MC flawlessly. So smooth and confident and hilarious. He's a consummate professional, yet exudes the chill island vibe you want at your wedding. His Assistant the night of our wedding was Russell. Oh Russell, what a gem. He's a combo of Hype Man and that one guy that can get everyone to dance at a wedding (including my dad who's never danced in his life!). Not only did the two of them put on an entertaining show under their DJ tent, they hit the dance floor! They were dancing with Aunties, leading us in the Cupid Shuffle...my own girlfriends kept asking them to dance with them. They are so charismatic, so fun and so professional. We were worried no one would dance at our reception. Crichton, and his The Perfect Wedding DJ's team, kept the reception flow running smoothly and on time, and they got our friends and family out of their seats and up dancing. Our organization had the pleasure of working with Crichton and his crew at one of our youth events in October 2017. The Silent Disco was the culminating event of a week-long camp for 40 high schoolers. I don't know who loved it more - the teenagers or the staff! Our teens were engaged and danced for the entire two hours to today's top hip hop and reggae music. And as for the staff, they appreciated the old school throwback jams and couldn't help but get on the dance floor themselves. Crichton and his team were great to work with. The company name says it's all. We had Crichton DJ our wedding and he really is THE Perfect Wedding DJ! His song choices kept everyone dancing all night long. I remember looking over at him when I was on the dance floor and he was smiling big and dancing himself! It was so wonderful to see him having a great time too and that contributes to the overall atmosphere when even your DJ is happy and looking like he is having a blast! Crichton added some special touches such as a voiceover for my dad which brought tears to many of our guests, and he also offers Dancing on the Clouds which gives you a feeling of dancing on clouds for our first dance and looks amazing in picture and videos. We are SO blessed to of had Crichton with us on our wedding day. He is such a talented person and has a wealth of music knowledge but beyond that his energy is just beautiful and the reason why people left saying they felt like the night was magic. Without knowing before hand, Crichton actually knew half of my wedding guests, which speaks to his presence in Hawaii and so many of my family and friends were overjoyed when they saw him there to DJ. Being a bit of a relaxed couple, we didn't have a lot of structure to our wedding but Crichton jumped in and helped coordinate the entire experience. Even when it started raining over my dance floor, he got my guests to create an indoor dining dance floor and kept everyones hearts full and beating through the entire night. We gave him a pretty varied song list for dinner music and dance music. We had a big wedding with a lot of high expectations among family members. I'm happy to report that Crichton hit this one out of the park and everything went great! There was even a moment where we had a technical problem with the sound for a photo slideshow and we were unable to play the music we intended. Crichton immediately stepped in and saved the day by improvising and playing music over our slides - it was great! Most people didn't even notice there was a problem. Other than that we had a lot of song requests and we were debating for weeks leading up to the wedding what we wanted to hear and things that would/wouldn't be appropriate. I can honestly say that he chose all the right tunes and we had a great selection during dinner and a great dance floor. He also did a great job of MCing and keeping things fun for everyone. The name of the business really describes the experience you will have with Crichton and his team. Our wedding coordinator referred my wife and me to Crichton, so I was a bit hesitant in just accepting the option that we had, during our research of several DJ vendors and speaking to some of them over the phone. My wife and I decided that The Perfect Wedding DJs was the best option. Our wedding was in beginning of June 2019, and now that we have settled in on marriage life, we actually provide a honest and post wedding perspective review. From the first conversation we had with Crichton, we were amazed on how professional and relaxed he was. When we say relaxed, it's relaxed in a good way. Not in a, "whatever" type of attitude, but more so in a way, were he been doing this for a long time and he can guide you through the process in a relaxed mood. During the one year of planning this wedding, we made contact with Crichton several times and he really does go out of his way to connect with you. From time zone, weekday, and holidays, he will do whatever it takes to accommodate to your schedule. I recall several times where we had to connect with him for just a question or two and he never made it seem like we were pestering him. His vibes on all the calls were just upbeat and enthusiastic. At some point I felt like it was his wedding. When arrived about a week before our wedding, Crichton wanted to meet us in person and we were thrilled to do so as well. We ended up talking for several hours just because we had some common interested and because he just a easy going person. During our meeting we were unsure about something for the wedding and he provided his advice and recommendation. He also referred us to a couple of last minute vendors, but we never felt pressured to hire them. The day of the wedding was just prefect. Crichton is a nature in emceeing; all his jokes seem genuine and not rehearsed. We also notice that every time we talking to Crichton, either over the phone or in person, he remember something about that conversation and he ties it back during his emceeing. He also took the time to give our guest a bit of insight on some of the vendors that we had to show the guest extend of time we put into planning the wedding for our guest to enjoy the vendor more. That's just shows you his attention to details and craftsmanship. During the reception he also played a couple of songs that we did not put on the playlist, but we mention to him while we were talking and he knew that we liked it, even though our guest may have not been the biggest fan of that kind of music. Also the way he transition between songs were so smooth in a way all the music just flow naturally. When we go back home our phone and Facebook page just blew up with comment about how great the DJ/EC was and that Crichton really took the wedding to the next level. Excellent service. Very adaptive to the different musical/entertainment situations I had. I like how easy it is to select the type of music that the DJ will be playing. He was also an awesome MC, he kept the wedding going smoothly and my guest loved him. Crichton and his bro Travis seriously live up to their name The Perfect Wedding DJs!!! We had a destination wedding (from cali) at Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute. When my husband and I were looking for wedding DJs we really wanted them to be able to get the guests dancing while also keeping flow of the wedding timeline. We interviewed 3 other DJs and the minute I got on the phone with Crichton i KNEW he was our guy!!!! We spoke on the phone for 2 hours about music, my perfect wedding vision, and how he and Travis work. Right when you speak to him you immediately get good vibes!! My husband and I were planning a destination wedding in Hawaii and had to do all of our initial searching for vendors online. You can scour the internet and do your due diligence, but in the end, you really don't know what you're getting until you talk with them. We hired The Perfect Wedding DJs for our wedding ceremony, and they did a wonderful job. We worked with Chrichton Uale in getting our song list together and he was great. We didn't get to meet the DJ (I think his name was Kalei) on the wedding day unfortunately because we were so busy, but he did a fantastic job. The processional songs were timed perfectly and faded in and out right on the dot. Also, all of our pre and post ceremony songs were played and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Sometimes you don't realize how important the small details are with music until the day of comes. To put the icing on the cake, these guys are very affordable too!
