They are half the price if not more of the hotel properties staff and most people are not even aware that they have options outside of the hotel. IMF has all of the required insurance etc. to be able to work inside most if not all hotels and venues. They work on events state wide but operate like a mom and pop. They truly care. We almost cancelled our event as the audio visual was so expensive it wouldnt have made sense. Ian saved our annual event and went above and beyond. My fiancé received a gift card from IMF Visions for a free proposal video after purchasing my engagement ring from The Wedding Ring Shop. When he bought the ring he was told he could use it towards an engagement session. So after the proposal, I called and tried to make arrangements. I spoke to the owner and he told me that they would honor the gift card with an engagement session but to shoot him a text because he was on the road at the time and he would get back to me, so I did. Almost 3 weeks later, I followed up because I never heard back from anyone. Three days later, I received a text back apologizing and was told that they are extremely busy this time of year and the photographer just sent me a text. No text from the photographer that day and as of this post (one week later). This gift card may have been a deal they had with the Wedding Ring Shop when they were first getting started and now they don't need the exposure/business, I'm not sure. We hired IMF Visions as our videographer because they have extensive experience in the wedding industry. IMF Visions is also the only company that does same day edits, and are actual same day edits. You see from getting ready to midway to the reception. I've seen the work of IMF Visions before and they do outstanding work. Having a same day edit was my non negotiable must have at the wedding. We reached out to Ian. He set up a phone call so he could gather information about us and the aesthetic we are wanting. Our venue, the Kahala Hotel & Resort works with IMF Visions a lot so no deposit was needed as we would be billed through the hotel. A couple of weeks before the wedding Ian reached out and we had another chat regarding aesthetic, music and things that means a lot to us to have recorded. Wedding day comes, Ian and his team Bruce and Rachel arrive in my hotel room. They set up what they need to. I was clear on no triple chin action on video please take any video from a higher angle. They understood my request. Rachel was so nice she said what I think are my insecurities no one can see or tell. Her camera didn't show anything. Bruce and Rachel prompted when doing the voiceovers, it was never awkward silence. They checked on my husband and said he was having a good time, and recorded his voiceover. Ian, Bruce and Rachel continue to record throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. We did have a sign letting guests know it was an unplugged wedding. You spend the money hiring a photographer and videographer you want the professionals to capture everything. Much more than what an iPhone can capture. When it came to the time to show the same day edit, my husband and I were so impressed. We loved every minute of it. Our guests were blown away because they've never been to a wedding where a same day edit was shown. Especially when you have a wedding at the Kahala, a same day edit I feel is necessary. Ian sent me the same day edit the next day to post on all my social medias giving everyone a teaser before we get the 10 minute highlight video. Update 08/07/23: I met up with Ian to pick up the external hard drive with all the raw footage. We're talking story and if he'll be at the Kahala Showcase on 08/19/23. He told me he won't as IMF Visions will be doing the Made in Hawaii Festival. I told Ian maybe I would see him there. He was so sweet and said he would get me tickets. We just had a destination wedding in Honolulu in May 2018 and hired Ian and his team as our wedding videographers and so happy we did. During the whole wedding process, Ian is one of the easiest vendors to work with! He is super responsive. During pre-planning Ian was able to meet with us and see the venue during the short time we were there in Jan. We went over our vision and discussed the game plan and our only homework from him was to pick a song we want to use in our video (if we cared about the music). We sent him the song 1 month prior to the big day. On the day of, Ian and his team showed up on time and beautifully captured our wedding ceremony. We definitely think it's worth including the drone shots - it was one of my favorite part of the video seeing our guests and the venue from up top. It is breathtaking. We worked with Ian and IMF team to record our parent's burial service at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. It was produced to allow family, who couldn't make it in person, to view the service. IMF did a spectacular video that captured the beauty of the Punchbowl and the full military honors that was provided to our dad and mom. IMF Visions was on the preferred vendor list at the Kahala. After seeing their great reviews on yelp and the knot, my wife decided to book them. Since we were having a very small(22 guests) destination wedding, we got their 3min video package with an addition hour of coverage. We got our initial video about 3-4weeks after the wedding. The song my wife chose didn't quite fit our video, it sounded like porno music from the 50s, lol. Ian was kind enough to change the music and made a couple of changes for us.
