My husband was especially impressed with how organized and on top of things they were--using headsets to communicate throughout the day so nothing was missed. We had a few small timeline hiccups due to unforeseen traffic, and they handled everything with such calm professionalism, adjusting the photography timeline on the fly while keeping things moving smoothly. They were never overly "in your face," which we really appreciated, yet somehow still managed to capture the most beautiful, genuine moments. Fell in love with their work after seeing a same day edit at a friends wedding and I was pretty much set on having them do our wedding. We booked them pretty far in advance because they fill up fast and only take on so many events per month. We had so much fun shooting our wedding, we had some special request on how we wanted the video to be "different" and incorporate our personalities into the film and they were happy to accommodate all of it! Glenn and his team were super the day of our wedding. They were very accommodating, easy to work with, and overall great people. Initially, when we were trying to be in contact with them, they had some complications with their email system, so if you don't hear back, you should definitely follow up and reach out to them again. Follow up via email isn't as quick as you may hope, but don't let that discourage you. I think they are just so busy with editing, etc, it probably gets really difficult to manage all of the communication. The day of your event, they totally come through, and do an excellent job. Wedding Date: 01/07/2017 *Please keep in mind that before you read this review, words alone cannot express our gratitude to Glenn, Matt and the rest of the crew at Red Ring Studios. This review starts with expressing how completely nuts we were for wanting to plan a wedding on a 4 week notice. *Yes, retarded. One of the biggest decisions a couple makes when getting married is deciding whether to hire a videographer/photographer. Because our venue was outdoors on a beautiful beachfront private estate, we absolutely knew we had to catch everything on film and of course, we had to have a drone for it all. And so our manic search began. Our wedding coordinator had initially recommended someone who we were quick to be informed that they were unavailable for our event, however, they were so kind to recommend Red Ring Studios. My fiancé wasted no time inquiring via email. We immediately received a response from Glenn who quickly stated they were available!! We couldn't believe it. Glenn had provided us all the information we were looking for and we were so impressed by all the previous work they have done. Talk about talent! Glenn insisted that we chat on the phone so that he could get a better idea of what we were looking for. Our phone convo went great! He was so easy to talk to! Again, he answered all of our questions and had so many great ideas. He offered to do a video/photog package that was at reasonable cost and was able to work with us as far as time length too. Next was our meet up. I was able to meet up with Glenn at Starbucks on Ward (I changed the location last minute because my Kia died on me). Upon meeting Glenn, he was so nice!!! Gave me a big warm hug upon meeting. We sat and chatted about the wedding and of course I got to know more about him and he got to know more about me (so of course, we both went on 'portagee mode') and ended chatting longer than anticipated (that's always a great sign!). WEDDING DAY! Glenn and the rest of the crew were already there on site by the time the wedding party got there. My fiancé and I both agreed that we wanted RRS to feel comfortable and most of all let the creativity be up to them. The only thing we required of them was ALOHA SHIRTS & RUBBAH SLIPPAHS! This always puts a smile on these local boys faces. As our day went, we let them do their thing. Not for a moment, did we feel that we were being rushed to do anything particular for shoots and they were so mindful and respectful the entire time from getting dressed, to the first look, the ceremony, to the end of the night. With most videographers and photographers, most turn around times take a while. But when RRS says they'll have it done in a certain amount of time, they truly mean it. They told us 2 weeks, and BOOM! We got our final video in 2 weeks. The most awesome thing is they did a 'Highlight Video' that we received during that two week interim, and boy was that a TEASER! Talk about awesome work! They covered EVERYTHING! The drone caught every inch of beauty the estate had to offer and more. I have to tell you, the relationship between your vid/photog peeps is very important. These guys felt more like family to us rather than just some people you hired to do a job. We've never seen such talent and creativity! I really can't say enough how much we love Red Ring Studio. I had seen their video's on instagram and have been watching them for a few years. Visited them at the wedding expo this past summer and their booth was so great! They showcased their videos by having you sit down and watch with a pair of headphones. RED RING STUDIOS. If you want the "cookie-cutter", cut and paste, typical shots in a video/SDE, then this team isn't for you. Glenn and his team are top notch in this business. To simply put, they are Visionaries, Story-tellers, Unique, Creative, Original, Emotion Provoking and most importantly, FUN to work with. They just don't deliver videos, they evoke emotion captured onto films for couples to relive that very special day over and over AND over again. His films brings me to the edge of my seat, literally. I can't believe I never wrote our review. This is LONG overdue and I'm so very sorry! Wedding:10/4/18 Services used: Videography Red Ring Studios delivered a beautiful video. Everyone we got to work with were so kind and professional. Luckily for us, they were available about 6 weeks prior to our date. Our wedding was a daytime wedding and required a very early start for all of our vendors. They were kind enough to say it wasn't a problem, but I still feel bad about it inside haha. We love our videos and love to rewatch them from time to time. My only wish was that we sprung for the last few hours of coverage of our reception because we had some really great moments happen at the end that obviously didn't make it into our video. By that time our paid coverage time had ended a hour or two before. If you haven't seen their style, there is a small 'interview' portion in every video with the bride and groom. I loved this idea and it made them stand out among all the videographers we looked at. Looking back however, I wish I could've been prepared for the questions a little before hand-like an idea of what might be asked. I'm not a good 'think on my feet' kinda gal, and I really stumbled through it -pretty sure I dropped some curse words out of nervousness on accident. The magic of editing really helps haha. For instance when I watch my interview portion I cringe a little at what I said and know I wanted to word things a little better. I'm a big thinker before I say things, and when I feel nervous and don't have time to think it comes out like word vomit. Aside from all that, we have no regrets. Finding your vendors is largely based on does their style fit your style. If it does, then it's a great match, if not you'll never be happy with the outcome no matter how great the product might be. Red Ring Studios fit us exactly the way we wanted it to. We love our video and our family and friends love it too. Glenn and his team really captured all the love in the day. People that don't know us personally and have seen our video, comment how much they felt it as well. I think if you can make strangers feel something, you're doing pretty darn good. Can't praise the work of Redring enough....they are the absolute best. My husband and I got married in September and to this day we watch our video at least once a day. We're from Los Angeles and we were nervous about choosing vendors remotely but are so happy that we chose Redring to film our special day. Here's why we love them- 1. They were extremely helpful. During our initial call with Glen, he even gave us tips regarding other areas/services for our wedding. Red Ring fucken Studio bra I met Glenn, the founder of Red Ring Studio during a trip to Hawaii. We have kept in touch and during another trip was able to view his work and discuss potential work for my wedding. While he knew I was still in the very beginning phases, he took the time to show me his work, techniques used, and explained his process, and even told me about the inspirations behind his current career. His style is very clean yet creative, and when I told him I kind of liked a throw back old school grainy shoots, he showed me some of those too. He walked me through the process in vivid detail and let's you know exactly how the process works. While hiring a videographer is a business, it is important to know the person behind the lens and get comfortable. It is hard to act normal when you have a dude with a high powered lens that than has the power to look beneath your pores into the depths of your soul following your ever move. Even worse is when you have a videographer who thinks he is Steven Spielberg, saying "cut" after every take. That would make anyone hot under the collar. Glenn is a super cool chap, chill as hell, and a brother. I can ask questions and not worry about being scoffed at. (SF hipster photographers can be very snobby). I have the utmost faith in him when he shoots our video. He is a kindred soul to all. I am conflicted as I want him to be in the audience also. Maybe we will compromise and strap a camera to his forehead so he can do both jobs. I know there are few reviews. All I can tell you to do is check out his website and give him a call. Even if you don't go with him, he will treat you as he does for every one of his customers. Glenn from Red Ring Studios was the perfect videographer for our simple wedding. We were on the fence about a videographer because we weren't sure if we could squeeze it into our budget. I emailed a few companies to get price quotes and Glenn was flexible and accommodating to our budget. I told him the amount we were willing to spend and we compromised on a "customized" package. We enjoyed working with Glenn because he is so personable, friendly, and very responsive. I would email him or text him and he would respond within 24 hours. During our wedding day, you wouldn't even know he was there--it could've been that we were in wedding bliss and was oblivious--yet, it made for the perfect "in the moment" wedding video. Also because of his great personality, he also worked well with our photographer. As for the video, he did a great job! He captured all the moments we previously discussed on the video. I used my wife's account to write this review, but I'm the one that had the pleasure of working with Glenn and Red Ring Studio. My experience is a bit unique from the other reviewers, as it wasn't wedding related. The company that I work for, 30k+ employees with 1,900+ locations, was presented with an opportunity to create a story with the team at the Kapiolani Medical Center. However, it was just a few days prior to the shoot date, so I emailed a number of the local production companies to check their availability. Glenn was one of the first to reply and offer to schedule time to discuss the project. After sharing the details with Glenn and listening to his thoughts, it was clear to me that we found the right partner. Thankfully, Glenn agreed to shoot the interviews and b-roll needed to create our story. I flew in to Honolulu the day of the shoot and headed directly to the Kapiolani Medical Center where I met Glenn. He came prepared with all of the necessary equipment as well as some unexpected cool production gear -- 3-axis gimbal and drone. Glenn was great to work with and very professional. The shoot went as well as we could have hoped for and much of that can be credited to Red Ring Studio. One additional thing that I feel is worth mentioning and illustrates the kind of person Glenn is and the level of service he provides to his clients. Since I literally took a taxi straight from the airport to the shoot, Glenn offered to drop me off at my hotel. This yelp review is long overdue. I got married May 2015 and hired Red Ring Studio for videography with same day edit, slideshow, and engagement video. I was so impressed and couldn't be any happier with their work, especially the same day edit (SDE)!!!! They managed to capture each memorable moment and it was perfectly highlighted in the SDE. I couldn't have asked for more!!!! My fiance (now hubby) and I met with Glenn and Matt a year prior and they were so easy going and professional. This review is long over due (about 5 months) I used to edit video many many moons ago, so I know how important it is to tell a story. Glenn and his team did a great job with framing and getting all those great angles (especially with the Drone!) All of their shots and editing skills created a Wedding Video that moved along and kept viewers entertained without any dead spots! Red Ring Studio was the best investment that my wife and I made for our wedding! I was fortunate enough to work with Glenn Alonzo and his team prior to our wedding as I was a groomsmen in one of the weddings he shot and as a guest to three other weddings. I was blown away by their quality of work and professionalism. Fast forward from those first interactions, my wife and I got engaged and I knew they'd be perfect to document our big day. We were a little over year away from our date and I told my wife that we needed to book them. My wife was shocked that I didn't want to meet with other vendors and that I was so sure. My wife and I met with Glenn for a consultation and decided to do both a Love Story and a Same Day Edit (SDE). Initially, I was hesitant to film a Love Story, however, I'm glad that we did! For the Love Story we worked with Glenn and Kenji. My wife and I had an absolute blast filming with them. They both kept it very fun and light hearted to keep us from getting nervous. We both had no previous experience being filmed and they coached us the whole way. Kenji and Glenn used a drone to get some epic shots of us and were very creative with the camera to get some great angles. Since we shot the Love Story a couple months prior to the wedding, it helped us to get really comfortable and familiar with them. For the day of the wedding, Glenn brought over the SDE team to execute the filming. Chloe and Matt were the other members and they also were very professional and friendly. We booked Red Ring for a full day package. Once again, shooting for the SDE mirrored the Love Story where it was very easy and fun. Glenn did a great job keeping us relaxed and loose. When the time came to show the Love Story and SDE to our guests, my wife and I were completely blown away! The video looked like a movie! What's crazier is that Chloe was able to piece together all of the footage from the day and make an amazing video! Everything from the song selection, drone footage, video edits, etc. all paired so well together. It really captured all the emotion of the day and helps evoke those emotions again in the viewer. Long after the wedding, our guests keep raving about how great the video was and how well it tugged on their heart strings. Many have commented that they cried while watching it. Even my wife has been watching it nonstop since the wedding. If you are in the market for a videographer for a wedding or any other event, I would highly recommend Red Ring Studio. And that isn't the only services they provided. I got a full highlight video of the ENTIRE day from 7am to midnight AND I got all the raw files as well. Glenn actually ran out and bought an external hard drive to put the raw files on so I didn't have to go get an external and drop it off to him (of course I paid for the external afterwards). But Glenn really takes care and made so many things convenient for us. They captured everything important that day without being intrusive. They are true professionals. Glenn has too much drive, determination, creativity and technical capabilities to ever produce anything less than a great product. Glenn is an amazing guy running an amazing company. I had the pleasure of working with Red Ring Studio for my wedding in February of 2015. The wedding was an over the top 300+ people affair so it was important to me that I had the best videographer on the island. The process of finding the best videographer was difficult because I found that a lot of people on the island were slow to reply to emails although having very professional websites and good reviews. So I asked our awesome photographer Kevin Lubera, whom we have worked with in the past, to recommend someone for us. Boy were we in luck!! Glenn and the other staff from Red Ring Studios arrived early and captured everything we wanted, they also experimented with drones which turned out to be an awesome perk! They really have a great eye and captured everything I could think of that I wanted to remember forever about our big day. The final product was MUCH MORE than we expected in terms of quality and composition. We still cry each time we watch it because it is so beautifully made. If you want to have an important event captured beautifully, I highly recommend Red Ring Studios! Don't bother to keep searching. read more

Whoever is reading this and debating if they should hire a wedding photographer... hire Red Ring Studio NOW! I cannot begin to explain how amazing Glenn and his whole team were for out wedding. We are more than happy with the finished product and are so thankful that we have an AMAZING video that will last forever. First, they are super professional and talented. They know what they are doing and they handle it all. Also, they had a freaking DRONE...what the heck! It was amazing and provided great footage. Our guests loved the drone and it was such a great feature in our wedding video. Second, our video was perfect. We loved sharing it with family and cried multiple times watching it (at least I did). I couldn't have asked for a better video and we will continue to share our video multiple multiple times. We love Red Ring Studio and we encourage any couples up there looking for a videographer to hire these guys. We debated for so long if it was worth the investment, and it is! Red Ring Studio is ahhhmaahhhzzzziinnng! We had so much fun with Glenn, Matt, Brenner, and the rest of his team! From the moment we met at Honu Bakery, I knew I would hire them. Why? Because Glenn loves baked goods and so do I! Haha! They made everything for us so comfortable and knew how to handle my crazy with such ease and grace. Now I really procrastinated with everything. EVERYTHING! I even added on my photo booth last minute which he was able to accommodate me with. My timeline was sent to Glenn 3 days prior to my wedding which is supposed to be sent way before that. There was some confusion with the timeline too but we were able to get things straightened through text, emails, or calls which were always answered right away. The longest I probably waited for a reply was 1 day. Another thing I procrastinated on was sending Glenn photos for my slideshow. I was supposed to send it 1 month prior to the wedding but I sent it to them 1 day before. Eeeek! And even if everything was super super super late, Glenn told me that he can do it....and he seriously did! But really brides and grooms, don't PROCRASTINATE or you will get the nickname of "Master Procrastinator". My SDE and slideshow was amazing! I was indecisive about my song choice for my same day edit and slideshow so I told Glenn to choose it. Im pretty sure I was late on choosing this also. I told him what kind of music we liked and his picks were seriously on point! Overall, my experience with Red Ring Studio was soooooo good. This review is long long overdue. I have to admit that I watched a ton of wedding videos from different videographers prior to getting engaged. Choosing Red Ring Studio was one of the best choices we made for our wedding!! The team at RRS was so professional from the moment we met Glenn to each of our shoots. Each of them made us feel so relaxed and comfortable- both my husband and I are introverts but they helped us to be ourselves to make a great video. We met them a few times prior to our wedding day so that on the actual day it seemed like it was just old friends following us around with cameras. You can tell that Glenn really cares about the finished product. He's up to date on all the latest technology- I think every time we met he wanted to show us his new "toy" that would get an even better shot. I can't tell you how nice it was that people who didn't even attend our wedding tell us they watched our wedding video and how amazing it was. Since the day we first made contact, Glenn was easy to talk to, made himself available to work with my schedule to schedule calls and gave us all the information we needed to move forward. We chose Red Ring Studio for their videography service because I've seen many highlight videos & fell in love. The big day came & they arrived bright & early. Glenn & Kenji were hard at work. They were professional, easy to talk to, and super hilarious to hang out with. The great thing is, it feels like you're hanging out with long time friends & they know how to take the awkwardness out of being recorded on your wedding day. The amazing team at Red Ring Studio shot our wedding and captured it so beautifully in our same day edit video. We can't stop watching it and can't wait for the full length version! The videographers that filmed and edited our video were so talented, professional, friendly, and easy to work with. It wasn't uncomfortable having them around and nothing was forced. They shot everything naturally as it was occurring, which I think is a really important aspect. After our same day edit video was played at our reception, our guests couldn't stop talking about it! EVERYONE commented on how amazing, beautiful, and/or awesome the video was. My husband and I were extremely impressed and so ecstatic with how the video turned out. We loved every aspect of it, the song, the editing, everything. It was more than anything we could have imagined. We also used Red Ring Studio's photo booth at our reception. We used the photo booth prints as our favors. It just set such a fun tone and provided some activity/entertainment for our guests. It also presented a way to look back on our wedding with some fun(ny) photos in addition to our traditional photos.
