From Above Entertainment went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely amazing! DJ LT has the smoothest transitions and kept the vibe going strong the entire night; our dance floor was never empty! Our emcee Cousin Reno is a master at his craft and can bring any room together. If you grew up local or want a little special Hawaii flavor in your wedding, I highly recommend you ask Cousin Reno to do his local intro. Both of these amazing entertainers were so kind and checked up on us throughout the night, making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The planning process was very smooth with no hiccups, and the uplights we rented from FAE were definitely worth it and brought the entire room together. We will be recommending this awesome team to all our friends. read more

We booked FAE as part of our package with the Charming Estate and couldn't have been happier with how the night went. Julie was in contact with us from several months before the wedding and their playlist builder app was easy to use and helped us plan out all the music we wanted. Our emcee was Sila and she was amazing! We had initially been on the fence about hiring an emcee but decided to do so last minute due to our large party size and we're so glad we did. Sila was great at keeping our guests organized and made sure the night ran smoothly. We got so many compliments from our guests about how she made the night so much fun! Our DJ was DJ Dynamx and he curated the perfect playlist for the dancing portion of our wedding. We gave him the vague guidelines of millennial hits and he definitely delivered! Our family and friends were commenting for days after about how great our music was! Thanks for making our wedding so much fun! read more

Julie is amazing and had great communication with us. They use a website to help plan the music and it's super organized. Our Emcee was Josh and he was SO HYPE and funny! He kept the vibe up and we received so many compliments. Our DJ was LT and he kept the vibe going on the dance floor all night! We also had a Photo Booth that our guests loved! We absolutely loved them for our wedding, everything went so smoothly and perfectly! Could not have asked for a better experience! read more

We heard about From Above Entertainment back when we attended a wedding and we loved Wes so much that we managed to grab his contact information and when the time came we booked FAE. The whole booking processed was easy and the team communicated very well and we were able to discussed what we wanted and since this was our destination wedding everything was done quickly and smoothly without any stress. What we booked: MCEE - A month prior to our wedding date Julie reached out and let us know that Wes wouldn't be able to MCEE due to a big event happening on the same date and that they would be sending Josh - Although we were bummed out Josh 1000000% exceeded our expectations my mom and aunt are still talking about Josh to this date and let's just say they love him and said he is THE BEST MCEE they ever met and they've been to a lot of weddings. Josh sure knows how to keep the crowd entertained. We love Josh! DJ/cold sparks: The music was great - he played almost all the songs we had on our list and he made sure unnecessary song requests from guests were declined as I requested that groom songs should be a priority unless it was communicated directly that certain guests were able to put in requests. The guests had fun and I had a blast and from what I could remember we were all dancing Photobooth - the quality was as expected and I love the fact that our photobooth attendant kept every copy for me and provided a flash drive at the end of the night with every single photo taken Overall our experience with FAE was amazing from beginning to end and I couldn't thank them enough for being apart of our wedding! Thank you so much for everything! read more

I highly recommend From Above Entertainment! My wedding was in April, and they were there to DJ, emcee, and Photo Booth at my outdoor reception at Hyatt Regency Waikiki. Julie was really great with answering all of my questions especially in the beginning, and it was nice of her and Wes to actually try to get to know us a little better during the consultation. Their rates are quite reasonable and I appreciated the variety of packages they offer, so you don't have to hunt for different vendors for each service. We felt very fortunate to actually have Wes as our emcee, especially because our wedding was on a weekday. Everyone loved and enjoyed him;it was so great how he engaged the crowd with some extra participation/commentary that went perfectly with the program we had envisioned, without causing any delays or huge tangents. The music was exactly what we requested and were pleased to see guests dancing; I only wish we had made more time to dance ourselves, but we got so busy trying to talk to everyone! I appreciated that DJ LT reminded us to come dance to the last song. The Photo Booth was also a great hit with the guests and the photos came out with good quality (not grainy or pixilated)! I also liked that there was an actual attendant manning the booth as I think the pictures come out better that way, rather than without an attendant. There was a small mishap in which somehow the flash drive and hard copy photos the attendant made got lost at the end of the night, but they quickly mailed us another flash drive and set of photos afterwards! Mahalo for your hard work and top quality service! read more

FAE was amazing for our wedding. From the beginning they hopped on a Zoom call to get to know us before the event. During the wedding, they had all the setups ready and was seamless throughout the event. Emcee Josh awesome and he kept the energy up throughout the night. The photobooth was a must have because it was a hit with all of our guest. They even provide you with all of the photos from the photobooth and USB. Unfortunately, we accidentally lost it, but they were gracious enough to provide us with the copy. And even met up with us to do so. We couldn't ask for a better wedding. Thank you FAE! read more

From Above Entertainment lent us the talents of Don K Won for the 2022 Honolulu Bubble Run and we had a blast with him. We were part of the first heat of runners, pretty much falling asleep, and then Don was there waking us up. He pumped up heat after heat after heat as the actual heat started to pick up. With absolutely no cover for his little Bubble Run mandated cube of music he continued to emcee, encourage and entertain hordes of runners even long after we had left the venue. If From Above Entertainment has more people like Don they should be your go to for events both large and small, his crowd interaction was on point the whole time and we had a blast with him. My only regret is that the time we had was so short. read more

The FAE team did a lot at our wedding and they did it FLAWLESSLY. FAE provided the sound and low fog at the ceremony and provided the sound, music and photo booth at the cocktail hour and reception. What was extra special was that the FAE team helped me and my wedding party pull off a surprise performance for my husband. They received the instructions and mix tape files just a couple hours before the ceremony, and when it was "go time," the music came on when it needed to and they seamlessly took cues during the performance to change tracks. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the FAE team as well. The photo booth was a hit with unlimited prints (as well as e-files sent to us post wedding via link and usb) and the music was on point. FAE asks thorough questions about style of music as well as accepts song playlists. Between those things, the DJ was able to play the right music to keep the dance floor filled all night long. Julie was our main contact during the whole planning process as well as on the day-of. I just want to say thank you so much for helping to make the whole process go smoothly from our initial zoom meeting, helping me customize the photo booth printout frames and getting the photo files to us post-wedding. We definitely recommend anyone planning a wedding in Hawaii to hire From Above Entertainment. They are so deserving of their 5-star reviews. read more

We were trying to have a budget wedding, had made a fire playlist to just let run on the night of, and I was worried that a DJ with just 36 guests might be awkward...? But I kept seeing the same advice again and again: Your DJ makes or breaks your night. Let me tell you: From Above Entertainment (FAE) MADE our night! I LOVE music and I love to dance. I was extremely particular about my requests for the night - timing of songs for entrances down the aisle/grand entrance, a lengthy do not play list, which genres to stick to for ceremony/cocktail hour, bringing up the energy for dinner, and letting the jams pump for party time. FAE *completely* understood my requests and *completely* delivered - perfect timing for my aisle & grand entrance songs, matching me up with a DJ right away for the genres I wanted (EDM, pop, dance), checking in with me throughout the night that the music was right, and hyping up the crowd. DJ Technique and Wes spun straight and utter FIRE for 3 straight hours. Within the first hour on that dance floor, I felt our investment had already paid for itself. FAE run multiple events almost every day, and definitely know what they're doing. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. P.S. If you're into EDM, ask for DJ Technique. I felt like I was at an EDM concert! If you like laughing, ask for Wes ;) read more

Five big bright stars for Wes! I definitely recommend FAE for your wedding or any big event. Professional and super fun team to work with. Wes went above and beyond our expectations. He interacted with our guests and made them hyped up to take photos at the photo booth. Wes also gave me and my husband copies of the photos, a USB with the photos, AND sent us a link of all the photos and videos too!! Wes also provided the smoke effects for our first dance...it was like a dream! I loved it! Mahalo nui for making our wedding so memorable! Please book with FAE...they get busy fast! read more

Kwon is the man to rock the mic! Right from the start, we really connected with Kwon. He took the time to get to know us before our wedding, and he took a genuine interest in getting to know our story. We love how well he got to know us, and even our guests thought we knew each other for years! Kwon brought the high, positive energy that got everyone pumped up! He made us and the bridal party feel like a million bucks just entering the reception. He brought all our ideas to life and better than we could have ever imagined. He even gave us ideas that made our reception even better. All our guests were so engaged throughout the entire night and had an amazing time because of Kwon's energy. Here we are, weeks after our wedding, and our family and guests are still talking about how amazing our emcee was. We HIGHLY recommend Kwon to be your emcee. read more

From Above Entertainment worked both our ceremony and reception at the Four Seasons Oahu Ko Olina and they did an amazing job. We first came into contact with From Above Entertainment through a recommendation. For our wedding, they provided DJ, Emcee, and photo booth service. We chatted with Julie, Wes, and Kwon. All of them were incredibly awesome. One thing that stood out to us with chatting with Julie, Wes, and Kwon was their genuineness and the fact that they wanted to learn more about our story. For me this was important because it really seemed like they would be a great partner for our wedding rather than someone that was simply selling a service. We had other conversations with other vendors where it seemed like we only got a few words in. From Above Entertainment wants to learn more about your journey and also how to make your event a wonderful time. The whole team is extremely professional and did a great job. I will highlight a few things that really make them great and hopefully makes you consider them for your next event. 1. Julie is very responsive, and she did a great job making sure the event was set-up for success. We really appreciated our conversations with her and it made us feel at ease for the day of the wedding. She's very organized and great to chat with. 2. Don K Won was an awesome emcee that kept the show running. He was both professional and entertaining. We really enjoyed his style and had several guests compliment his emceeing. 3. DJ Shift kept the party rolling. My wife and I really love to dance so this was a really important aspect for us. Our friends and us were dancing all night. We had a great time. He played the songs we really loved, and did a good job also reading the crowd. Our guests really loved the music selection. 4. Photo booth - This was a great hit. Many of our friends took photo booth pics to commemorate the night. Moreover at the end of the night, you also get a USB of the photos taken to help you. Our event was an awesome night and that's in part thanks to From Above Entertainment. I would highly recommend them for your event. Thank you for everything! read more

Wes and Julie are such a power couple and the FAE team is amazing! Super down-to-earth, organized, punctual, professional and personable! We hired their services for DJ/MC & Photobooth at our wedding reception. They helped us build our reception timeline, played all our genre/playlist favorites, and there were so many great options for photo design and layout! Our family and friends enjoyed the evening and shared how much of a fun and great time they had. (We're a local couple with local family/friends. We had FAE for two parties this year. One at 3660 for my daughter's 18th birthday and at Okinawan Center for her graduation party. Wes was our DJ and prettied up the room with pink lights at 3660. He was so helpful with our sound for our slideshow and other things that i know nothing about. The kids absolutely loved the music and dancing. FAE also had to deal with me, who gave them music to play for a dance number at midnight before our morning party. Julie was always there to kindly coordinate through email up until that day. Wes made sure there was never a dull moment during our lunch reception and you could tell he was genuinely passionate about his work. Prior to our wedding, we provided a list of sample songs and they delivered the exact style we wanted. Julie was very kind and was in charge of the photo booth. I absolutely love From Above Entertainment. I hired Wes to be my emcee and we also book From Above to be our DJ, uplighting, and photo booth. They were absolutely professional and were quick to answer our questions both text and email. They also gave valuable leads and feedback on my wedding questions. The uplighting was gorgeous and help to set the mood. They also had a gorgeous photo booth and I they had tons of selection on layout for the photobooth. So much that I was overwhelmed and by the choices. I also loved their personalize prop with our wedding date and name and how they were quick to give us an usb copy of pic the same night. The DJ was also great playing our set of music and get my guest moving. But the true highlight is Wes as an emcee. To be honest I didn't know what to expect especially since I'm a reserve person and Wes personality is more outspoken, but he made the event so special and he jived well with the environment, mood and theme..in fact I think Wes made my party way more fun..throwing games to help the timelime, getting the event started off with comedy that everyone love. I really feel that Wes and From Above Entertainment is one of the main reason my guest kept telling me it's one of the best weddings they've been to. As for price they are rather reasonable and sometime give deals if you go to wedding expos. I had also interview Team Groom and Team Bride and love them too but they were way over budget. I thought I needed to pay more to get a good event but my husband (budget guy) convince me otherwise. And I'm glad he did we had a blast with From Above Entertainment. Thanks From Above! You won't regret booking them..trust me! read more

From Above is right! Julie and Wes are amazing! I got married in February 2019. I had them doing almost everything coordination, DJ, MC, had uplighting and a photo booth. I can for sure say that I had a blast at my wedding and it was because From Above Entertainment's team. The music from our DJ was on point kept me on my feet all night till the very last song. Working with Wes and Julie was easy, peasy, lemon squeezy! Communication was really key. Our event was held at SALT at Our Kaka'ako, and I had no clue how to prepare for it sound-wise, but Wes figured out exactly what we needed. Even on the day of, Wes did a spectacular job getting all of his instruments setup swiftly, with plenty of time to make adjustments before the grand opening. Braddah Wes was awesome!! We hired him for our son's baseball team's fundraiser this past weekend. It was evident that they have a ton of experience. When the fundraiser started, Wes jumped on the stage with an extreme amount of energy and positive vibes. Although it took a little bit of effort to get the crowd warmed up, he held his composure and killed it. What I appreciated most was his ability to use whatever situation was happening and turned it into pure FUN. There are so many good things to say about From Above Entertainment. It first starts with the initial consultation. When you want to book your consultation, Julie responds in a very timely manner. Even if you have any questions she messages or e-mails you back right away. During the consultation, you tell them what services you want for your party and they will try to accommodate you as much as they can. They are very easy to talk to. During our wedding Wes did an excellent job emceeing. I believe if your event was great and fun that is in big part to how your emcee is. And Wes sure made it fun and entertaining. It was so fun that I am still getting people telling me that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Also DJ Edit has a good sense of music selection. We had requested for some feel good 80s music and did he deliver. We also went with the photo booth. There are so many options to choose from. From the different backgrounds to the different layouts for the prints. The attendants were friendly and kept the prop table neat and organized.
