As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the Hot Air candy (milk and dark chocolate covered) is exceptional. Every time we pass through Virginia we end up splurging on a pound, which rarely lasts us more than a few days it is so addictive. Another reviewer notes that the interior and offerings have eroded over time, which my wife (who grew up here) agrees with. However, it is still worth the visit. Enjoy!

Knowing what I know from my many, many visits to Virginia as a child and adult, I spoiled a perfect box of their finest (sorry Shirley). As great as ever. Amazing candy, we always stop at the candy store when we are in Northern Minnesota…read more This time we had a unique experience, the older lady who waited on us, tried to talk us into more candy than what we wanted. She also took our turtles and smooshed them all together. When we got home it was one big glob of chocolate, caramel and nuts, not sure why she wouldn't use a bigger bag. She seemed to be having an off day Advised us that all of the nutty ice cream bars were the same, which they aren't. They've changed over the years. They used to be mixed nuts and coconut. Now they're only coconut and peanuts very very good still but they've changed. Awesome place to stop just make sure they use the right size bag so you don't get a glob of chocolate and caramel

The candy itself was neat -- a few local products and many chocolate truffles to choose from. Plenty of generic candies as well that you'll find at other spots. Although the candy itself was good, it was way overpriced. Just a few pieces of candy cost close to $20. The bottom line? Chocolate truffles were delicious. Decadent and full of rich chocolate flavor. The English toffee looked good as well. I may get that next time I revisit Duluth. Service needs a bit of a revamp though. It's a small little shoppe. You can't miss it if you're shopping and browsing within the area. Try it for yourself if you have a sweet tooth. Here's hoping you have a sweeter experience.
