I was totally blown away by the large variety of wines, bourbon, craft beers and mixers. Oh, I can't forget the cigars. Eric the owner, not only knows bourbon, he can also advise you on the perfect wine for your upcoming dinner party. Best of all, his staff also gives exceptional customer service. One of the coolest things I've seen in a while and it was very creative. Instead of traditional shopping carts, Ely Liquor had little red wagons to pull through the store as you shopped for your adult beverages.

I absolutely adore this liquor shop. We were the first ones to enter when they opened up one day,…read moreand the owner and his wife were inside. They were happy to show us around the store. The store is quite large. There are many different areas. The back has a walk in cooler and a cooler specifically for seltzers. Had they not shown us this part, i'm not sure if i would've known it was back there and appropriate for shoppers. They had a ton of wine, so i picked up a couple bottles of local wine. I was interested in their boxed and carton wines. What a great idea for those going out on a boat! I was looking to make sangria, so i needed a small amount of brandy. I asked at the register and they had quite a few small bottles. i got a bottle of brandy for $3.59! It was enough for the sangria recipe and then some! perfect. Their spirits selection was good. They didn't have a lot of fancy bourbon so i asked the owner and she said their allotment had not come in but it was increasingly more difficult to get anything these days with the covid pandemic. They were waiting on buffalo trace, larceny and some other Kentucky bourbons to arrive. According to her, the bourbons sell out fast. They have six pack containers that you can mix and match for craft beer. We made our own six pack. We visited again during our stay and received the same care and attention. Great liquor store. parking is on the street or behind the store, in their designated lot/spaces.

For a small shop, we find that it had a good selection of the basic items that you'd find in a liquor store -- beers (including local brews), wine, liquors, sodas and other mixers. We ended up buying a Leroux Blackberry Brandy (750 ml, $11.99) and a Captain Morgan Rum (750 ml, $18.99). Staff was efficient and friendly. There's a small but sufficiently-sized parking lot off 7th Avenue.
