Slightly out of the way was Kainan Sa Kanto but based on the reviews, I wanted to go and check it out. So very glad I did! Tucked away in a small shopping strip, this is a restaurant/market/bakery. They have a few different plate options and considering it was on the smaller side, I was shocked by how many options they had. All the typical Filipino options honestly. I got the Pancit and the pork belly + a pack of their Ube Pan de Sal. It was all so delicious. I've gone back twice already and keep trying different sides + always getting the pork belly haha. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed!!

This place is small, but cozy and reminded me of places in the Philippines. Tita Margie was super sweet and let us try some things before ordering. They serve all sorts of silog here which is nice. The tocino though was too tough and too thick for my liking but the longanisa was good and I was able to add lumpia as a side. Nice to know there's a place we can go to early morning for these cravings. Will be back to try other foods. They also sell catering and frozen lumpia by the dozens as well as other snack favs. Definitely worth the try! They're open everyday at 7am.

Decided to try this place out again since I didn't have a very good first experience…read more I ordered the liempo again (since last time the meat was inedible). And this time I ordered it with salad. This time around I really enjoyed the taste. The meat was very tender, easy to bite. It has good flavor. You can definitely taste the seasoning and marinate of the meat. I had some of the liempo by itself and I actually paired it with salad (salad which is the side I got). Although upon first glance the salad looks bland, it did have toppings on it. And the dressing was so good. Service was good. I was suppose to claim a free voucher (from the manager) but the worker said my name was there. But she was very friendly in assisting me. Ambiance was okay. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of people there. And I just got my food to go.

Both the shrimp and the pork were cooked perfectly, and they both had their own flavorful sauce/seasoning - very complementary to the protein. The shrimp was wonderfully garlicky! We got a side of rice (two scoops) and a side of salad and shared those, too. Each plate came with a little slaw of marinated veggies. Good portions and reasonable prices. Since it's like a food court you sit outside but it's a very nice area. Service was good! They don't take cash so plan accordingly. Soft drinks by the can and bottled water.

A good spot for Filipino food that's good for take out or dining in. There's a decent amount of…read moreparking available and this location has all indoor seating. The workers were friendly and the food took about 25min to be ready from the time that we ordered. I've only ever had to go from here but I am told that the portions are larger if you're dining in. We ordered sinigang and kare kare. Both came in a very large portion size and the two dishes were enough for 4-5 people. The flavors were good and they tasted even better the next day. They gave plenty of meat in both dishes. It was a good experience over all and I would like to dine in next time to get the full experience.

TLDR: It's an overpriced buffet for $25 given the options. If they'd drop the price to..... $20,…read morebut more realistically $23, it MIGHT be worth it. I also feel that the place would be better if they included all the staple Filipino breakfast items (Pandesal, Corned beef, Filipino hotdog, bangus). The taste is arguably 4 stars, but the price point drops the overall feeling to 3-3.5 stars. Food Tocino - It's fine. It tasted kind of store bought, but I think it's good enough to get a few times. Longganisa - It's just.... bad. They were trying to go for the sweet style longganisa, but it missed the spot completely. Beef Tapa - Probably the best option from the viands made available. It's the right blend of saltiness and sourness. The beef also had a good texture. Garlic Rice - I'm glad they didn't mess up one of the cornerstones of Filipino breakfast. It could've been better, but the general quality of the food here was already low enough that it made this one of the better items. Pancit Guisado - Dry, filled with starch filled lobster balls, and could generally use some more stuff in it. I regret getting this and should've eaten more garlic rice Fried Shrimp - I'm glad it's easy to peel, but the shrimp itself is generally flavorless. Egg - I was scared that these mass produced eggs may not have had a runny yolk, but I'm glad to see enough liquid to praise it Tokwa't baboy - The bronze medalist of the meal. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork belly is on the drier end, but it's small enough that it's not hard to eat. Nilaga - Good. Probably my favorite bite. It's seasoned well, the beef is soft, and there's a good amount of vegetables. Champorado - Decent. Shame that I didn't see the milk when I was getting it. Maybe they ran out, maybe they were refilling it as I was getting. Buko Pandan - Very good. Is it store bought? Maybe. It doesn't matter, still good. Service: You pay first before you're assigned a table. There are a lot of staff who are there to keep the tables clean and to mix the food every now and then to prevent the tray from drying out. Ambiance: Bright, spacious, and inviting. A very good place to have Sunday breakfast / brunch.

Was in the area and saw this place on several food influencer channels, so had to check it out…read more Me and my coworker got the "kawali" fried pork belly, chicken bbq skewers, and the special sisig. All of the food was really good and the portion size is decent. Even after a 30 minute drive back to the office, the pork belly was still nice and crispy. The texture on the sisig might be a little weird for some people, but it was actually really good. The rice was a little too sticky, but it went really well with the protein and some of the sauces they give you. Really simple menu and the lady taking the order was really patient and friendly. Food also came out pretty quickly even though the place started getting really busy when we left around 11:30. Check this place out if you're in the area.

A local gem!…read more Ordered a pound each of the Fried Pork Belly (Kawali) and Roasted Pork Belly (Cebuchon). Total summed up to a little over $50.00. Wasted no time sampling the food as soon as it was served. There is only outdoor seating, so we had to chase some flies away while tasting everything. Each order had crispy skin and came with a side of sauce that was sweet and slightly sour. My favorite was definitely the Cebuchon. Such tender, savory meat! After driving +40 minutes, the skin still had a nice exterior. I do like how minimal their menu is - you can tell they are pork-oriented. I can definitely see myself visiting again or even ordering a catering tray for the holidays.

They have decent breakfast and lunch selections. I went with the two item combo but we actually wanted three items, so I got a small size of the sinigang. Other than the combo options, they do not have any posted prices of aka carte items or the prices of the individual small, medium and large containers. I asked how much a small is and the guy said it depends on the item. They should just have a set price on the S,M,L containers. Anyway I got the two item combo with Lechon Kawali and the tofu & Pork ears along with the small sinigang. When I went to pay it was $29.70. I should have questioned it, but instead I asked for a receipt. That didn't do any good because all they gave me was the charge receipt and not itemized. Later when the line dwindled down I asked again how much the small sinigang was and why did my $15.49 combo become almost $30.00? She said the small sinigang was $10.79. If I knew how much they were charging me I could have just ordered two of the two item combos or a single item combo and for about the same price I paid, I would have gotten more. That's Filipino service for you. If they cared about their customers, the lady could have suggested to just order a combo instead of the individual entree and I would get more value for the similar price. If there's a next time, I know what to do. If they aren't going to advice customers of the price because they don't show it posted for us to see, then I'll ask them for the price of each item and see if they get annoyed with me. The other annoying thing that happened is she asked if we were eating it there or to go and I said we would eat it there so she gave us one plastic fork and one spoon. The annoying thing is you have to go back to the counter and the line was so long and the two people there were both serving the customers ordering food, so I hate to be rude but I had to cut them off and say you only gave me one set of silverware, I need another. Also the other reason we don't eat here too often is they are only open six days a week and only from 7:00am to 2:00 pm each day.

I ordered the breakfast special with two scoops of rice, egg and longanisa. The menu said you can order one more item for $1 so I added the tocino. My bill went from $8.99 to $18.99. I asked her why the $10 difference and she said I now had two items. I pointed out the menu said $14.99 for two items, why the additional $4. She said my two items are now premium plus the egg made it $18.99. I pointed out the menu and the prices and she pointed to a small menu on the cash register that listed different prices. Although it was an apparent bait and switch, I still paid because I was craving the dish. The food was mediocre. The longanisa was very fatty with huge fat chunks. The tocino was not so bad if you like lots of gristle on the poor slices of meat. While I was eating my food, I saw the cashier argue with just about every customer when they were checking out about the higher prices not matching the televised menu. I saw the cashier put a customer's food back in the food trays to be served to another customer. Aside from the food being suitable for people who are used to eating poor cuts of meat, terrible customer service, higher prices than posted and disgusting food handling practices, there really is nothing positive about this restaurant. The 4+ stars is very misleading. I'm embarrassed that non Filipinos might think this is what Filipino consider good Filipino food.
