I've been getting the same sandwich since I was a little kid and I will keep getting it over and over again

Great pizza. Cheeseburgers. Gyro's. Onion rings...meh, skip those. must say its been 28 years since i stepped into this place...and its not the same little joint as it used to be. its bigger and nicer...and luckily...the wonderful greek gyro's from the past....are still being served!!! Oumpa!! [and it was my first one circa1984] full bar, tv, pool table...ice cream area...mostly american food. great place to hang out during game days, chill, surf the internet. GO Lamar University! read more

This establishment is extremely unprofessional, distasteful, disrespectful, and down right inconsiderate of those who choose to attempt to support this local business. Save your time money and energy by finding another place to have your event/party/pike night/etc. Shutting down a function is one thing, but lying about the authorities being contacted about a noise complaint OFF CAMPUS is wild. read more

This place has been around next the Lamar campus for years. They've recently remodeled the entire place and have a full service bar, which is especially busy on game days. Basically the menu has stayed the same, burgers, and such -- but keeping true with its roots, the best thing to order is the Gyro plate. Try it, you won't be disappointed! Any Lamar student should try this place at least once. read more

First time to go to Kampus Korner and I was suprised with how good it was. I got a beef fajita sandwich, which was more like a pita wrap, delicious. Everyone else at our table got gyros, which they inhaled. Great, quick, and on campus. read more

Kampus Korner Restaurant - a truck parked in front of the restaurant - Greek Near Me - Beaumont, Texas

Thank you, Kampus Korner for continuing to serve up excellent Mediterranean food in Beaumont! Newly remodeled, with the addition of a full bar, Kampus Korner is a go-to spot for Lamar University students and anyone looking for a delicious gyro. Great for an inexpensive lunch or dinner, and even better for lunch on game day in the Fall! read more

Kampus Korner Restaurant - people sitting at the bar - Greek Near Me - Beaumont, Texas

A great atmosphere for the college/young adult crowd. They do have a bar and serve alcohol all day. The BBQ chicken sandwich is delicious, and my husband said the original gyro was excellent. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the service is sub-par. Both times I have been here, my food has been taken to the wrong table and then given to me once the mistake was found. Also, the food is not delivered as ordered. My food came with pickles and onions when I asked for none. Also, my husband asked for spicy fries and did not receive them. All in all, a good place for a quick bite and hang out, but don't expect the best of service. All read more

Worst hamburger that I ever had! I have eaten at Kampus Korner many times over the years, and this was my first bad experience. I have not had a hamburger there under the new ownership, and it was a big mistake. I ordered the basic hamburger which came with fries, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Horribly greasy, it took several napkins to soak up the grease on the hamburger patty. The texture of the burger was strange and unpleasant, and large pieces of stringy fat and other unidentifiable material were in the burger. The fries were decent, and the ice tea was very good, giving Kampus Korner a second star, rather than the single star for that dreadful burger. read more

I came strictly for the Gyro. I was not disappointed. Pretty good for a non Greek place next to a college. Good size Gyro too. I have no reason to give less than 5 stars....unless I considered the beer selection in bottles...bleh...although their beers on tap are a better assortment. read more

Since the Chicago Dog left from the mall, I give my business to Kampus Korner for the one item I ve tried which is the Gyro. I love the way they prepare it not sloppy but put together nicely. I love the sauce, the torTilla is just right grilled to perfection not burnt. The goat of the gyro is tender and delicious . I can only speak for my visits which have been good the person checking me out was very nice as well, but I have never dined in. This is based on my last visit about 2 years ago so yes I'm late with the post, but it was still gooddddddddddd. read more

Decent food at a decent price. I stop here regularly throughout the week since my class is in the middle of the day. Only complaints are the beers on tap are not kept at the proper temperature causing nothing but foam to come out of the tap when pouring and the soda machine almost never has any drinks in stock. read more

It's easy to see that the students are on Christmas break. No lines, no waiting. I ordered the mesquite turkey sandwich with pepper jack cheese $5.99 + .49 tax. With only 5 customers in the place it took about 18 minutes to get my food. It's a good sized sandwich with very thick cut turkey. Great flavor with the jalapeño bread. All around a good experience. read more

Great little hang out with good food and great service. Full bar, Nattie light specials every day. Breakfast is delicious, and very reasonable. Nice college hangout on the campus of Lamar University. read more

This is among one of the few options to eat on campus at Lamar. The food is great, but that's about all that's great about this place. The rest is rather mediocre. The service lacks from time to time, and the prices aren't exactly competitive. I may stop in once in a while for gyro, but that gets old pretty quick. If you've never been here, I highly recommend you try a gyro or two. Other than that, there's nothing really special about this place aside from the fact that it's conveniently located on campus. read more

The gyros are great, but they are the only reason I am a regular here. The other food is decent, and prices are about what you would expect. The service is a different matter, though. The food is delivered quickly, but don't expect it to be completely correct. Still a great place to grab lunch and a beer! read more

Great place for having a casual conversion. The Kebab Burgers are unique this little restaurant and are definitely recommended.

Love the gyro plate! Everything tastes great and they have excellent taziki sauce! There sides are good too and they're on Waitr!!!

Only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of the convenience of being able to have a drink on campus which I rarely do. The food is overpriced and bland. Got a Greek salad today which is basically an $8 plate of iceberg lettuce. I also have to say that Beaumont's tapwater has more flavor than their fish sandwich which is what I got the last time I was here. It is a nice place to go to have a drink or do homework but that's about all I'll give it. read more

This place has great food, plus it's stinking close to campus. But it's not open to late so if your going to go, go early. Good food, great price, get the gyro or gyro plate. read more

They always mess up your order. Their food is sometimes served cold. AND!!!! this past time I was there the cooks where not wearing gloves and I don't think their hands were clean. People only go there because it is the only good place in walking distance to Lamar. But if I were you I'd save your money because it's not worth it. Plus they over priced for their poor quality. read more

Average college bar selection. Gyros are not bad. Indifferent service; poor and inattentive depending on the severs mood. Oh well. There are not many other choices close by. read more

It's really good!! I have been craving a gyro and sadly Beaumont has nothing to offer. I just heard about this place and that they had a good gyro. It's true! Actually the overall menu looks great but I have yet to try anything else. Another plus, the owner seems to always be on site. Great place. read more

Just mediocre. Most of the food is what you expect to find at a bar. The gyros are awesome and the BBQ sandwich is great. The rest is just ok. Breakfast is rather boring. Prices for everything are a bit high for what you get. read more

My first time trying anything from this place and I was disappointed. I ordered nachos w/ jalapeno and when I received my order, I was like.......where is the cheese???? The little cheap chips were a waste of my money. I will skip this place for lunch. read more

So, this venue goes up and down. It has been really good at times. Now is not one of those times. Pass until the staff gets right again.

The people who work here are great. They have great food all week long and great drink specials on Thursdays

I bought sandwich and fries combo but the fries came with the sandwich was very small. Did you make portions smaller or the employee is doing this by mistake? I paid extra for fries. I really hate tight-fisted people read more

Its pretty good. I usually get the wings. Depending on who is cooking they taste diffrent each time but I really want to try the gyro. I live on campus and its easy to walk to if you are bored with the dinning hall and just want to eat good with out driving to the west end. read more

I have been eating at the Kampus Korner in Fannet for a few months because they hired a well known chef in the area, Jeff Philmon. He completely changed the menu from the awful food that was being served. (The same awful food was and still is served at the Lamar location) finally some delicious food in Hampshire-fannet area! He completely changed their generic processed food menu. He had the best hamburgers, fish and shrimp tacos as well as many other items that you don't find anywhere! But alas, the owner of the Kampus korners has proven himself to be an inept business man and changed the management in fannet. They are now back to their old, cheap, disgusting ways. He has rid himself of a great chef and returned to serving processed frozen food. I have had better food at an elementary school cafeteria! Don't bother visiting either location. It will only be a disappointment!!! read more
