It is not like it used to be when I first moved here to Orange about 15 years ago. Guadalajara was the top choice for dining out for the family . The Ambiance is not there !!! I have tried Mexican food at places all over Texas and still rate Guadalajara in Orange to be consistent since 1976 and always enjoy the food! Great service every time. Disappointing. I was in the mood for authentic Mexican food and the google reviews of this place raved it up. Salsa tasted as though it came straight from the Pace jar. AMAZING service!!! Everyone was so friendly, and our waitress was so attentive she came by to refill our salsa before we ran out multiple times, as well as our chips and drinks when they ran low. The food was delicious. We got combo plates with rice, beans, Echiladas, burritos, and tamales. Not to mention you can add a taco for a dollar to any meal. Tamales are really good. Pretty much everything I've tried I have liked. Their salsa is good as well. Things have changed quite a bit since Covid. They no longer have their ice cream machine working (that was the best stuff. Different from most soft serves.). But they are still worth the try. read more

My Mom and dad ordered the beef fajita's for two the beef was cold with half ass cooked onion's and the side order of refried bean was cold as well I ordered mixed fajita salad that was vegan thing with no meat or dressing Yes! I did want the meat we even had to keep asking for refills on water and tea. the services sucks all together the total of the meal was 37 dollars IT WAS NOT WORTH IT !!!!!!!!! read more

Food was greasy, meat was cheap, low grade beef. The Spanish rice was like hard Rice a Roni, beans were watered down. Made my husband's stomach upset. He's eaten there years ago and said it was good back then, he was shocked at how mediocre it was. Not recommended. read more

Very greasy and overpriced. My son ordered a cheese quesadilla with no sides and it was $10.99, it was ridiculous for the size and quality.

Since moving to Texas I've made it a point to try out the Mexican restaurants in the area. It was a Saturday afternoon when we went and I was surprised by how empty the restaurant was. The staff at Guadalajara is fantastic!! I called ahead to ask if I could bring a large party in before closing and they were more than happy to accommodate. All the staffers were nice, got our food out quickly and everything tasted great. My margarita was excellent-- not too sweet and just the right amount of tequila. read more

Looks like they haven't ever dusted or wiped down anything but the tables food was cheap both quality and price ... also the employees were sitting at a table in the corner texting and eating in between checking on there one table, no hand washing ever!!! , looked lazy obviously there were plenty of thing to be cleaned ... The service was great. I had the cheese enchilada dinner and loved it. My husband had the combo fajita dinner and was not happy he said the shrimp and meats didn't taste fresh and were dry. They allow smoking in the restaurant (gross while I'm eating) I woke up with puffy eyes and a horrible sinus situation. Smoking in a restaurant? Come on y'all get with the times. read more
