From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles, and that same outstanding hospitality continued throughout our meal. We both ordered their succulent, thick, and tender pork chop--fried to crispy perfection and seasoned with their signature Bliss Box seasoning. Every bite was packed with mouthwatering goodness! This generous and delicious pork chop comes with a side of their "can't-be-beat" red beans, rice, and sausage. And let me tell you, these beans are slap-your-momma good--but please, don't! The service was fast, the food was down-home delicious, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. If you're ever near Savannah and 19th Street in Port Arthur, do yourself a favor and stop by Bliss Box. Tell them Best Bites sent you--you won't regret it! Their food is Total Bliss!!

Two fillets and I could only eat one with the french fries, so you get plenty of food. If you have a chance, do not pass up the pistolettes they are more than amazing. The service was very friendly, almost down home friendly. They're frozen meat section is very impressive to get meat that you can't normally find in other places. They had alligator meat, many types of sausages, and I was shocked that they had whole rabbits for sale. If you're a cook like me finding rabbit is quite difficult.

I chose a large order of the boiled shrimp appetizer and my husband ordered the fish tacos with charo beans. We shared and it was plenty of food (maybe too much) for lunch. The shrimp was clearly fresh but seasoned with a taste I didn't care for, however my husband liked it fine. I covered up the taste with cocktail sauce. It must be a local preference. Our server was the very best! She gave us great advice on what to order. She was friendly and attentive without being interrupting. Her name is Hillary and she is a real credit to the restaurant.

We gave it a shot when we first moved from the NASA area four years ago, so it was about time. I loved the fact they were open on Memorial Day, and they didn't seem to be too busy. Mostly golfers and their ilk. Our server was Kaitlyn, who was very fast. She reminded me of Mary Lou Retton. Very fast. Almost too fast? I asked a question about the amount of breading in the crab cake, and she said there was none. Seems unlikely, since crab cakes need a binder. I am intolerant of the gluten, so when she said the crab cakes had no binder, I was hesitant. I took the safe road and ordered the cucumber snacker and a boudin ball. My BF ordered a ribeye, and (because he thought he was super hungry), ordered chips and salsa as a starter. Kaitlyn brought out my wine and our chips and salsa straight away. The chips were very stale, the salsa was tasty but a little spicy for my taste. Everything arrived at our table at the same time, even though I ordered two apps as my meal. Kudos to Kaitlyn. The cucumbers were good, especially with the jalapeño ranch. No one can mess up a cucumber, but the jalapeño ranch was tasty. My boudin ball was meh. My BF ordered his ribeye medium temperature, and it arrived rare. Kaitlyn checked in on us a couple of minutes after the food arrived. He told her about the steak and she quickly whisked it away. ~5 minutes later, someone delivered the new steak. My BF enjoyed the new steak, baked potato and salad. When we visited four years ago, we felt rushed. I felt rushed this time as well. Obviously, Tia Juanita's is doing very well. You can't swing a rope without seeing another TJ's in SETX. It's probably just not our jam. I like a nice meal without feeling rushed. I also prefer to eat with a proper fork and knife. I would, however, like for the manager to respectfully respond to negative reviews. They seem to respond to positive reviews only.

This place has been here for a while and they just want to serve a good meal with no frills. They'll promptly greet you when you walk in the door. Take a seat and make your pick off the menu. We opted to share the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes & green beans. Portions were plentiful and they were kind enough to split the portions in the kitchen before serving so we each got our own plate full of deliciousness. These are real homemade sides, nothing out of a can! The green beans were soft and flavorful and the mashed taters were fluffy and thick that would stick to the ceiling if you tossed them up! Lol! Try the cracklins! OMG! Fresh made to order! Buy by the lb of specific dollar amount. Overall a delicious food experience. We will definitely be stopping in again when in the area. Don't be put off by the location (it's next to a small casino), you'll be glad you stopped in!

I grabbed a couple of piping hot crawfish pies, not because I like crawfish pie, but because I would love to find one that was as good as it sounds. The search continues. While the pie crust was superb, and price was very reasonable, filling was skimpy. Given that I'm not a huge fan of crawfish, perhaps the hint of filling was better.

It's a small food truck on the side of the road adjacent to an indoor eating area, don't let that fool you though! I ordered the fried green beans, cajun boudin balls, and gyro original pita. Portions were generous and packaged in a to go box for easily taking on-the-go. However if you want to eat it right away, there is a large indoor eating area with several tables. Neat concept! The gyro was delicious and tasted like the ones I've had in Houston. That alone with the side of fries was enough to fill me up. The boudin balls and fried green beans were both amazing and I ended up saving some for the air fryer the next day. There aren't many places that serve fried green beans, so I love the creativity here! They have a very expansive menu with lots of options for appetizers. I wish I had enough room in my tummy to try everything at once because all the fried appetizers especially sounded so good! Next time I definitely want to try the buffalo fried cauliflower, fried green tomatoes, and mac and cheese bites. The owner working inside the truck was super friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him for a bit. He told me he's been open for about 6 months but just recently got the business onto Yelp. So if you're reading this now, Yelp advertising works...now go check this place out! I look forward to coming back when I'm in the area...I'm coming for those fried foods!
