After the repairs were finished, we continued to have leaking. They came out to our home and told us they couldn't find the issue. Now, in the last year, we've had to replace the AC seal ($12!!!). Should that not have been done with a new roof?! Any qualified company would tell you, yes! Secondly, since the roof is STILL leaking! Look who sealed a vent cover on! Zero water could escape and just dripped through our ceiling! It was improperly installed, allowing air to circulate through! I have owned a Little Guy Max teardrop trailer purchased from General RV for 7 years. I have had nothing but frustration and major cost ($225/hour) from General's service department. More often that not, something was broken or not repaired when I got it back from service. Complaints got no satisfaction. In desperation, I looked for another source of service. A friend recommended Kamper City. Kamper City was kind enough to take on my repairs, even though they are not Little Guy dealers. The bearings were inspected and repacked, furnace inspected, propane filled. They pointed out that my tires were not inflated properly by General and suffered uneven wear. I also asked to have new seals for my rear hatches and front door. The new seals are so much better than the original. All for a fair bill. Unlike at General, I was able to talk to the technician who did the work and thank him! Everyone at Kamper City's family operation was polite and listened to my needs. I'll never go back to General again. read more

First off there is no "Soda machine" at the front door. There is a refrigerator with free drinks. It has been there for years. There is a popcorn machine too. 99% sure there were free hotdogs as well. I bought my camper in November too when it was a slow season. This place is great. I sat at the owners desk and chatted with him while my salesman was preparing my camper for delivery. Very approachable and like others in the RV industry it is very apparent he loves and deeply understands the business. I bought a 2022 KZ sportsmen 170MB after much research. Ive now had it for 2 problem free years too. We had a hitch put on our Minivan which proved to be really hard because inside the bumper was tough to get at to mount the trailer hitch. There was a part that was bent inside. So the service department spent about 2 hours and at one time there were 5 guys standing around trying to figure it out. They eventually got it and didnt charge me anything extra for it. Once again 2 problem free years later the tow package put on my car is working flawlessly. Ive had a great experience. So great in fact this was the first AND last stop we looked at campers. We had done the online research for pricing and what makes and models are out there so we had a good idea. We got a lot of great advice here too. 3 months after we bought the camper we went to the Cleveland RV show LOOKING for something better to make sure we made the right decision. Well going through that whole place and talking to many different companies and sales people. There was no camper better or no company that was better. Some were similar but we got the best deal and best service that I needed. I cant really talk about getting a broken one fixed just the install work that was done. I guess that is good. 2 years running and I am still happy. I already left a google review 5 years ago. I am in shock after stopping in at kamper city... My wife has wanted a camper for awhile now so we stopped in to see what they had. We were immediately greeted at the door by a guy named Dre at the soda machine(which was broken)reeking of marijuana. We had our kids with us so did not appreciate that, very unprofessional. We continued browsing the parts department, where we passed another employee who im surprised was still able to walk considering his eyes were nearly closed and he was mumbling something to one of the parts people. I was expecting a nice experience based on most of the reviews we read prior to coming in, but we were sadly misled. Then i overhear an employee reminding a customer for the 3rd time in 10 minutes to leave them that google review...so it all made sense to me at that point. I wish that was the worst of it, but its not. I got the pleasure of seeing the owner of kamper city, michael duluc. he seemed nice enough at first, until i came out of the restroom and he was talking with an employee about things that should never be discussed in public, especially by a business owner, AND RIGHT INFRONT OF CUSTOMERS AND CHILDREN!!! Our refrigerator door handle/latch broke while we were near Cleveland OH while traveling from NY to California. We called around to several places, none of which carried a replacement in stock until we called Kamper City. We told them we'd be there in an hour or two. When we arrived they had it set aside. Our back driver's side light on our trailer has also been acting up, intermittently deciding to not work. They also had that part available. We bought a couple other things we'd had on or wish list. We pulled in just to fill up the propane tanks and asked for a quick opinion on our toilet with the flap that won't move. They gave us the best price and best trade in value for our trade. We bought the East to West 25krb. We picked it up at week later and the paperwork was ready and went smooth. The service dept did a good show thru. When we got home we went through it more and realized a couple things were different from the one at show. I bought my used camper July 1 but I am still waiting for the title. I ultimately had to file a complaint with the Attorney General. I have since been informed by the AG office that the title has finally been transferred to my name. They legally had 40 days to get this transfer done, it took over 100. Sold our A Frame camper before moving from CA to OH and finally decided it was time to get a new one! Showed up and was greeted by Chris. I told him we were just checking out sizes to see what our next camper might be when we decide to pull the trigger and buy! He explained they are a no pressure sales team, he can drive us around based on our specs we want and show each end of the spectrum! Well he was awesome and showed us like 10 campers explaining the pros and cons and we had a good idea what one or two we were interested in. We came back today, 6 days after purchase and did our walk through with Kevin who was very helpful and took home our new camper! I recently purchased an old Flaggstaff pop up and had issues with the lift system and will have to replace the rear lift springs. I wanted to do the repair myself. I called in and was directed to Matt, the service manager. He was so patient and listened to all of my questions. Even though I wanted to do the repair myself, he invited me to stop by and he would show and explain the process to me. I went the next morning and was greeted by Allison who was very upbeat and positive and told me it would be a few minutes. Matt greeted me and proceeded to instruct me on how to do the repair and showed me on another pop up. Instead of ordering the springs on line, I decided that I would purchase them there because of the way I was treated. When I was at the parts department, the person that assisted me offered me a beverage to take with me on my way to work. I even called again another day and Allison was more than helpful! Have you ever dealt with a fine, family run establishment that takes care of their customers and works hard to earn your business by going the extra mile? Kamper City is the OPPOSITE. I was greeted by a rude salesperson. Told to wait for a manager who never came, so I left. Trying to negotiate with "ol tom" is laughable at best. You'd expect any rational human who lists a used RV $700 over the blue book value to at least negotiate with you. Nope, not at Kamper City. After employing all the worn out "used car salesman" tactics like making you wait an absurd amount of time to consider an offer, he countered with... his original sticker price. I wish I had read all the online reviews before showing up on the lot. Seems like I'm not the only one with a terrible experience. Im actually glad he turned down my offer, seems like their warranty department is abysmal. It's truly remarkable that these guys are even in business. If they were the last RV dealership on Earth, id rather tow around a cardboard box with a pillow in it than deal with them. read more

Lesson learned, wherever you buy, check out the service department before making a purchase. Had an issue come up this week, was told it would be 8 weeks b4 they could even look at our trailer, and to give him pictures to estimate the damage, too busy to even go to the campground and check it out. It's already the middle of June, an 8 week wait would put the start of repairs mid August. I don't know about the rest of you, but we use our camper for summer camping. So, we went to Avalon, today is Friday, Monday the service person from Avalon is scheduled to estimate our camper. Our next RV purchase will be from Avalon. read more

My husband and I just bought a camper from Kamper City after dealing with an extremely rude sales staff over at Camping World. We dealt with Rick, who was great and easy to work with. I appreciate the fact that he's a straight shooter like me, he made it easy to choose between the two campers we were looking at. I had a minor issue that had nothing to do with our sales person, and it was promptly dealt with by management. I was extremely pleased. Having grown up with a father who has worked in upper management my whole life, I believe in the "the customer is always right" motto and clearly the management side of Kamper City does as well. This has been digging at us since we bought our 2019 sportsman. Our sales person blew that special smoke at us. Told us that our Chrysler Pacifica could pull it with no problem. If we hadn't had a transmission and oil cooler we would have damaged our suv. They then told us that the book said we could pull it. The Chrysler dealer told us if our SUV had a tow factory towing package we could pull the unit. Kamper city said how were they to know.. They sold me a hitch and charged for the installation. If you are in the market for a new RV there are a few things you should know before you sign on that dotted line. Know your credit score (even if it is through a credit-monitoring resource). While it may not be exact, it will get you an idea of your credit bureau scores. Know when you sign a Loan Application for approval, allowing the dealer to make a "soft inquiry" of your credit score; this IS the same approval for allowing the dealer to make any number of "hard inquiries" to obtain financing. Know the difference between "soft inquiry" and "hard inquiry". Know how each of them will affect your credit score. After a lender has approve your Loan Application, BEFORE you sign anything ask the dealer for the Loan Application ID. Contact the lender who approved you, provide them with the Loan Application ID number and ask them what percent interest rate you were approved for. While It may be common for dealers to increase a fraction of the approved interest rate, some dealers will significantly increase your approved interest rate adding one or two whole points. If you will have a trade-in, know what your trade-in is worth. Call your bank NOT a dealer. When an RV dealer tells you "we are a wholesale dealer", this does not mean you need to accept wholesale value for your trade-in. This is where it becomes a numbers game. If a dealer offers you a trade-in allowance, GET IT IN WRITING Get EVERYTHING in writing. Do not believe anything a dealer says. A dealer who says "... it was never in writing," may as well be saying "our word mean nothing". Know your Loan Application ID has a term limitation and can be taken to another RV dealer (so long as the RV dealer uses and or finance through that same lender who approved you). Do not allow yourself to be convinced that just because your loan application was approved at one RV dealer it cannot be taken to another RV dealer. This is NOT true. Again, as long as the RV dealer uses and or finance through that same lender who approved you. You can let the dealer know you have financing approved through one of their lenders. There will need to be changes of the amount and collateral however; it will prevent another dealer from having to pull more than one hard inquiry since you already have a lenders approval. Do your homework and research of RV manufacturers construction methods and materials used. This information is as important as the floor plan you choose. Since most of the manufacturers offer a one or two year warranty, you WILL want to consider an extended warranty option. When doing so, I do NOT recommend financing the cost of an extended warranty with your RV. Reason being... It makes no financial sense to pay interest on an extended warranty that will expire long before you have it paid for. In addition, if you ever wanted to trade in or sell your RV before it is paid, you will find you owe more than it is worth. Ask your RV dealer if they offer an extended warranty aside from the RV loan. Often they can purchased with 0% interest for 12 or 24 months. After that term, you own the warranty and many of them are transferable. I hope that these tips will help you as you are seeking your new RV. I recently bought a Forest River Flagstaff popup trailer from Kamper City and from my first communication with Anthony until I drove out of their parking lot a week later, the process could not have gone more smoothly. I drove to Peninsula, OH from out of state to pick up the unit and when I arrived at 2pm on a February Friday with snow on the way , the staff at Kamper City rolled out the red carpet. Larry walked me through the trailer, answering all my questions and making sure I understood all the systems and setup. He also shepherded me through the purchase of a couple accessories to save me time later (water hose & adapter). Alice & Amy sped me through the paperwork, and Dave took charge of making sure my tow vehicle was modified with the proper height hitch fitted with a Bluetooth brake controller. He even stopped to reset the app in the parking lot as he was headed home. Quite a team! I have never had a vehicle purchase go more smoothly. BUYER BEWARE! Worst customer service! I purchased a camper in July. Several things were wrong from the beginning. The DVD player does not work; they forgot to give us our screen door; they delivered the camper completely filthy; we noticed small puddles on the floor in the bathroom and living room on several occasions; the slide makes a grinding sound then it seems to "pop" into the next gear. I called and left countless messages for the Service Manager. NOW WE HAVE SEVERE WATER DAMAGE! Water is coming through the light fixtures, mold is forming on the walls. It's a mess. When I called the owner, he told me to call my insurance company. I explained I have a warranty on the camper and I can't seem to get the Service Manager to assist me. He didn't even acknowledge that the Service Manager had a responsibility to call customers back. But he did say that NO warranty ever covers water and whatever damage that has been caused is due to something that I did! His comments were rude, uncalled for and completely wrong! I contacted the manufacturer. They too, were completely appalled by his responses. I will have to work with them for a resolution. Lesson learned - I will never buy a camper from Kamper City again! read more

My family stored their camper here last winter. This June Kamper city was supposed to get the camper all ready for us to use it. They did not do all they charged us for. My father spent additional money to have them clean and detail the outside of the camper. After picking up the camper we noticed that there was damage to the paint and it looked like someone sprayed a cleaning chemical onto the camper and then it either dried without being washed off of the camper or was never washed off. This caused the paint to come off in some sections of the camper. We have contacted them several times about the damage and they do not return our calls. I spoke with Matt in the service Dept initially and even sent pictures of the damage and he said he would speak with the owner and now it's been over two weeks without a reply. Every time I call I get a message that their service Dept is not available. Terrible service. Do not take your camper here! read more

I had an awning replaced on my pop-up camper. They were very nice. Hilarious installation mistakes ensued. They installed the awning hardware backward on the canvas, which made setting it up extremely confusing because the poles that go toward the ground were angled toward the pop-up, and those that were supposed to be attached to the pop-up were pointing at the ground. If you attached those poles to the pop-up, you would have to break the hardware to orient the other poles at the ground. When that was figured out and reversed (an easy process), it became clear that the anchor points were installed in the wrong place. I found the installation manual online and sure enough, the anchor points go under the awning at the top of the pop-up, not under the canvas you snap onto the pop-up when it's popped up. In hindsight, how can you attach an awning pole through the canvas? Should I have cut a hole? I remounted the anchor points myself, but now I have 4 little holes (from the screws) in the side of my pop-up I have to fill with caulk. read more

Recently (October 26, 2017) I had my RV winterized and the entry steps lubricated and adjusted. The service was performed promptly and professionally. The service tech took the time to explain what he did and I felt assured the work was complete and done correctly. While waiting in the customer service room, I had the opportunity to speak with both the owner and the sales manager, who were welcoming and very knowledgeable about the business. My experience with Kamper City was horrible. Not only did I find out that their service department is very inexperienced and unprofessional, but their management staff was unreasonable to correct the oversight of their service department. I had the axle service performed on my cargo trailer (repack the bearing and adjust the brakes) 2 days after the work was performed I found 2 of the 4 dust caps had fallen off. I also found 2 of the 4 wheels were loose on the spindle. Once I notified the service department they did correct problem. The worse part of all this is when I went back for the corrective repair they notified me, that from the obvious tire wear, they "now" observed that I have a bent axle. As they pointed this out to me it was so obvious "STEVE WONDER COULD HAVE SEEN IT". Therefore, I spent $300.00 in preventive maintenance that should have never been done. Even though the entire $300.00 was wasted money I was only asking for them to show their good faith by refunding $150.00. After talking to several of the management they refused to offer any portion of a refund. I went to this Company because Majestic Trailer was too busy at the time to provide the service. Don't make the mistake I made, wait for a qualified, customer service based company as Majestic Trailer. I am now delivering my trailer to Majestic for the axle replacement. P.S. We purchased a brand new Keystone Retreat from Kamper City, at the time of purchase we purchased the extended bumper to bumper warranty. What a JOKE! From the day they delivered our new camper to our campgrounds we have had issues. It took from one camping season to the second season just to get repairs made for problems we reported at the time of delivery. Now we are on our third season and still having issues. One is the air conditioner, had a problem with a switch when they came out for all the other issues they were to fix this one but instead he said he didn't have the part he needed so he used a ZIP tie, and never came back with the part. Also in our living room one of the recessed ceiling lights was missing a cover we were told they are not available for replacement so we have exposed bulbs in that light. Now we called 4 weeks ago about new issues and the air conditioner issue and we were told by Matt in service he had to order parts. We have made multiple attempts to check on the parts and when we could schedule the repairs to be made, finally today I spoke with Matt he said the parts were in but now we have to wait for the owner Mike to schedule someone to come out. He thought maybe we would want to check with another dealer to see if they could come out, in case it was going to be "MONTHS AND MONTHS" . REALLY!! at this point I was furious. I said it was pretty crappy at how much we paid for the trailer and the extended warranty and we can get no service. Kamper City saved our vacation. We did something stupid when hooking up our travel trailer to our tow vehicle and encountered a problem on I71. We were lucky to be approaching an exit, and pulled off the highway and into the closest parking lot. I made two calls for help. Place number one was helpful, but advised us to call Kamper City because they were much closer. Kamper City advised us what we could do to try to limp the 10 miles or so to get to them. Fingers crossed, we took our time and made it to them they helped us out and charged us a very fair price. We called Kamper City on May 12th to make appointment to take our 2016 Flagstaff MicroLite in to have slideout looked at. My husband spoke to Matt in the service department and he said to bring it in on Tuesday the 17th and he would take a look at it so he took off work to keep the appointment. As soon as he got there, Michael the owner came out and said there's no way that it was going to happen (take a look at it). So we were told to leave it there and they would get to it when they had time. We were told pictures had to be taken, the repair had to be approved then the part would be ordered and it would take awhile to get it in. Michael was very nasty from the first day until the day we picked it up. So on May 17th I got on Forest Rivers customer service website to see if they would be able to help in getting the process moved along more quickly. On June 2nd I called Jake to let him know there was still no time frame or date for when we could get this fixed. Jake said the ram motor is a common part, the repair takes an hour and the part if ordered on a Monday would be shipped on that Thursday and the dealer would received it by the next Monday. He said the motor should have been ordered through Forest River not Lippert since the camper is so new. So knowing this I called Lisa the "warranty department manager" on Saturday June 4th to see if I could get answers on when we may be able to get the slideout fixed. She said they got "pre-approval" for the repair and was waiting for the final approval I guess. Michael called me and said they would for sure call me the next week to let me know what they found out. I never received a call. My husband contacted Lippert who would supply the ram motor and was told it had been ordered June 6th, the Monday after I had spoke to both Lisa and MIchael. So knowing this I called Lisa again on the 16th and she said they were waiting, everything had been approved and expected it to come in the beginning of the next week. She'd call me when it arrived, never received a call. On June 22nd my husband called and Lisa was out so he got to talk to Christine who said the part had been there awhile, didn't he get a call or a postcard saying it had come in. Seriously?? She said to bring it in the next morning, but we do have to work so asked if we could drop it off Saturday and they would fix it Monday. They called Monday morning and said they had it fixed Saturday, we drive an hour each way to get there, you think they could have said why don't you get some lunch and we'll replace the motor today. No... On June 27th when he was finally able to pick it up he got there and Michael yelled to Lisa that "the pain in the ass who keeps calling is here and wants to talk to you". She couldn't be bothered I guess, she never came out. We had bought it the middle of August last year and used it a few times, kept in an enclosed building for the winter and was anxious to use it for Memorial Day weekend. I would never have thought it would take 2 months to get it repaired and on top of that be treated so horribly by the owner. I have a list of items I want to purchase and I would have liked to shopped in their store. Not after the way this whole experience went, I will never step foot on the property or recommend Kamper City to anyone. I will let Jake at Forest River know how Michael treats his customers. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Michael (the owner) and his crew are not only honest and fair, but just about the nicest business people I have encountered. We just bought a used camper trailer here and, from the owner down to the mechanic, we couldn't have asked for better treatment. And when we noticed a problem after we got the camper home, we were told to bring it back and have it fixed for free. No wonder my sister has bought two RVs here. So glad I didn't buy from that big franchise place in Green, where I shopped first. The difference in attitude and service is like night and day. read more
