All natural, he thought it would calm me down and he taught me some breathing techniques to do while he performed the proceedure. He hasn't missed a diagnosis on any of my family members that had medical problems (not just there for routine exams). Internist Dr. Chu was the fourth and my last. He was the only one to help me with my asthma since he once had an asthma/allergy specialty. Other doctors kept telling me they didn't hear a wheeze so they did nothing when I couldn't catch a clean breath and I was suffocating more and more each day. Dr. Chu put me on anti-inflammatory inhalants. Reason for silent gasping? He explained that my bronchi were so tight and inflamed, that I couldn't even manage a cough! He was right. After taking his advice and meds, everything, and I mean everything was hacked up and out. Ask for samples if you are struggling to co-pay for meds. So helpful with information, so supportive of the human condition and remarkable in kindness. Once when I gained a tremendous amount of weight, I asked him, "How come you didn't say anything when you saw the scale?" He chuckled, "Would it have helped?" Genuine, the real deal. Frank, intelligent, funny. He gives you all the time you need. You must make an appt. to see him and if he's not there for an emergency, he'll refer you to another doctor in the same office. He's not into punishing his patients for their shortcomings. He's is 110% supportive to your needs. Another way to spell Dr. Chu? I-N-T-E-G-R-I-T-Y. Go yesterday if you need help. I've referred people who have left their practitioners for him. Offices in POB 2 Queens and out at a Wahiawa clinic. Call for schedule. 532-1311. This man is a gem. I like that. He is a very thorough doctor and is always open to suggestions on how he can better assist you with your care. The staff at this place is also great. The Pali Momi Medical Building is modern, bright, and well maintained. Parking is plentiful in the building or right next door at the mall during the week. I will continue to travel from town to Dr. Washecka's office if need be. He is worth it.

Let me say this up front, Dr. Lee is NOT my physician but he is my grandparents and my uncle's…read morephycisian. I am always bringing them in to see Dr. Lee and usually sit in on their appointments to make sure everything goes okay. So I thought I would write them a review from a non-biased, indirect patient, point of view. There is a lot of parking in the Queen's POB 2 (Parking is $1.00 every half an hour after validation). He is located on the 3rd floor, suite 303. Walking into his office there was a small waiting area with magazines to look at. The receptionist greeted us and we had a seat. Usually we're waiting another 15-20 minutes after our appointment time. This, I don't really like considering we're paying for parking and you set an appointment time and that's when I'm expecting to see the doctor. The reason I gave Dr. Lee one star is because of his service and people skills. As a doctor you are always interacting with people (your patients). This is a very important skill to have especially if your patients are depending on you, as a doctor with their health. Like I said, I've sat in multiple appointments with my relatives making sure everything is taken care of and I am somewhat appalled with how he interacts with my relatives. When asking questions he is always sighing in between questions like he's exasperated or irritated or something. I don't know if he's always having a bad day or always stressed but that's not the way to interact with your patients. Very blunt and very unprofessional in my opinion. I really hope he isn't like this with all his patients but this is just what my experiences are with him. Others may have a different opinion. Some of my relatives have a hard time hearing him and it seems like when he has to repeat himself he gets more irritated. If he reads this, I hope he takes this as constructive criticism and doesn't takes it personally. Does Dr. Lee have credentials? Absolutely, and I can't take that away from him. I saw his certificates up on the wall in his office. He graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa in May of 1979 and has been practicing officially since February of 1981. So he has been practicing for almost 31 years. He must be doing something right, I personally... I'm just not seeing it. Final Comments: I personally don't recommend him because of my above reasoning. Hopefully somebody else has had a better experience than I have. Overall Rating: "POOR" Not the doctor for me. Sorry.

As with any thorough good doctor, he never rushes through his patients appointment so with that you might have a wait of 20-30 ish minutes after checking in for your appointment before you see him.
