The mechanic, Shane, was incredibly thorough and the fact that I know I can trust that the things they tell me I need are actually needed instead of just trying to make a buck off me is the best part. They will also give me a heads up of things I need in the future so I can financially plan for it. Even the car cleaner is wonderful. He went above and beyond and cleaned the inside of my passenger window because soil oil spray has gotten into the window well and I hadn't had a chance to clean it yet. I've been taking my 2019 Suburban and my previous 2009 Silverado to Stop N Go for probably more than 10 years. Shane, Matt and Todd always make sure they take the best care of me. I recently moved 2+ hours away but still take my Suburban to them for my regular maintenance because I trust their knowledge, skill and honesty the most that I couldn't imagine putting my truck in someone elses care. Thanks for always taking care of me and making sure I'm safe, as well as always making me feel like family rather than just a customer. I had a warning light for transmission service so when I Googled the warning it said transmission…read moreservice was required and a likely cause was a pressure sensor . I called Stop N Go to set up an appointment and was told the fee would be $140 and we would go from there . When they called back to tell us the status of their findings they also included other error codes that popped up when they plugged in the diagnostic tool . Long story short it would be over $1,000 including tax to address their findings and they offered no guarantee that this was the answer to the problem . I asked for a breakdown of their cost and I found the cost of the OEM sensor was inflated from $150 to $350 and of course another $180 labour to change it . Their cost to change the transmission fluid was $330 over the phone but $270 when I asked for the costs in print . The cost is $149 to flush and change the transmission fluid at Speedy . The $140 diagnostic fee went form $140 to $189 to tell me exactly what I learned on the internet before I brought it in . They also claimed it took them two hours of shop time to diagnose this as well . They had the car for a total of two hours from the time we dropped it off and I do not believe it was worked on for two hours . They did make a show to pull it down from the hoist when we came to pick it up . We gave the job to Speedy and they did the complete job with a new OEM pressure sensor the same day for $470 . So at the end of the day I saved over $600 with Speedy .Im also out $213.53 ($189 plus tax) to realize "Stop N Go" are a "No Go" . Beware , these guys tried to take advantage of us and I am sure they will do it to you too . The only good thing about this is I can warn you here .

So in the fall I switch my own tires over for winter and when the back wheels were off I noticed the brake drums freely spinning. They aren't suppose to do that which means the mechanic was careless in not securing the brake pad spring properly which took me 30 minutes to reinstall because I didn't have the proper tool.The spring was in perfect shape and not broken but came off due to improper shoddy workmanship. I adjusted the rear drum pads which brought up my brake pedal up over and inch! That's a significant amount of play and unsafe. I contacted the owner and he would not accept responsibility but told me I should of brought it in to fix my issues. Brought the car to Toyota and the before (when these guys were finished with it) EVERYTHING was badly out of alignment. The rear control arms were clearly not even touched with a wrench therefore no adjustment made when they desperately needed it. Pretty bad when these guys charge absolute top dollar for an alignment ($115). Not to mention the alignment rack is probably 20+ years old.

I called Mark's Auto service to see if they worked on classics, I spoke to Mark himself and…read morementioned that I had an oil leak, and that I was aware that these classics were noted for leaks, I stated that I was aware that the valve covers and oil pan were sweating, but did not know if the front crank seal was leaking or not. He set up an appointment for 9:30 on a Wed. morning, I was there right on time, not sure why he requested I bring it in that day as it sat there all day and they did not look at it until the following morning. Mark called me the next morning and asked if I would like to come down and see it while it was on the hoist. I went down and he told me exactly what I had already told him ( that the valve covers and oil pan had a very slow leak) he did tell me that the front crank seal was not leaking and said that I could drive it like that and bring it in later if I chose to have the gaskets replaced. I decided to wait until the fall. They presented me with a bill for 175.00 just to look at the vehicle, another 4.38 enviromental fee ( do not know how they came up with an enviromental fee to look at a vehicle) plus the tax which was grand total of 202.13 just to look at the vehicle in order to provide me with a quote to repair the leaks. I have several classics and have never in all of my life been charged to look at any of my vehicles to quote on a repair, I said to Mark that I could possibly understand a small charge to look at it but this was rediculous, his response was that is what it cost and he walked into another room leaving me with no alternative but to pay this rediculous bill. It is far less expensive to take your vehicle to a dealer than it is to this place, I will not be taking it back there to have the gaskets replaced and strongly suggest that if you require any repairs on your vehicle that you take your vehicle to another shop where you will be treated fairly !!!!

Isn't the point of having a 9:30 appointment that it is in the 9:30 slot? Isn't that what anyone would expect for an appointment anywhere? Would anyone who works at Eccles be ok with this themselves -- dinner reservations, dentists, doctors, haircuts, anything? You show up at 9:30, hang around until 1:30, ask them when you'll be seen and they tell you they don't know where you are in the lineup? No. I told them in that case I would come pick up my car and take it to the dealership. Did so. Got there and got my keys and the lady said, "I'm sorry, I was hoping I could get it looked at today, but we only have two a/c techs." WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU OFFERING A SERVICE THAT YOU CAN'T DO?
