The next day, the low oil light came on. I had to pull over at the side of the road to check - indeed there was no oil measured using the dipstick. Luckily, I was a few hundred metres from a RONA, where I bought oil, and then a quick trip to the Honda dealership. Closed for the weekend, but today I learned that the timing belt had been installed incorrectly, so the oil had all leaked out. I was that close to have a seized engine and thousand of dollars in repairs. I called Active Green + Ross and they said they would do nothing unless I could drive the vehicle back to them...without oil....and I thought they were the car experts! So, they elected to take no responsibility whatsoever for correcting their mistake. I have the photos and description of their shoddy 'repair' from the Honda Dealership, but they say 'only our photos will do'. In my opinion, this is how an unreliable and unethical company operates. Rather than doing the right thing, always finding a reason not to. So, I will be contacting my lawyer and initiating a small claims court case. Obviously, this is a lot of time and stress. My recommendation is to stay away from this place. You have choices and you should choose a place that stands behind their work.

You'll charge me much less than what I think your service is worth. That's GoWrench. They earned every cent of what they took. The most pleasant car mechanic experience I've had. My battery was dead, but anyone I called said I had to take my car to their shop, which meant either a boost or a tow, only to again pay for a new battery. That's when I searched mobile mechanic and find these guys. Just from the initial phone conversation with Kolton I could tell I made a good choice. Jason came out the next day with a van full of things to help. He fixed the battery, took a look at my breaks, and gave my tires some air. They lack competence, respect & empathy…read more In April of 2023, I reached out to GoWrenchAuto to have my off rim tires swapped. I had recently purchased new tires online. Unfortunately, during the service, all four rims were damaged, with scoring on the outer perimeter and claw marks on at least two of the rims. As soon as I noticed the damage, I contacted GoWrenchAuto and provided them with photos as evidence. However, the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), Kolton, took his time and only responded after I left a Google review detailing my experience. He suggested I remove my 1 star Google review until the issue could be fixed. The CBDO acknowledged the damage caused by the tire swap and assured me that the rims would be repaired when I removed the tires again. He suggested that I contact him outside of Tire Season, as it would be easier to get the service completed. In February of 2024, I contacted the CBDO to arrange for the pickup of the rims for refinishing. They were picked up promptly, but I did not receive any updates for a month until I inquired once again. At this point, I realized that dealing with the CBDO was futile, so I requested Joshua Lobardo-Bottema to take over. However, he was unwilling and directed me back to the CBDO, citing personal issues that only the CBDO could handle. On April 18th at 10:50 AM, a set of Mazda Rims was delivered to my home as promised by the CBDO. However, they were removed just five minutes later as they did not belong to me. I received a call from the CBDO explaining that they had mistakenly delivered the incorrect tires/rims. He claimed that he had only just realized that my rims had been sitting in some corner due to the specific bags I had stored my tires in. Since February, my rims had not been touched. The CBDO had promised to personally deliver the rims, but that never happened. Finally, on April 30, the rims were delivered, but they were only washed and not refinished. Furthermore, the GoWrenchAuto agent once again piled the tires in a corner, disregarding the useless instructions of the CBDO. The CBDO offered to pick up the rims and attempt to service them for the first time, but I declined. I had no choice but to put the rims back on my car, as I was not willing to let GoWrenchAuto service them for a third time.

It turns out the auto company who made my car no longer makes the part needed. I paid them the fee I had agreed to up front even though they told me it would be rebated against the actual repair. The service person recommended I go to a national muffler franchise, that they could make the specific parts, and my car would be fixed at a reasonable cost. So i went to muffler franchise they recommended. I got a quote for a whole new exhaust from the engine to the tailpipe. I poliitely thanked them for the quote and left. Well, I thought that my existing car was not worth fixing. But before I gave up on driving my car again I thought I would check with one more muffler expert, Speedy Auto on Fisherman Drive in Brampton. The staff were friendly and offered to put the car up on the hoist and give me a quote. I was pleased with quote and the repair was completed within the hour. The mechanic, Shane, was incredibly thorough and the fact that I know I can trust that the things they tell me I need are actually needed instead of just trying to make a buck off me is the best part. They will also give me a heads up of things I need in the future so I can financially plan for it. Even the car cleaner is wonderful. He went above and beyond and cleaned the inside of my passenger window because soil oil spray has gotten into the window well and I hadn't had a chance to clean it yet. I've been taking my 2019 Suburban and my previous 2009 Silverado to Stop N Go for probably more than 10 years. Shane, Matt and Todd always make sure they take the best care of me. I recently moved 2+ hours away but still take my Suburban to them for my regular maintenance because I trust their knowledge, skill and honesty the most that I couldn't imagine putting my truck in someone elses care. Thanks for always taking care of me and making sure I'm safe, as well as always making me feel like family rather than just a customer. It's comforting to not have to worry and be able to trust in a world full of worry and distrust!

I had a warning light for transmission service so when I Googled the warning it said transmission…read moreservice was required and a likely cause was a pressure sensor . I called Stop N Go to set up an appointment and was told the fee would be $140 and we would go from there . When they called back to tell us the status of their findings they also included other error codes that popped up when they plugged in the diagnostic tool . Long story short it would be over $1,000 including tax to address their findings and they offered no guarantee that this was the answer to the problem . I asked for a breakdown of their cost and I found the cost of the OEM sensor was inflated from $150 to $350 and of course another $180 labour to change it . Their cost to change the transmission fluid was $330 over the phone but $270 when I asked for the costs in print . The cost is $149 to flush and change the transmission fluid at Speedy . The $140 diagnostic fee went form $140 to $189 to tell me exactly what I learned on the internet before I brought it in . They also claimed it took them two hours of shop time to diagnose this as well . They had the car for a total of two hours from the time we dropped it off and I do not believe it was worked on for two hours . They did make a show to pull it down from the hoist when we came to pick it up . We gave the job to Speedy and they did the complete job with a new OEM pressure sensor the same day for $470 . So at the end of the day I saved over $600 with Speedy .Im also out $213.53 ($189 plus tax) to realize "Stop N Go" are a "No Go" . Beware , these guys tried to take advantage of us and I am sure they will do it to you too . The only good thing about this is I can warn you here .
