First off, they're very Covid conscious. If you don't want to go inside, you can give them a call and they will bring your items outside to you. There is hand sanitizer everywhere, and everyone wears masks. Second - my goodness, everyone is SO NICE. Super helpful. I needed to get a prescription filled, and they had me entered into the system quickly and filled the prescription within 15 minutes. They also worked with me on a flu shot I had scheduled to reschedule me to when I wasn't on a steroid treatment. They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them or putting them out, they were truly happy to just be helping me. You're not going to be getting a huge selection of everything you want or need for your pharmacy needs (it's not a Walgreens), but they are going to have something for you. Prices are a little higher, but hey, it's an island. In addition to the 'pharmacy' section, the General Store has a large selection of goods. There is a huge selection for kids - toys, markers, crayons, etc., amongst seasonal items. We're really grateful to have Ray's just a stones throw away for whatever we need!

The representative on the phone could not find my appointment, said they had "lost my appointment," and I was offered an appointment for the following day. After reading online that they have had these issues before and they continue to happen as with me, I decided to not reschedule and go elsewhere. I attempted to call to schedule the appointment, but the voicemail indicated a 48-hour callback policy. Since I was required to complete my physical within that same 48-hour window, I did not want to risk missing the deadline and therefore made the drive to the clinic in person. When I arrived, there were multiple receptionists in the back who could have answered my call but did not. The receptionist who assisted me informed me that I would need to speak with the individual responsible for scheduling physical appointments. I waited for her to come out; she asked a few questions and then returned to the back. When she returned, she appeared disorganized and stated that she was unable to schedule me for that day. Her name is June Hathaway. I found her demeanor to be condescending and unprofessional.

I have been going to Mt. Baker Vision for over a decade. I recently took my daughter to pickup her…read morenew glasses and was helped by a woman I've not seen before. When I noticed her new glasses were bifocals, I informed her there must be a mistake, because all my daughter's lens are single vision. She insisted my daughter has had bifocals for the past 2yrs. I told her no, that's not accurate, back and forth. She turns the laptop towards me and says let me show you. I said I don't need to see inaccurate information and took my daughter current glasses she got 2022 and said this her last glasses and there single vision and laid it down on the desk for her to examine. Instead, this woman all of a sudden raised her voice accused me of yelling at her and that I threw my daughter's glasses at her, right in front of my daughter and others that were in the area. I was taken aback and got angry and then I raised my voice saying "what did you just say? I didn't throw anything at you! Why would you lie and behave so unprofessional in front of other people? I immediately told her, to get someone else. Another person came, she too was insistent claiming my daughter has bifocals and even said she got new bifocal lens last year Not true. She also said her current glasses from 2yrs ago was actually from 2017. Wrong again. Then she says, your right that is from 2yrs ago. I told her to redo her new glasses in single vision and left. I later got a call from office manager and apparently that woman who started this entire situation told the manager I called her a name. That didn't happen either. The manager said she stands by their records. I realized at that moment this office was unwilling to admit or even consider the information in my daughter's records may be wrong and that a mistake was made. Any professional office would of instead said, we'll look into the records and see what's happened, because the records say she had bifocals, but her current and past glasses are all single vision. Nope, they're unwilling to admit they could be wrong. The unprofessional conduct from employees and that awful situation experienced from Mt Baker Vision that day, ended my decades long relationship as customer. What I experienced that day, I will not forget. I left review on their website. It never posted or was deleted.

I found the initial paperwork 'interesting' because it felt so in-depth and then when I went to meet with them for the first time, and now several appointments into my treatment - it all makes sense. If you are more than 5 minutes late, they will cancel your appointment and hit you with a $65 "no show" fee. I think they are a bit over aggressive in making that call as he generally has a number of free chairs, or perhaps, they could just take 5 - 10 minutes off of your treatment time. I found the fee to be quit high as well.
