This place NEVER has anything in stock, I go monthly for TWO controlled prescriptions and of course I HAVE to go in person to check it in, and I find out if it's available that moment, and with this strike going on of course the pharmacy call centers are closed I was basically told yesterday when I went in person to figure out where else I can get it, or order and maybe it'll be here in 3 days. Always friendly and wonderful customer service, even when they are slammed and crazy busy. Israel was especially amazing today in getting 5 more pills that my mother needed for her overseas trip. Her doctor's office (nurse) was hassling me about the request, but Israel took the time to get permission from a pharmacist for a "hold-over" of the 5 pills I needed. Thank you!!! Vitamins, over-the-counter meds of many kinds, even face cream with sunscreen! This place has a lot of what most of us need! They even have an expired meds drop box - look for it- it's bright blue. Kaiser has gone down hill, since when are dogs allowed in the hospital, it's ridiculous. The security guard acid dogs were allowed told me he just started and he didn't know. I advised him he should call into a supervisor and ask, but instead, he just walked away. read more

This used to be the ideal way to pick up prescriptions but now the lines have become excruciatingly long, and there is nowhere to sit while waiting which is unfair for those who are dealing with physical or health issues. There should be a way to take a number like they do in the lab and get called when it's your turn. Unfortunately I was an advocate of Kaiser but the long wait times for appointments and follow-ups and results is unacceptable. Just picked up my medication. Total waiting time was 15 minutes. Checking was smooth and everyone was nice and friendly. Waiting time to check in was less than 5 minutes. And no line at will call. FYI Doctors don't check in prescriptions. Check in your Rx on your KP app. Don't yell and the employees because you don't know the protocols they are just the messengers. read more

I've been coming to this pharmacy for over three years now and they have never gotten the order right - not once. They always blame it on the doctor, or the system, but never take responsibility for it. I just think they are incompetent and cruel. To withhold INSULIN from a type 1 diabetic is insane. We're referred by Woodland Hills pharmacy to pick you the Phenobarbital. They mentioned it should be ready by 11am. We got here by 12pm, check in..the pharmacist said wait 20 minutes. I checked 30mins & they not ready. I understand it was after the holiday but my grandmother hasn't any of the Phenobarbital since Saturday. Another pharmacist told they ONLY have 2mos supply instead of 3mos & I said that's fine as long as she had a supply. I checked in again 30mins later & they said it's not ready yet. They're trying to rush it..it had been 1 hr& 30ms..now Dr. Johnson said they will have it deliver to house within 1-2 hours. Let see what happens. read more

Was at the ER at Kaiser with my mom and when they released her I ran up to the pharmacy to get her meds. There was a small line so not so bad. 15-20 minutes I was quoted. While was waiting there were a few people yelling at the staff about different things. I thought oh my gosh these people are crazy. I wasn't sure how the whole ok it's ready thing worked and after about 30 minutes I hadn't heard them call out anyone's names and there were a couple people waiting. I asked a lady next to me if they call out when your prescription is ready and she wasn't sure either and had been waiting over an hour. By this time there was a very long line because all the staff left but one guy. The other lady and I walked up to the window telling everyone we had already waited in line and everyone was pretty understanding. As soon as we get to the window, the 1 guy starts scolding us about cutting in line. We try to explain that we already were in line and we're waiting for our filled prescriptions. The pharmacist cut us off and said he wasn't going to help us... ok now I know why people were crazy. I shouted over him to tell him we were waiting for our prescriptions and he ignored me. I then noticed many baskets on the counter with prescription bottles in them. I walked up again and asked if the baskets had our filled prescriptions and again he said we would have to wait until he had helped everyone else. Everyone in line now started to raise their voices at this guy and man was he flustered. How can the whole staff leave him all by himself to deal with all these people waiting? DO BETTER Kaiser... hire and staff your pharmacy and figure out how to efficiently get people their meds. read more

24 hours a day... 7 days a week. .. same day walk in scrip fills. How can you beat that. There is plenty of parking and the staff is swift and helpful. The pharmacy also has a large variety of over the counter medications, vitamins, supplies, and medical misc. items. If you call in your prescription it may take a full day to fill it. If you drop it off and wait it will take about 20 minutes. Kaiser has a mail order services (takes a week to 10 days), and special aid for those who are suffering from financial hardship. This is one of the worst pharmacies in the Kaiser Permanente System. The pharmacy is either understaffed or the manager does not know how to order the over-the-counter medicines. The shelves are ALWAYS empty. Today with folks trying to stay well or recover from colds before the holidays, the shelves are bare. This is totally unacceptable and, quite frankly, a waste of time to shop, unless you are already here to pick up a prescription. read more

This facility is huge! They have a 24 hour fitness located inside the hospital building. A little concerned about the amount of space that needs to be walked to get to your location, but that's what happens when the facility is so big. Common with Kaiser facilities. Turns out, after bothering my doctor about it, and driving all the way home, the script was already sent, and the guy at the desk didn't even bother checking. Ordered a prescription to be filled at this location via their online system that was prescribed by my doctor that day. It was a Saturday afternoon so their other locations in my area were closed already and this was the nearest of their 24 hour locations to me. As this was a new prescription I chose the "New Prescription" option as it was time sensitive. The system said these new RXs are usually ready within 30 minutes (which has been true of other locations I have filled at before). Went to run some errands and 2 hours later I still hadn't gotten a notification that it was ready so I decided to go in person and see what was going on. Went to the check in line and was told by the girl there that they don't start working on prescriptions until you are physically in the building and have checked in. Was told even though I'd already waited 2 hours that I'd have to wait another hour in the building because of this, she was also really annoyed with me when I tried to clarify that that was indeed their process even though it's not what the online system says. Would like to know for sure in case a similar situation arises in the future. I understand that they are busy, but I'm really not sure why the online system exists if they aren't going to start filling until you get there? How would anyone even know that is the case, especially when this is not true for their other locations? And I guess I'm still not even sure that is accurate or if she was just trying to get me out of the line. read more

I haven't encountered a terrible experience as of yet and it has been a good couple of years since I been coming to this pharmacy. I usually order my prescriptions online and pick them up at the "pick up" desk .You can also have them delivered to your house (free shopping) but I'm a terrible procrastinator and don't order them in time for me to receive them when I need them so I just pick-up. They're usually ready next day so I rather just go and grab them, then sitting around waiting for them :) read more

Lenny is seriously great. Oftentimes, I visit this pharmacy for prescriptions and everyone is mundane & angry at life, but last night- i had a fantastic experience that i truly believe is a better representation of what it means to be a Kaiser facility. I had a prescription for Flonase at CVS/pharmacy, but recently- have gone back to Kaiser. So, when I received the automatic refill call from CVS, i knew I had a problem. I called CVS and asked them if I could still pick it up from them or if I had to have it transferred to Kaiser. The woman said I'd have to have it transferred. So, I asked her if she would call them and transfer or if Kaiser would and she said the latter. Called Kaiser and spoke to Lenny and he told me CVS would have to call them. I explained to him the conversation and then said "It's fine. No problem, we'll take care of it." and took my number down in order to call me back. He even said "If you don't hear back from us by 8:30, give us a call and we'll give you an update." He was kind and helpful and I appreciated that. 1 star was docked, as I never got my follow-up call, but I was in the area, anyway, so I went in- found James Webber, who told me it wS ready, made a joke about allergies and had me in and out in less than 5. He was also incredibly helpful and kind to the couple directly before me. You can tell this man enjoys his career choice. Thank you, Lenny and James! read more
