They took me in before my appointment time which is the opposite of what used to happen. Today Physician Assistant Chantelle Utey took care of me today. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, caring, confident, polite, and made me feel like I was back in South Orange County. Omni must be under new management because this is not the Omni I remember. If you are a new managager; thank you for doing a great job. I would have given a five star rating; but I have to see consistent service from future visits to verify that this was not a one time exception. The first time it was to get refills for 2 medications. I drove to the Ridgecrest office and when I told receptionist she made me check in, then nurse came out, took info down, and called me shortly after to tell me that the NP I see wasn't comfortable writing either Rx & wanted me to see Psychiatrist. I have been taking antidepressants for over 25 years, and I had no refills left. I don't know why she didn't write Rx for 1 month to give me time to see my Dr. My primary Dr. told me I had to get bloodwork first & then would write Rx after that at follow up appointment. I have been out of my Sertraline for 4 days. It is an antidepressant, NOT a narcotic. Do these people realize how BAD it is to go off of antidepressants for any length of time? That's what causes people to go postal!

I'll see about the expiration dates. I actually love the way the office is designed. It's eclectic and creative. I like that it's not the same old same old as many other offices. The desert colors that are not drab make this an unusual place. Even the design of the building is different! I'm allergic to just about everything, plants, trees, mold, dander, cockroaches (yuck) they are all over this city!, dust, perfume. In fact, after looking at my test in Alabama, the doctor joked he's just have to shoot me. I have not had any problems with allergies here. They offer the fast and slow methods. I had a lot of issues and had to quit one office in AL because they did the cluster method. I like they offer both here. If you want the usual boring office go somewhere else. The only issue I had was the doctors obliviously hasn't had a weight problem. He seems to think you can just stop eating after a certain time. Doesn't work for me. I'm use to doctors men especially thinking it's easy. This makes him seem abrupt but he's a great doctor. He exhausts all possible causes of your symptoms. I'd rather have a competent doctor than a plain office and perfect bedside manner. One of the best doctors I had also treated diabetes. He wouldn't see patients who wouldn't follow there diets and wouldn't quit smoking. If you didn't wear your medic alert, he wouldn't see you. So, think again about your priorities for a doctor!
