Doctor Taylor was engaged, explained the injury and what I needed to do to regain mobility in my hand. The nursing staff was very supportive & I felt like I was in good hands. On follow-up I met with Jonathan & he was also superb. Asked questions, and made a number of suggestions that I think will be very useful. Jonathan thought to ask about other potential injuries from the fall to look out for - I'd banged my knee pretty hard, but it had been kinda neglected. There was no change in the level of care provided (mom was admitted at the highest care level offered) and we had a contract in place!! Being a small town with limited options we paid the increase. We had to deal with several issues while mom was there, employees that were caught stealing and were fired only to be hired back later. Another employee was caught drunk on the job and neglected to give the patients their medications! The owner Liza is not a nice person, very argumentative and can become extremely rude and nasty. The straw that broke the camels back and the reason for this review is the phone call we received the day before our mothers burial. We went to clear out moms room (we got a call from Liza letting us know she already had the room booked and we needed to pick up her belongings ASAP even though we paid for the entire month) and we noticed that a hand made quilt was no longer in the room. We asked about the quilt with the staff and was advised they would look for it and get back to us. Fast forward to the day before the burial, Liza calls and begins to argue with us stating that we never brought over the quilt and quickly became her usual nasty self talking over us and calling us liars. The facility is continuosly under staffed, the staff they do have are not qualified, one of the employees currently on staff is eighty (80) years old!!! i have been a patient here since they opened. i have no issues with the doctors, they do amazing…read morework. but they should really look at their management. i missed an appt. it was beyond my control. i had to pick my children up unexpectedly and then i go into work early. last thing i was thinking about was my dentist appt. they called me day of one minute past time i was supposed to be there and asked if i was coming. i said no and explained what was going on and SHE said it was okay, there's normally a fee but because this was unexpected and i didn't just miss my appt because i was sitting around with my thumb in my butt, that she'd ask the manager if she could waive it. i get put on hold, she comes back and states the manager said it was fine. she sat and rescheduled my appt and said the fee wouldn't apply. i called the day of my new appt to confirm and the manager answers the phone and tells me i have a $60 balance for not showing up. i explained it all to her and she "doesn't recall that happening" and that my appt was never rescheduled because i have to pay my balance off first to make a new appt. come to find out the girl scheduled my son for an appt because our accounts are all linked because i'm his mother, and he didn't show for that appt because neither his dad or myself knew about it because it was supposed to be mine. does he have a $60 cancellation fee for not showing? probably but i won't be paying mine or his.
