Doctor Taylor was engaged, explained the injury and what I needed to do to regain mobility in my hand. The nursing staff was very supportive & I felt like I was in good hands. On follow-up I met with Jonathan & he was also superb. Asked questions, and made a number of suggestions that I think will be very useful. Jonathan thought to ask about other potential injuries from the fall to look out for - I'd banged my knee pretty hard, but it had been kinda neglected. The psychiatry side is kind of hit or miss. The telemedicine portion is surprisingly useful (when there isn't a technical difficulty) and the psychiatrist is phenomenal. The desk staff used to be pretty horrible but a recent change has changed the whole feel of services provided here. The therapy staff are pretty basic and can handle general mental health issues but falls short when it comes to anything more intense. The urgent care center is pretty efficient and the staff are exemplary in this regard, and also compassionate. Please be advised that most staff for the RHC will -not- fill out forms for government agencies, Federal or County, even if they are your GP.

I sat in the waiting room at Ridgecrest Hospital for eight hours and never got past triage. Eight…read morehours. No bed, no admission, no real evaluation beyond the initial triage stop. I was told it might be a kidney infection and then left to sit there while the clock ran. Possible kidney infection is not a "wait it out in the lobby" diagnosis. It is the kind of thing that needs timely labs, imaging, and actual medical attention, not a chair and a hope that someone eventually has time. I never made it farther than triage. I was not admitted. I was not treated in any meaningful way. I was given a possible diagnosis and effectively sent on my way after wasting an entire day in their waiting room. If the emergency department cannot move a patient with a suspected kidney infection past the front door in eight hours, it is not functioning as an emergency department. The billing side is just as bad. I have been sending monthly payments, and their accounting department still cannot track the installments. Payments go in, the balance does not reflect them correctly, and getting anyone to reconcile what has already been paid is useless. Long wait, no admission, a shrug of a diagnosis, and an accounting department that cannot add up monthly payments. That is the experience. I would not go back.

I had been going to another dentist who told me that I would "always" require periodontic work, and I had accepted that prognosis. When that dentist left town, I had to find another one. Dr. Christenson is very close to where I live, so I thought "why not give him a try"... I've been hooked on him ever since I started going to him. When I started seeing him, I had to have gum surgery (performed by an oral surgeon). When I healed I went back to Dr. Christenson and he took his time to show me what I was doing wrong (not brushing long enough, etc...) and now, because of his expert advice, I no longer need periodontic work!!! And that's been about 2 years now.... I highly recommend Dr. Christenson.

They are attentive, respectful, mindful, thorough, and consistent. The psychiatrist I saw was willing to listen to my mental problems and I think June the therapist was a very sweet lady there to just listen which I can always appreciate. I really like the dentist I see. She and the assistants make me feel comfortable and they seem non judgemental. I have the nastiest teeth for a 32 year old. Tsk tsk on me. The substance abuse counselor, Mr. Felix was such a breath of fresh air. He went at my pace and we set realistic goals for my road to recovery. I will always choose their services over anyone else's except I'm in a program which means I have to see my program's psychiatrist only. Very good people and professional :)
