They offered an option where I could bring in the removable window the next day and pick it up the same day. Unfortunately, we couldn't figure out how to remove the window, so we went with the second option. The workers were very nice, friendly, and professional. They were able to repair the window right on the spot instead of removing it, taking it back to the shop, and returning to the property to reinstall it. This was especially convenient since the property was vacant and saved me from having to spend a few hours there waiting for them to return since I did not drive there that day. Building management recommended me a glass company but the estimate came out to $6000+. One piece of glass for $6000+ is ridiculous. I called my insurance company and asked them for a recommendation. They told me to call Akamai Glass company. I called them and they were available to come check out the door as soon as possible. They provided the estimate a day or two later via email after checking the glass. And by the following month they installed the glass door. Their service is very fast. The price was still expensive for me personally but it was half the price of the initial glass company I was introduced to. Service was excellent and the glass installation went smooth. They brought all their equipments and knew what they were doing. Also, no shattered pieces were left behind. I definitely will be calling them again if we have another glass problem.

Lately there's been a freakin fly invasion and somehow those suckers found an errant screen window and infiltrated like a SWAT team. My handy Costco Connection magazine took them out but it was time to get new screens. So I called Island Wide Screens to the rescue! While it did take almost a month before I could get an appointment (and in between the wait a handyman tried to fix the most problematic screen), and amazingly they showed up! Jess gave me a morning reminder call and kept me apprised when they were heading over. Their truck has all the supplies including electricity if they need to fabricate new frames. Fortunately my existing custom frames just needed the screens replaced. Chris easily took the five large screens to his truck and redid the screens in about an hour! You'll understand why I find that amazing as the handyman took 3 days to do 5 screens, two of which he remade twice. Such a difference working with the professionals at Island Wide Screens. My screens look great and the cost was under $200. I like supporting a family-run business that gives great customer service! I will replace my other screens when I save up!

They explained that the door is made on the Mainland, it is custom made to fit my door frame, and may take 2+ months. While the estimating process requires their staff to conduct a site visit for measurements and it took a few days to complete, the staff were polite and professional. They explained the pricing and the time-frame required to make the door. On installation day two workers showed up to do the job, and they were technically proficient, polite, courteous, and professional. The quality and workmanship of the door is excellent. I am very happy with the installed product and the polite and professional demeanor of the office staff and installation crew. Highly recommended!!!

There was what I would characterize as a miscommunication regarding our installation. One of the key selling points was the door can be keyed-alike to the Kwik-Set locks on my existing adjacent wood door. I told everyone I talked to - multiple sales people, guy that came to measure, guy that installed - that that is what I want. It is not until after I wait for delivery and the door is installed that they tell me THEY don't do the keying. An obnoxious person, who I'm guessing is the owner, called to tell me that the keying CAN be done but they CAN'T do it. I told him that's what I ordered and he tells me that Gabrielle, who I talked to multiple times, did not say that S&T would do this. He says Gabrielle trains their sales people. He was adamant she did not say anything like that. Somehow he was listening in on our conversations. I told him if she or anyone else had once said the word "locksmith" there would not be this confusion. I ended up hiring a locksmith to come in and complete the installation. As I said, there are others that install the same thing. That one guy made sure I never recommend or do business with them again.
