The chicken was very bland and the sauce on it was very watery and not sticky at all. 2/5 stars. Rice and Mac salad were standard fare and decently good, but the main dishes really dragged it down. I get it, being at an event serving hundreds of people, I think they just weren't prepared. My chicken looks nothing like the restaurants' photo of the chicken so I think they were just rushing through the orders, making extra to get by but not really having time to get the recipes 100% right. After living in Hawaii for a few years of my adult life, I've been waiting for Hawaiian food to hit the good 'ol 417, but this didn't quite do it for me. Speedy's specializes in Hawaiian food. All meals are $8 (not 6.99 like on their website) and are made with local, fresh ingredients. I decided to go out on a limb for Taco Tuesday and get their taco's (the cook was awesome and gave me one chicken and one pork) and I didn't regret it. The tacos had a lot of meat (no skimping on the ingredients) and tasted really fresh. Loved the cilantro too. The optional spicy sauce was also amazing. Their fries looked homemade with cayenne and marash pepper and drizzled with honey (very similar to ones I've had at a gourmet restaurant so they were fantastic). I also got a complementary honey roll that was tiny but tasty. The only complaint I had was that they couldn't get my card to scan so I had to pay in cash and the pork taco was a little greasy.
